1 In his days, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came up and Jehoiakim was his servant for three years; then he took up arms against him.
1 여호야김 시대에 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 올라오매 여호야김이 삼년을 섬기다가 돌이켜 저를 배반하였더니
2 And the LORDsent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spakeby his servants the prophets.[x]MKJV: And the LORD sent against him troops of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and troops of the Moabites, and troops of the Ammonites. 2 And the Lord sent against him bands of the Chaldaeans and of the Edomites and of the Moabites and of the children of Ammon; sending them against Judah for its destruction, as he had said by his servants the prophets.
2 여호와께서 그 종 선지자들로 하신 말씀과 같이 갈대아의 부대와 아람의 부대와 모압의 부대와 암몬 자손의 부대를 여호야김에게로 보내어 유다를 쳐 멸하려 하시니
3 Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to removethem out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;[x]MKJV: Surely at the commandment of the Lord [this] came on Judah, to remove [them] out of His sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did; BBE: Only by the word of the Lord did this fate come on Judah, to take them away from before his face; because of the sins of Manasseh and all the evil he did; KAV: {주}의 명령에 따라 확실히 이 일이 유다에 임하였으니 이것은 므낫세의 죄들로 인하여 그가 행한 모든 것에 따라 그분께서 그들을 자신의 눈앞에서 옮기려 하심이었더라.
3 Only by the word of the Lord did this fate come on Judah, to take them away from before his face; because of the sins of Manasseh and all the evil he did;
3 이 일이 유다에 임함은 곧 여호와의 명하신바로 저희를 자기 앞에서 물리치고자 하심이니 이는 므낫세의 지은 모든 죄로 인함이며
4 And also for the innocentblood that he shed: for he filledJerusalem with innocentblood; which the LORDwould not pardon.[x]MKJV: and also for the innocent blood which he shed, for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, which the LORD would not pardon. BBE: And because of the death of those who had done no wrong, for he made Jerusalem full of the blood of the upright; and the Lord had no forgiveness for it. KAV: 또한 그것은 그가 흘린 무죄한 피로 인함이었으니 그가 무죄한 피를 예루살렘에 가득하게 하였으므로 {주}께서 이 일을 용서하려 하지 아니하셨더라.
4 And because of the death of those who had done no wrong, for he made Jerusalem full of the blood of the upright; and the Lord had no forgiveness for it.
4 또 저가 무죄한 자의 피를 흘려 그 피로 예루살렘에 가득하게 하였음이라 여호와께서 사하시기를 즐겨하지 아니하시니라
5 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chroniclesof the kings of Judah?[x]MKJV: And the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, [are] they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah? BBE: Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all he did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah? KAV: ¶ 이제 여호야김의 남은 행적과 그가 행한 모든 일은 유다 왕들의 연대기 책에 기록되어 있지 아니하냐?

5 여호야김의 남은 사적과 모든 행한 일은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
6 So Jehoiakimslept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his sonreigned in his stead.[x]MKJV: And Jehoiakim slept with his fathers. And Jehoiachin his son reigned in his place. BBE: So Jehoiakim went to rest with his fathers; and Jehoiachin his son became king in his place. KAV: 이처럼 여호야김이 자기 조상들과 함께 잠드니 그의 아들 여호야긴이 그를 대신하여 통치하니라.
6 So Jehoiakim went to rest with his fathers; and Jehoiachin his son became king in his place.
6 여호야김이 그 열조와 함께 자매 그 아들 여호야긴이 대신하여 왕이 되니라
7 And the king of Egyptcame not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt unto the riverEuphrates all that pertained to the king of Egypt.[x]MKJV: And the king of Egypt did not come again out of his land any more. For the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt to the river Euphrates all that [belonged to] the king of Egypt. BBE: And the king of Egypt did not come out of his land again, for the king of Babylon had taken all his country, from the stream of Egypt to the river Euphrates. KAV: 이집트 왕이 다시는 자기 땅에서 나오지 못하였으니 이는 바빌론 왕이 이집트의 강에서부터 유프라테스 강에 이르기까지 이집트 왕에게 속한 모든 곳을 점령하였기 때문이더라.
7 And the king of Egypt did not come out of his land again, for the king of Babylon had taken all his country, from the stream of Egypt to the river Euphrates.
