1 Then the king sent and got together all the responsible men of Judah and of Jerusalem.

2 And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD.[x]MKJV: And the king went up into the house of the LORD. And all the men of Judah and all the people of Jerusalem with him, and the priests and the prophets, and all the people, from the small even to the great. And he read all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD in their ears. BBE: And the king went up to the house of the Lord, with all the men of Judah and all the people of Jerusalem, and the priests and the prophets and all the people, small and great; and they were present at his reading of the book of the law which had come to light in the house of the Lord. KAV: 왕이 {주}의 집에 올라가매 모든 유다 사람과 모든 예루살렘 거주민과 제사장들과 대언자들과 온 백성이 큰 자든 작은 자든 다 왕과 함께하였으며 그가 {주}의 집에서 발견한 언약 책의 모든 말씀을 그들의 귀에 낭독하니라.
2 And the king went up to the house of the Lord, with all the men of Judah and all the people of Jerusalem, and the priests and the prophets and all the people, small and great; and they were present at his reading of the book of the law which had come to light in the house of the Lord.
2 이에 여호와의 전에 올라가매 유다 모든 사람과 예루살렘 거민과 제사장들과 선지자들과 모든 백성이 무론 노소하고 다 왕과 함께한지라 왕이 여호와의 전 안에서 발견한 언약책의 모든 말씀을 읽어 무리의 귀에 들리고
3 And the kingstood by a pillar, and made a covenantbefore the LORD, to walkafter the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all theirheart and all theirsoul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the peoplestood to the covenant.[x]MKJV: And the king stood by a pillar and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes with all [his] heart and all [his soul, to perform the words of this covenant which was written in this Book. And all the people stood to the covenant. KAV: ¶ 또 왕이 기둥 옆에 서서 마음을 다하고 혼을 다하여 {주}를 따라 걸으며 그분의 명령과 증언과 법규를 지키고 이 책에 기록된 이 언약의 말씀들을 수행하기로 {주} 앞에서 언약을 맺으매 온 백성이 그 언약을 고수하니라.
3 And the king took his place by the pillar, and made an agreement before the Lord, to go in the way of the Lord, and keep his orders and his decisions and his rules with all his heart and all his soul, and to keep the words of the agreement recorded in the book; and all the people gave their word to keep the agreement.
3 왕이 대 위에 서서 여호와 앞에서 언약을 세우되 마음을 다하고 성품을 다하여 여호와를 순종하고 그 계명과 법도와 율례를 지켜 이 책에 기록된 이 언약의 말씀을 이루게 하리라 하매 백성이 다 그 언약을 좇기로 하니라
4 And the kingcommandedHilkiah the highpriest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them withoutJerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel.[x]MKJV: And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the doorkeepers, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels which were made for Baal, and for the Asherah, and for all the host of heaven. And he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them to Bethel. 4 Then the king gave orders to Hilkiah, the chief priest, and to the priests of the second order, and to the keepers of the door, to take out of the house of the Lord all the vessels made for Baal and for the Asherah and for all the stars of heaven; and he had them burned outside Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and took the dust of them to Beth-el.
4 왕이 대제사장 힐기야와 모든 버금 제사장들과 문을 지킨 자들에게 명하여 바알과 아세라와 하늘의 일월 성신을 위하여 만든 모든 기명을 여호와의 전에서 내어다가 예루살렘 바깥 기드론 밭에서 불사르고 그 재를 벧엘로 가져가게 하고
5 And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round aboutJerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.[x]MKJV: And he put down the idol-worshiping priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn [incense] in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places around Jerusalem. He also put down those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of the heavens. BBE: And he put an end to the false priests, who had been put in their positions by the kings of Judah to see to the burning of offerings in the high places in the towns of Judah and the outskirts of Jerusalem, and all those who made offerings to Baal and to the sun and the moon and the twelve signs and all the stars of heaven. KAV: 또 전에 유다의 왕들이 임명하여 유다의 도시들에 있는 산당들과 예루살렘 주변의 장소들에서 분향하게 한 우상 숭배 제사장들을 제거하며 또 바알과 해와 달과 행성들과 하늘의 모든 군대에게 분향한 자들을 제거하니라.
5 And he put an end to the false priests, who had been put in their positions by the kings of Judah to see to the burning of offerings in the high places in the towns of Judah and the outskirts of Jerusalem, and all those who made offerings to Baal and to the sun and the moon and the twelve signs and all the stars of heaven.
