And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it: and they built forts against it round about.1 Now in the ninth year of his rule, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came against Jerusalem with all his army and took up his position before it, building earthworks all round the town.1 시드기야 구년 시월 십일에 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 그 모든 군대를 거느리고 예루살렘을 치러 올라와서 진을 치고 사면으로 토성을 쌓으매
And the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.2 And the town was shut in by their forces till the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.2 성이 시드기야왕 십 일년까지 에워싸였더니
And on the ninth day of the fourth month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.3 Now on the ninth day of the fourth month, the store of food in the town was almost gone, so that there was no food for the people of the land.3 그 사월 구일에 성중에 기근이 심하여 그 땅 백성의 양식이 진하였고
And the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king's garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:) and the king went the way toward the plain.4 So an opening was made in the wall of the town, and all the men of war went in flight by night through the doorway between the two walls which was by the king's garden; (now the Chaldaeans were stationed round the town:) and the king went by the way of the Arabah.4 갈대아 사람이 그 성읍을 에워쌌으므로 성벽에 구멍을 뚫은지라 모든 군사가 밤중에 두 성벽 사이 왕의 동산 곁문 길로 도망하여 아라바 길로 가더니
And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him.5 But the Chaldaean army went after the king, and overtook him in the lowlands of Jericho, and all his army went in flight from him in every direction.5 갈대아 군사가 왕을 쫓아가서 여리고 평지에 미치매 왕의 모든 군사가 저를 떠나 흩어진지라
So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him.6 And they made the king a prisoner and took him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah to be judged.6 갈대아 군사가 왕을 잡아 립나 바벨론 왕에게로 끌고 가매 저에게 신문하고
And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.7 And they put the sons of Zedekiah to death before his eyes, and then they put out his eyes, and chaining him with iron bands, took him to Babylon.7 시드기야의 아들들을 저의 목전에서 죽이고 시드기야의 두 눈을 빼고 사슬로 결박하여 바벨론으로 끌어갔더라
And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which is the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem:8 Now in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem;8 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 십 구년 오월 칠일에 바벨론 왕의 신하 시위대 장관 느부사라단이 예루살렘에 이르러
And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man's house burnt he with fire.9 And he had the house of the Lord and the king's house and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, burned with fire;9 여호와의 전과 왕궁을 사르고 예루살렘의 모든 집을 귀인의 집까지 불살랐으며
And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.10 And the walls round Jerusalem were broken down by the Chaldaean army which was with the captain.10 시위대 장관을 좇는 갈대아 온 군대가 예루살렘 사면 성벽을 헐었으며
Now the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carry away.11 And the rest of the people who were still in the town, and all those who had given themselves up to the king of Babylon, and all the rest of the workmen, Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, took away as prisoners;11 성중에 남아 있는 백성과 바벨론 왕에게 항복한 자와 무리의 남은 자는 시위대 장관 느부사라단이 다 사로잡아가고
But the captain of the guard left of the poor of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen.12 But he let the poorest of the land go on living there, to take care of the vines and the fields.12 빈천한 국민을 그 땅에 남겨두어 포도원을 다스리는 자와 농부가 되게 하였더라
And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brazen sea that was in the house of the LORD, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.13 And the brass pillars in the house of the Lord, and the wheeled bases, and the great brass water-vessel in the house of the Lord, were broken up by the Chaldaeans, who took the brass to Babylon.13 갈대아 사람이 또 여호와의 전의 두 놋기둥과 받침들과 여호와의 전의 놋바다를 깨뜨려 그 놋을 바벨론으로 가져가고
And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.14 And the pots and the spades and the scissors for the lights and the spoons, and all the brass vessels used in the Lord's house, they took away.14 또 가마들과 부삽들과 불집게들과 숟가락들과 섬길 때에 쓰는 모든 놋그릇을 다 가져 갔으며
And the firepans, and the bowls, and such things as were of gold, in gold, and of silver, in silver, the captain of the guard took away.15 And the fire-trays and the basins; the gold of the gold vessels and the silver of the silver vessels, were all taken away by the captain of the armed men.15 시위대 장관이 또 불 옮기는 그릇들과 주발들 곧 금물의 금과 은물의 은을 가져갔으며
The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the LORD; the brass of all these vessels was without weight.16 The two pillars, the great water-vessel and the wheeled bases, which Solomon had made for the house of the Lord: the brass of all these vessels was without weight.16 또 솔로몬이 여호와의 전을 위하여 만든 두 기둥과 한 바다와 받침들을 취하였는데 이 모든 기구의 놋 중수를 헤아릴 수 없었으니