7 애굽 왕이 다시는 그 나라에서 나오지 못하였으니 이는 바벨론 왕이 애굽 하수에서부터 유브라데 하수까지 애굽 왕에게 속한 땅을 다 취하였음이더라
8Jehoiachinwaseighteenㆍyearsold when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalemthreemonths. And his mother'snamewasNehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.[x]MKJV: Jehoiachin [was] eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. 8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, he was ruling in Jerusalem for three months, and his mother's name was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
8 여호야긴이 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 십 팔 세라 예루살렘에서 석 달을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 느후스다라 예루살렘 엘라단의 딸이더라
9 And he didthat which wasevil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.[x]MKJV: And he did the evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done. BBE: He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his father had done. KAV: 여호야긴이 자기 아버지가 행한 모든 것에 따라 {주}의 눈앞에서 악한 것을 행하였더라.

10 At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzarking of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.[x]MKJV: At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged. BBE: At that time the armies of Nebuchadnezzar came up to Jerusalem and the town was shut in on every side. KAV: ¶ 그때에 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살의 신하들이 예루살렘을 치러 올라와 그 도시를 에워싸니라.
10 At that time the armies of Nebuchadnezzar came up to Jerusalem and the town was shut in on every side.

11 And Nebuchadnezzarking of Babyloncame against the city, and his servants did besiege it.[x]MKJV: And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants besieged it. 12 And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylontook him in the eighthyear of his reign.[x]MKJV: And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he and his mother, and his servants, and his leaders, and his eunuchs. And the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign. BBE: Then Jehoiachin, king of Judah, went out to the king of Babylon, with his mother and his servants and his chiefs and his unsexed servants; and in the eighth year of his rule the king of Babylon took him. KAV: 유다 왕 여호야긴이 자기 어머니와 신하들과 통치자들과 관리들과 함께 바빌론 왕에게 나아가매 바빌론 왕이 자신의 통치 제팔년에 그를 붙잡으니라.
12 Then Jehoiachin, king of Judah, went out to the king of Babylon, with his mother and his servants and his chiefs and his unsexed servants; and in the eighth year of his rule the king of Babylon took him.
12 유다 왕 여호야긴이 그 모친과 신복과 방백들과 내시들과 함께 바벨론 왕에게 나아가매 왕이 잡으니 때는 바벨론 왕 팔년이라
13 And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king'shouse, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomonking of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.[x]MKJV: And [he] carried out from there all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said. BBE: And he took away all the stored wealth of the Lord's house, and the goods from the king's store-house, cutting up all the gold vessels which Solomon, king of Israel, had made in the house of the Lord, as the Lord had said. KAV: 그가 {주}께서 말씀하신 대로 {주}의 집의 모든 보물과 왕의 집의 보물을 거기서 가져가고 또 이스라엘 왕 솔로몬이 {주}의 성전에서 만든 금 그릇을 다 산산조각 내었더라.
13 And he took away all the stored wealth of the Lord's house, and the goods from the king's store-house, cutting up all the gold vessels which Solomon, king of Israel, had made in the house of the Lord, as the Lord had said.
13 저가 여호와의 전의 모든 보물과 왕궁 보물을 집어내고 또 이스라엘 왕 솔로몬이 만든 것 곧 여호와의 전의 금 기명을 다 훼파하였으니 여호와의 말씀과 같이 되었더라
14 And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, evententhousandcaptives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.[x]MKJV: And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the leaders, and all the mighty men of war, ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths. None remained except the poorest sort of the people of the land. BBE: And he took away all the people of Jerusalem and all the chiefs and all the men of war, ten thousand prisoners; and all the expert workmen and the metal-workers; only the poorest sort of the people of the land were not taken away. KAV: 그가 또 온 예루살렘과 모든 통치자와 모든 용사 곧 만 명의 포로와 모든 기술자와 대장장이를 사로잡아 가매 그 땅의 백성 중에서 가난한 자 외에는 하나도 남지 아니하였더라.
14 And he took away all the people of Jerusalem and all the chiefs and all the men of war, ten thousand prisoners; and all the expert workmen and the metal-workers; only the poorest sort of the people of the land were not taken away.