5 옛적에 유다 왕들이 세워서 유다 모든 고을과 예루살렘 사면 산당에서 분향하며 우상을 섬기게 한 제사장들을 폐하며 또 바알과 해와 달과 열두 궁성과 하늘의 모든 별에게 분향하는 자들을 폐하고
6 And he brought out the grove from the house of the LORD, withoutJerusalem, unto the brookKidron, and burned it at the brookKidron, and stamped itsmall to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the children of the people.[x]MKJV: And he brought out the Asherah from the house of the LORD outside Jerusalem, to the torrent Kidron, and burned it at the torrent Kidron, and stamped [it] to powder, and threw the powder of it on the graves of the sons of the people. BBE: And he took the Asherah from the house of the Lord, outside Jerusalem to the stream Kidron, burning it by the stream and crushing it to dust, and he put the dust on the place where the bodies of the common people were put to rest. KAV: 또 그가 {주}의 집에서 작은 숲을 끄집어내어 예루살렘 밖의 기드론 시내로 가져다가 기드론 시내에서 불태우며 그것을 빻아서 작게 가루를 만들어 그 가루를 백성의 자녀들의 무덤들에 뿌리고
6 And he took the Asherah from the house of the Lord, outside Jerusalem to the stream Kidron, burning it by the stream and crushing it to dust, and he put the dust on the place where the bodies of the common people were put to rest.
6 또 여호와의 전에서 아세라 상을 내어 예루살렘 바깥 기드론 시내로 가져다가 거기서 불사르고 빻아서 가루를 만들어 그 가루를 평민의 묘지에 뿌리고
7 And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the womenwovehangings for the grove.[x]MKJV: And he broke down the houses of the sodomites, which [were] by the house of the LORD, where the women wove coverings for the Asherah. BBE: And he had the houses pulled down of those who were used for sex purposes in the house of the Lord, where women were making robes for the Asherah. KAV: 또 {주}의 집 옆에 있던 남색 하는 자들의 집들을 헐었는데 그곳은 여인들이 작은 숲을 위하여 현수막들을 짜는 장소였더라.
7 And he had the houses pulled down of those who were used for sex purposes in the house of the Lord, where women were making robes for the Asherah.
7 또 여호와의 전 가운데 미동의 집을 헐었으니 그곳은 여인이 아세라를 위하여 휘장을 짜는 처소이었더라
8 And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of the city.[x]MKJV: And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned [incense], from Geba to Beer-sheba. And he broke down the high places of the gates which [were] in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of the city. 8 And he made all the priests from the towns of Judah come into Jerusalem, and he made unclean the high places where the priests had been burning offerings, from Geba to Beer-sheba; and he had the high places of the evil spirits pulled down which were by the doorway of Joshua, the ruler of the town, on the left side of the way into the town.
8 또 유다 각 성읍에서 모든 제사장을 불러오고 또 제사장이 분향하던 산당을 게바에서부터 브엘세바까지 더럽게 하고 또 성문의 산당들을 헐어버렸으니 이 산당들은 부윤 여호수아의 대문 어귀 곧 성문 왼편에 있었더라
9 Nevertheless the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, but they did eat of the unleavened breadamong their brethren.[x]MKJV: But the priests of the high places did not come up to the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, but they ate of the unleavened [bread] among their brothers. BBE: Still the priests of the high places never came up to the altar of the Lord in Jerusalem; but they took their food of unleavened bread among their brothers. KAV: 그럼에도 불구하고 산당들의 제사장들은 예루살렘에 있는 {주}의 제단에 올라가지 아니하고 다만 자기들의 형제들 가운데서 누룩 없는 빵을 먹었더라.
9 Still the priests of the high places never came up to the altar of the Lord in Jerusalem; but they took their food of unleavened bread among their brothers.
9 산당의 제사장들은 예루살렘 여호와의 단에 올라가지 못하고 다만 그 형제 중에서 무교병을 먹을 뿐이었더라
10 And he defiledTopheth, which is in the valley of the childrenㆍ of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.[x]MKJV: And he defiled Topheth, in the valley of the sons of Hinnom, so that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech. BBE: And Topheth, in the valley of the sons of Hinnom, he made unclean, so that no man might make his son or his daughter go through the fire to Molech. KAV: 또 왕이 힌놈의 자손들의 골짜기에 있는 도벳을 더럽게 하여 아무도 몰렉을 위하여 자기 아들이나 딸을 불 가운데로 지나가게 하지 못하게 하니라.
