2 And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose namewasZiba. And when they had called him unto David, the kingsaid unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servantis he.[x]MKJV: And [there was] of the house of Saul a servant whose name [was] Ziba. And they called him to David, and the king said to him, [Are] you Ziba? And he said, Your servant. BBE: Now there was of Saul's people a servant named Ziba, and they sent him to David; and the king said to him, Are you Ziba? And he said, I am. 2 Now there was of Saul's people a servant named Ziba, and they sent him to David; and the king said to him, Are you Ziba? And he said, I am.
2 사울의 종 하나가 있으니 그 이름은 시바라 저를 다윗의 앞으로 부르매 왕이 저에게 묻되 네가 시바냐 가로되 종이 그로소이다
3 And the kingsaid, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Zibasaid unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which islame on hisfeet.[x]MKJV: And the king said, [is] there not still any of the house of Saul, so that I may show the kindness of God to him? And Ziba said to the king, Jonathan still has a son, [who is] lame in his feet. BBE: And the king said, Is there anyone of Saul's family still living, to whom I may be a friend in God's name? And Ziba said, There is a son of Jonathan, whose feet are damaged. 3 And the king said, Is there anyone of Saul's family still living, to whom I may be a friend in God's name? And Ziba said, There is a son of Jonathan, whose feet are damaged.
3 왕이 가로되 사울의 집에 남은 사람이 없느냐 내가 그 사람에게 하나님의 은총을 베풀고자 하노라 시바가 왕께 고하되 요나단의 아들 하나가 있는데 절뚝발이니이다
4 And the kingsaid unto him, Whereis he? And Zibasaid unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.[x]MKJV: And the king said to him, Where [is] he? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he [is] in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar. BBE: And the king said to him, Where is he? 4 And the king said to him, Where is he? And Ziba said to the king, He is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.

5 Then kingDavidsent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.[x]MKJV: And King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar. 6 Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And Davidsaid, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant![x]MKJV: And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came to David, and fell on his face and bowed to him. And David said, Mephibosheth! And he answered, Behold your servant! BBE: And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, came to David, and falling down on his face, gave him honour. And David said, Mephibosheth. 6 And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, came to David, and falling down on his face, gave him honour. And David said, Mephibosheth. And answering he said, Your servant is here.

7 And Davidsaid unto him, Fear not: for I will surelyshow thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eatbread at my tablecontinually.[x]MKJV: And David said to him, Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father's sake, and will restore you all the land of Saul your father. And you shall eat bread at my table forever. BBE: And David said to him, Have no fear: for truly I will be good to you, because of your father Jonathan, and I will give back to you all the land which was Saul's; and you will have a place at my table at all times. 7 다윗이 가로되 무서워 말라 내가 반드시 네 아비 요나단을 인하여 네게 은총을 베풀리라 내가 네 조부 사울의 밭을 다 네게 도로 주겠고 또 너는 항상 내 상에서 먹을찌니라
8 And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a deaddog as I am?[x]MKJV: And he bowed himself and said, What [is] your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I? BBE: And he went down on his face before the king, and said, What is your servant, for you to take note of a dead dog such as I am? KAV: 그가 절하여 이르되, 주의 종이 무엇이기에 왕께서 나같이 죽은 개를 돌아보시나이까? 하니라. 8 And he went down on his face before the king, and said, What is your servant, for you to take note of a dead dog such as I am?

9 Then the kingcalled to Ziba, Saul'sservant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master'sson all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.[x]MKJV: Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said to him, I have given to your master's son all that [belonged] to Saul and to all his house. BBE: Then the king sent for Ziba, Saul's servant, and said to him, All the property of Saul and of his family I have given to your master's son. 9 Then the king sent for Ziba, Saul's servant, and said to him, All the property of Saul and of his family I have given to your master's son.
9 왕이 사울의 사환 시바를 불러서 이르되 사울과 그 온 집에 속한 것은 내가 다 네 주인의 아들에게 주었노니
10 Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master'sson may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master'sson shall eatbreadalway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteenㆍsons and twentyservants.[x]MKJV: And you shall till the land for him, you and your sons and your servants. And you shall bring in [the fruits] so that your master's son may have bread to eat. But Mephibosheth, your master's son, shall eat bread always at my table. And Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants. BBE: And you and your sons and your servants are to take care of the land for him, and get in the fruit of it, so that your master's son may have food: but Mephibosheth, your master's son, will have a place at my table at all times. 10 And you and your sons and your servants are to take care of the land for him, and get in the fruit of it, so that your master's son may have food: but Mephibosheth, your master's son, will have a place at my table at all times. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
10 너와 네 아들들과 네 종들은 저를 위하여 밭을 갈고 거두어 네 주인의 아들을 공궤하라 그러나 네 주인의 아들 므비보셋은 항상 내 상에서 먹으리라 하니라 시바는 아들이 열 다섯이요 종이 스물이라
11 Then saidZiba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servantdo. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king'ssons.[x]MKJV: And Ziba said to the king, According to all that my lord the king has commanded his servant, so shall your servant do. And Mephibosheth [was] eating at my table like one of the king's sons. BBE: Then Ziba said to the king, Every order which you have given to your servant will be done. As for Mephibosheth, he had a place at David's table, like one of the king's sons. 11 Then Ziba said to the king, Every order which you have given to your servant will be done. As for Mephibosheth, he had a place at David's table, like one of the king's sons.
11 시바가 왕께 고하되 내 주 왕께서 온갖 일을 종에게 명하신대로 종이 준행하겠나이다 하니라 므비보셋은 왕자 중 하나처럼 왕의 상에서 먹으니라
12 And Mephibosheth had a youngson, whose namewasMicha. And all that dwelt in the house of Zibawereservants unto Mephibosheth.[x]MKJV: And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name [was] Micah. And all that lived in the house of Ziba [were] servants to Mephibosheth. BBE: And Mephibosheth had a young son named Mica. And all the people living in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth. KAV: 므비보셋에게 젊은 아들 하나가 있었는데 그의 이름은 미가더라. 시바의 집에 거하던 모든 자가 므비보셋의 종이 되니라. 12 And Mephibosheth had a young son named Mica. And all the people living in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth.

13 So Mephiboshethdwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eatcontinually at the king'stable; and was lame on both his feet.[x]MKJV: And Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem. For he always sat at the king's table. And he [was] lame in both his feet. BBE: So Mephibosheth went on living in Jerusalem; for he took all his meals at the king's table; and he had not the use of his feet. 13 So Mephibosheth went on living in Jerusalem; for he took all his meals at the king's table; and he had not the use of his feet.