The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it was brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work.17 One of the pillars was eighteen cubits high, with a crown of brass on it; the crown was three cubits high, circled with a network and apples all of brass; and the second pillar had the same.17 그 한 기둥은 고가 십 팔 규빗이요 그 꼭대기에 놋머리가 있어 고가 삼 규빗이요 그 머리에 둘린 그물과 석류가 다 놋이라 다른 기둥의 장식과 그물도 이와 같았더라
And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:18 And the captain of the armed men took Seraiah, the chief priest, and Zephaniah, the second priest, and the three door-keepers;18 시위대 장관이 대제사장 스라야와 부제사장 스바냐와 전 문지기 세 사람을 잡고
And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king's presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city:19 And from the town he took the unsexed servant who was over the men of war, and five of the king's near friends who were in the town, and the scribe of the captain of the army, who was responsible for getting the people of the land together in military order, and sixty men of the people of the land who were in the town.19 또 성중에서 사람을 잡았으니 곧 군사를 거느린 내시 하나와 또 성중에서 만난바 왕의 시종 다섯 사람과 국민을 초모하는 장관의 서기관 하나와 성중에서 만난바 국민 육십명이라
And Nebuzaradan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah:20 These Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, took with him to the king of Babylon at Riblah.20 시위대 장관 느부사라단이 저희를 잡아가지고 립나 바벨론 왕에게 나아가매
And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.21 And the king of Babylon put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was taken away prisoner from his land.21 바벨론 왕이 하맛 땅 립나에서 다 쳐 죽였더라 이와 같이 유다가 사로잡혀 본토에서 떠났더라
And as for the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler.22 As for the people who were still living in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, did not take away, he made Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler over them.22 유다 땅에 머물러 있는 백성은 곧 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 남긴 자라 왕이 사반의 손자 아히감의 아들 그달리야로 관할하게 하였더라
And when all the captains of the armies, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, there came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Careah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.23 Now the captains of the armed forces, hearing that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah ruler, came with their men to Gedaliah at Mizpah; Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan, the son of Kareah, and Seraiah, the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah, the son of the Maacathite, came with all their men.23 모든 군대 장관과 그 좇는 자가 바벨론 왕이 그달리야로 방백을 삼았다 함을 듣고 이에 느다니야의 아들 이스마엘과 가레아의 아들 요하난과 느도바 사람 단후멧의 아들 스라야와 마아가 사람의 아들 야아사니야와 그 좇는 사람이 모두 미스바로 가서 그달리야에게 나아가매
And Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.24 Then Gedaliah gave his oath to them and their men, saying, Have no fear because of the servants of the Chaldaeans; go on living in the land under the rule of the king of Babylon, and all will be well.24 그달리야가 저희와 그 좇는 자들에게 맹세하여 이르되 너희는 갈대아 신복을 인하여 두려워 말고 이 땅에 거하여 바벨론 왕을 섬기라 그리하면 너희가 평안하리라 하니라
But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at Mizpah.25 But in the seventh month, Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the king's seed, came with ten men and made an attack on Gedaliah, causing his death and the death of the Jews and the Chaldaeans who were with him at Mizpah.25 칠월에 왕족 엘리사마의 손자 느다니야의 아들 이스마엘이 십인을 거느리고 와서 그달리야를 쳐서 죽이고 또 저와 함께 미스바에 있는 유다 사람과 갈대아 사람을 죽인지라
And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.26 Then all the people, small and great, and the captains of the forces, got up and went away to Egypt, for fear of the Chaldaeans.26 대소 백성과 군대 장관들이 다 일어나서 애굽으로 갔으니 이는 갈대아 사람을 두려워함이었더라
And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;27 And in the thirty-seventh year after Jehoiachin, king of Judah, had been taken prisoner, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, Evil-merodach, king of Babylon, in the first year of his rule, took Jehoiachin, king of Judah, out of prison;27 유다 왕 여호야긴이 사로잡혀 간지 삼십 칠년 곧 바벨론 왕 에윌므로닥의 즉위한 원년 십 이월 이십 칠일에 유다 왕 여호야긴을 옥에서 내어놓아 그 머리를 들게 하고
And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon;28 And said kind words to him, and put his seat higher than the seats of the other kings who were with him in Babylon.28 선히 말하고 그 위를 바벨론에 저와 함께 있는 모든 왕의 위보다 높이고
And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.29 And his prison clothing was changed, and he was a guest at the king's table every day for the rest of his life.29 그 죄수의 의복을 바꾸게 하고 그 일평생에 항상 왕의 앞에서 먹게 하였고
And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.30 And for his food, the king gave him a regular amount every day for the rest of his life.30 저의 쓸 것은 날마다 왕에게서 받는 정수가 있어서 종신토록 끊이지 아니하였더라