10 And Topheth, in the valley of the sons of Hinnom, he made unclean, so that no man might make his son or his daughter go through the fire to Molech.
10 왕이 또 힌놈의 아들 골짜기의 도벳을 더럽게 하여 사람으로 몰록에게 드리기 위하여 그 자녀를 불로 지나가게 하지 못하게 하고
11 And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entering in of the house of the LORD, by the chamber of Nathanmelech the chamberlain, which was in the suburbs, and burned the chariots of the sun with fire.[x]MKJV: And he took away the horses which the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entering in of the house of the LORD, by the room of Nathan-melech the eunuch, which [was] in the suburbs. And he burned the chariots of the sun with fire. BBE: And he took away the horses which the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the way into the house of the Lord, by the room of Nathan-melech, the unsexed servant, which was in the outer part of the building, and the carriages of the sun he put on fire. KAV: 또 그가 유다의 왕들이 태양을 위하여 드린 말들을 제거하였는데 이 말들은 {주}의 집의 어귀에 곧 그 도시의 주변 지역에 있던 시종장 나단멜렉의 방 곁에 있던 것들이더라. 또 그가 태양 수레를 불태우고
11 And he took away the horses which the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the way into the house of the Lord, by the room of Nathan-melech, the unsexed servant, which was in the outer part of the building, and the carriages of the sun he put on fire.

12 And the altars that were on the top of the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the twocourts of the house of the LORD, did the king beat down, and brake themdown from thence, and cast the dust of them into the brookKidron.[x]MKJV: And the altars which [were] on the top of the upper room of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made, and the two courts of the house of the LORD, the king beat them down, and broke them down from there. And he threw the dust of them into the torrent Kidron. BBE: And the altars on the roof of the high room of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two outer squares of the house of the Lord, were pulled down and crushed to bits, and the dust of them was put into the stream Kidron. KAV: 유다의 왕들이 아하스의 다락방 꼭대기에 세운 제단들과 므낫세가 {주}의 집 두 뜰에 세운 제단들을 왕이 다 헐고 거기서 그것들을 부수어 그것들의 가루를 기드론 시내에 쏟아 버리고
12 And the altars on the roof of the high room of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two outer squares of the house of the Lord, were pulled down and crushed to bits, and the dust of them was put into the stream Kidron.
12 유다 열왕이 아하스의 다락지붕에 세운 단들과 므낫세가 여호와의 전 두 마당에 세운 단들을 왕이 다 헐고 거기서 빻아내려서 그 가루를 기드론 시내에 쏟아버리고
13 And the high places that werebeforeJerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the kingdefile.[x]MKJV: And the high places which [were] before Jerusalem on the right hand of the Mount of Corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the sons of Ammon, the king defiled. BBE: And the high places before Jerusalem, on the south side of the mountain of destruction, which Solomon, king of Israel, had made for Ashtoreth, the disgusting god of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh, the disgusting god of Moab, and for Milcom, the disgusting god of the children of Ammon, the king made unclean. KAV: 또 예루살렘 앞에 있던 산당들 곧 부패의 산 오른쪽에 있던 산당들을 더럽게 하였는데 그것들은 전에 이스라엘 왕 솔로몬이 시돈 사람들의 가증한 신 아스다롯과 모압 족속의 가증한 신 그모스와 암몬 자손의 가증한 신 밀곰을 위하여 세운 것들이더라.
13 And the high places before Jerusalem, on the south side of the mountain of destruction, which Solomon, king of Israel, had made for Ashtoreth, the disgusting god of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh, the disgusting god of Moab, and for Milcom, the disgusting god of the children of Ammon, the king made unclean.