14 저가 또 예루살렘의 모든 백성과 모든 방백과 모든 용사 합 일만명과 모든 공장과 대장장이를 사로잡아 가매 빈천한 자 외에는 그 땅에 남은 자가 없었더라
15 And he carried awayJehoiachin to Babylon, and the king'smother, and the king'swives, and his officers, and the mightyㆍ of the land, thosecarried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.[x]MKJV: And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his eunuchs. And the mighty of the land he carried into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon. BBE: He took Jehoiachin a prisoner to Babylon, with his mother and his wives and his unsexed servants and the great men of the land; he took them all as prisoners from Jerusalem to Babylon. KAV: 그가 여호야긴을 바빌론으로 사로잡아 가고 왕의 어머니와 아내들과 또 그의 관리들과 그 땅의 권세 있는 자들도 예루살렘에서 바빌론으로 포로로 사로잡아 가니라.
15 He took Jehoiachin a prisoner to Babylon, with his mother and his wives and his unsexed servants and the great men of the land; he took them all as prisoners from Jerusalem to Babylon.
15 저가 여호야긴을 바벨론으로 사로잡아 가고 왕의 모친과 왕의 아내들과 내시와 나라에 권세 있는 자도 예루살렘에서 바벨론으로 사로잡아 가고
16 And all the men of might, evenseventhousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that werestrongandapt for war, even them the king of Babylonbroughtcaptive to Babylon.[x]MKJV: And the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon all the men of might, seven thousand of them, and a thousand craftsmen and smiths, all who were strong and able for war. BBE: And all the men of war, seven thousand of them, and a thousand expert workmen and metal-workers, all of them strong and able to take up arms, the king of Babylon took away as prisoners into Babylon. KAV: 또 바빌론 왕이 모든 용사 칠천 명과 기술자와 대장장이 천 명을 바빌론으로 사로잡아 가되 곧 건강하여 싸움에 능한 자들을 다 사로잡아 가니라.
16 And all the men of war, seven thousand of them, and a thousand expert workmen and metal-workers, all of them strong and able to take up arms, the king of Babylon took away as prisoners into Babylon.
16 또 용사 칠천과 공장과 대장장이 일천 곧 다 강장하여 싸움에 능한 자들을 바벨론으로 사로잡아 가고
17 And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father's brotherking in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.[x]MKJV: And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah, his father's brother, king in his place. And he changed his name to Zedekiah. BBE: And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah, his father's brother, king in place of Jehoiachin, changing his name to Zedekiah. KAV: ¶ 바빌론 왕이 또 여호야긴을 대신하여 그의 숙부 맛다니야를 왕으로 삼고 그의 이름을 시드기야로 고쳤더라.
17 And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah, his father's brother, king in place of Jehoiachin, changing his name to Zedekiah.
17 바벨론 왕이 또 여호야긴의 아자비 맛다니야로 대신하여 왕을 삼고 그 이름을 고쳐 시드기야라 하였더라
18Zedekiahwastwenty and oneyearsold when he began to reign, and he reignedelevenㆍyears in Jerusalem. And his mother'snamewasHamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.[x]MKJV: Zedekiah [was] twenty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name [was] Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. BBE: Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he was king in Jerusalem for eleven years; his mother's name was Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. 18 Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he was king in Jerusalem for eleven years; his mother's name was Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
18 시드기야가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십 일세라 예루살렘에서 십 일년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 하무달이라 립나 예레먀의 딸이더라
19 And he didthat which wasevil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.[x]MKJV: And he did the evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done. BBE: He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as Jehoiakim had done. KAV: 시드기야가 여호야김이 행한 모든 것에 따라 {주}의 눈앞에서 악한 것을 행하니라.
19 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as Jehoiakim had done.

20 For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiahrebelled against the king of Babylon.[x]MKJV: For it was through the anger of the LORD that Zedekiah happened to rebel against the king of Babylon in Jerusalem and in Judah, until [God] had put them out of His presence. BBE: And because of the wrath of the Lord, this came about in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had sent them all away from before him: and Zedekiah took up arms against the king of Babylon. KAV: 예루살렘과 유다에 대한 {주}의 진노로 말미암아 마침내 그분께서 그들을 자신 앞에서 쫓아내실 때가 이르렀더니 이때에 시드기야가 바빌론 왕을 배반하니라.
20 And because of the wrath of the Lord, this came about in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had sent them all away from before him: and Zedekiah took up arms against the king of Babylon.
20 여호와께서 예루살렘과 유다를 진노하심이 저희를 그 앞에서 쫓아내실 때까지 이르렀더라. 시드기야가 바벨론 왕을 배반하니라