13 또 예루살렘 앞 멸망산 우편에 세운 산당을 더럽게 하였으니 이는 옛적에 이스라엘 왕 솔로몬이 시돈 사람의 가증한 아스다롯과 모압 사람의 가증한 그모스와 암몬 자손의 가증한 밀곰을 위하여 세웠던 것이며
14 And he brake in pieces the images, and cut down the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men.[x]MKJV: And he broke the images in pieces, and cut down the Asherahs, and filled their places with the bones of men. BBE: The stone pillars were broken to bits and the wood pillars cut down, and the places where they had been were made full of the bones of the dead. 15 Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, andstampedit small to powder, and burned the grove.[x]MKJV: And also the altar which [was] at Bethel, [and] the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he broke down, and burned the high place; he stamped it to powder, and burned the Asherah. 15 And the altar at Beth-el, and the high place put up by Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, who made Israel do evil, that altar and that high place were pulled down; and the high place was burned and crushed to dust and the Asherah was burned.
15 이스라엘로 범죄케 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암이 벧엘에 세운 단과 산당을 왕이 헐고 또 그 산당을 불사르고 빻아서 가루를 만들며 또 아세라 목상을 불살랐더라
16 And as Josiahturned himself, he spied the sepulchres that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burnedthem upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the LORD which the man of Godproclaimed, who proclaimed these words.[x]MKJV: And as Josiah turned, he spied the tombs which [were] there in the mountain. And he sent and took the bones out of the tombs, and burned [them] on the altar and defiled it, according to the word of the LORD which the man of God had proclaimed, who spoke these words. BBE: Then Josiah, turning round, saw on the mountain the places of the dead, and he sent and had the bones taken out of their places and burned on the altar, so making it unclean, as the Lord had said by the man of God when Jeroboam was in his place by the altar on that feast-day. And he, turning his eyes to the resting-place of the man of God who had given word of these things, said: KAV: 요시야가 몸을 돌이켜 거기에 그 산에 있던 돌무덤들을 염탐하고 사람을 보내어 그 돌무덤들에서 뼈들을 가져다가 제단 위에서 태워 그 [하나님]의 사람이 선포한 {주}의 말씀대로 그 제단을 더럽게 하니라. 그 사람이 이 말들을 선포하였더라.
16 Then Josiah, turning round, saw on the mountain the places of the dead, and he sent and had the bones taken out of their places and burned on the altar, so making it unclean, as the Lord had said by the man of God when Jeroboam was in his place by the altar on that feast-day. And he, turning his eyes to the resting-place of the man of God who had given word of these things, said:
16 요시야가 몸을 돌이켜 산에 있는 묘실들을 보고 보내어 그 묘실에서 해골을 취하여다가 단 위에 불살라 그 단을 더럽게 하니라 이 일을 하나님의 사람이 전하였더니 그 전한 여호와의 말씀대로 되었더라
17 Then he said, What titleisthat that I see? And the men of the citytold him, It is the sepulchre of the man of God, which came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel.[x]MKJV: And he said, What monument [is] that which I see? And the men of the city told him, [It is] the grave of the man of God who came from Judah and proclaimed these things which you have done against the altar of Bethel. BBE: What is that headstone I see over there? And the men of the town said to him, It is the resting-place of the man of God who came from Judah and gave word of all these things which you have done to the altar of Beth-el. KAV: 그때에 요시야가 이르되, 내가 보는 저것은 무슨 비석이냐? 하매 그 도시의 사람들이 그에게 고하되, 그것은 왕께서 벧엘의 제단을 향해 행하신 이 일들을 선포하려고 유다에서 왔던 [하나님]의 사람의 돌무덤이니이다, 하니
17 What is that headstone I see over there? And the men of the town said to him, It is the resting-place of the man of God who came from Judah and gave word of all these things which you have done to the altar of Beth-el.
17 요시야가 이르되 내게 보이는 저것은 무슨 비석이냐 성읍 사람들이 고하되 왕께서 벧엘의 단에 향하여 행하신 이 일을 전하러 유다에서 왔던 하나님의 사람의 묘실이니이다
18 And he said, Let him alone; let no manmove his bones. So they let his bonesalone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.[x]MKJV: And he said, Let him alone; let no one move his bones. And they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet who came out of Samaria. BBE: So he said, Let him be; let not his bones be moved. So they let his bones be with the bones of the prophet who came from Samaria. KAV: 그가 이르되, 그를 그대로 두고 아무도 그의 뼈를 옮기지 못하게 하라, 하매 이에 그들이 사마리아에서 온 대언자의 뼈와 함께 그의 뼈를 그대로 두었더라.
18 So he said, Let him be; let not his bones be moved. So they let his bones be with the bones of the prophet who came from Samaria.

19 And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the LORD to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel.[x]MKJV: And also all the houses of the high places in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke [the LORD] to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts which he had done in Bethel. BBE: Then Josiah took away all the houses of the high places in the towns of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had put up, moving the Lord to wrath, and he did with them as he had done in Beth-el. 19 Then Josiah took away all the houses of the high places in the towns of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had put up, moving the Lord to wrath, and he did with them as he had done in Beth-el.

20 And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there upon the altars, and burnedmen'sbones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem.[x]MKJV: And he killed all the priests of the high places [which were] there on the altars, and burned men's bones on them, and returned to Jerusalem. 22 Surely there was not holden such a passover from the days of the judges that judgedIsrael, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;[x]MKJV: Surely there was not held such a Passover from the days of the judges who judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah, BBE: Truly, such a Passover had not been kept in all the days of the judges of Israel or of the kings of Israel or the kings of Judah; KAV: 이스라엘을 재판하던 재판관들의 시대부터 이스라엘 왕들의 시대에든지 유다 왕들의 시대에든지 이와 같이 유월절을 지킨 적이 참으로 없었더라.
22 Truly, such a Passover had not been kept in all the days of the judges of Israel or of the kings of Israel or the kings of Judah;
22 사사가 이스라엘을 다스리던 시대부터 이스라엘 열왕의 시대에든지 유다 열왕의 시대에든지 이렇게 유월절을 지킨 일이 없었더니
23 But in the eighteenthㆍyear of kingJosiah, wherein this passover was holden to the LORD in Jerusalem.[x]MKJV: but in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, this Passover was held to the LORD in Jerusalem. BBE: In the eighteenth year of the rule of King Josiah this Passover was kept to the Lord in Jerusalem. KAV: 그러나 요시야 왕의 제십팔년에 예루살렘에서 {주}께 이 유월절을 지켰더라.
23 In the eighteenth year of the rule of King Josiah this Passover was kept to the Lord in Jerusalem.

24 Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priestfound in the house of the LORD.[x]MKJV: And also Josiah put away the mediums, and the soothsayers, and the family gods, and the idols, and all the abominations which were seen in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, so that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book which Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD. 24 And all those who had control of spirits, and the wonder-workers, and the images, and the false gods, and all the disgusting things which were seen in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, Josiah put away, so that he might give effect to the words of the agreement recorded in the book which Hilkiah the priest made discovery of in the house of the Lord.
24 요시야가 또 유다 땅과 예루살렘에 보이는 신접한 자와 박수와 드라빔과 우상과 모든 가증한 것을 다 제하였으니 이는 대제사장 힐기야가 여호와의 전에서 발견한 책에 기록된 율법 말씀을 이루려 함이라
25 And like unto him was there no kingbefore him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.[x]MKJV: And there was no king like him before him, who turned to the LORD with all his heart and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses. And after him none rose up like him. KAV: 요시야와 같이 모세의 모든 율법대로 자기의 마음을 다하고 혼을 다하고 힘을 다하여 {주}께로 돌아선 왕은 그 이전에도 없었고 그 이후에도 그와 같은 자가 일어나지 아니하였더라.
25 Never before had there been a king like him, turning to the Lord with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his power, as the law of Moses says; and after him there was no king like him.
25 요시야와 같이 마음을 다하며 성품을 다하며 힘을 다하여 여호와를 향하여 모세의 모든 율법을 온전히 준행한 임금은 요시야 전에도 없었고 후에도 그와 같은 자가 없었더라
26 Notwithstanding the LORDturned not from the fierceness of his greatwrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal.[x]MKJV: But the Lord did not turn from the heat of His great wrath, with which His anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked Him. BBE: But still the heat of the Lord's wrath was not turned back from Judah, because of all Manasseh had done in moving him to wrath. KAV: ¶ 그럼에도 불구하고 {주}께서 유다를 향해 타오르게 하신바 자신의 그 크고 맹렬한 진노를 돌이키지 아니하셨으니 이는 므낫세가 그분을 자극하여 격노하게 한 모든 일들 때문이더라.
26 But still the heat of the Lord's wrath was not turned back from Judah, because of all Manasseh had done in moving him to wrath.
26 그러나 여호와께서 유다를 향하여 진노하신 그 크게 타오르는 진노를 돌이키지 아니하셨으니 이는 므낫세가 여호와를 격노케한 그 모든 격노를 인함이라
27 And the LORDsaid, I will removeJudah also out of my sight, as I have removedIsrael, and will cast off this cityJerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.[x]MKJV: And the LORD said, I will also remove Judah out of My sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there. BBE: And the Lord said, I will send Judah away from before my face, as I have sent Israel; I will have nothing more to do with this town, which I had made mine, even Jerusalem, and the holy house of which I said, My name will be there. 27 And the Lord said, I will send Judah away from before my face, as I have sent Israel; I will have nothing more to do with this town, which I had made mine, even Jerusalem, and the holy house of which I said, My name will be there.
27 여호와께서 가라사대 내가 이스라엘을 물리친 것 같이 유다도 내 앞에서 물리치며 내가 뺀 이 성 예루살렘과 내 이름을 거기 두리라 한 이 전을 버리리라 하셨더라
28 Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chroniclesof the kings of Judah?[x]MKJV: And the rest of the acts of Josiah, and all that he did, [are] they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah? And King Josiah went against him. And he killed him at Megiddo, when he saw him. BBE: In his days, Pharaoh-necoh, king of Egypt, sent his armies against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates; and King Josiah went out against him; and he put him to death at Megiddo, when he had seen him. KAV: ¶ 요시야 당시에 이집트 왕 파라오느고가 아시리아 왕을 치려고 유프라테스 강으로 올라갔으므로 요시야 왕이 그를 치러 나갔는데 이집트 왕이 요시야를 본 뒤에 므깃도에서 그를 죽이므로
29 In his days, Pharaoh-necoh, king of Egypt, sent his armies against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates; and King Josiah went out against him; and he put him to death at Megiddo, when he had seen him.
29 요시야 당시에 애굽 왕 바로느고가 앗수르 왕을 치고자 하여 유브라데 하수로 올라가므로 요시야왕이 나가서 방비하더니 애굽 왕이 요시야를 므깃도에서 만나본 후에 죽인지라
30 And his servants carried him in a chariotdead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own sepulchre. And the people of the landtookJehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father's stead.[x]MKJV: And his servants made him ride dead in a chariot from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own tomb. 31 Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, ruling in Jerusalem for three months; his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
31 여호아하스가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십 삼세라 예루살렘에서 석달을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 하무달이라 립나 예레미야의 딸이더라
32 And he didthat which wasevil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done.[x]MKJV: And he did the evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done. BBE: He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his fathers had done. KAV: 여호아하스가 자기 조상들이 행한 모든 것에 따라 {주}의 눈앞에서 악한 것을 행하였더라.

33 And Pharaohnechoh put him in bands at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem; and put the land to a tribute of an hundredtalents of silver, and a talent of gold.[x]MKJV: And Pharaoh-necho put him in bonds at Riblah in the land of Hamath, so that he might not reign in Jerusalem. And he put the land to a tax of a hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold. BBE: And Pharaoh-necoh put him in chains at Riblah in the land of Hamath, so that he might not be king in Jerusalem; and took from the land a tax of a hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold. 34 And Pharaohnechoh made Eliakim the son of Josiahking in the room of Josiah his father, and turned his name to Jehoiakim, and tookJehoahazaway: and he came to Egypt, and died there.[x]MKJV: And Pharaoh-necho made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in place of Josiah his father. And he changed his name to Jehoiakim, and took Jehoahaz away. And he came to Egypt and died there. BBE: Then Pharaoh-necoh made Eliakim, the son of Josiah, king in place of Josiah his father, changing his name to Jehoiakim; but Jehoahaz he took away to Egypt, where he was till his death. KAV: 또 파라오느고가 요시야의 아들 엘리아김을 그의 아버지 요시야를 대신하여 왕으로 삼고는 그의 이름을 고쳐 여호야김이라 하고 여호아하스는 잡아갔더니 그가 이집트로 가서 거기서 죽으니라.
34 Then Pharaoh-necoh made Eliakim, the son of Josiah, king in place of Josiah his father, changing his name to Jehoiakim; but Jehoahaz he took away to Egypt, where he was till his death.
34 바로느고가 요시야의 아들 엘리아김으로 그 아비 요시야를 대신하여 왕을 삼고 그 이름을 고쳐 여호야김이라 하고 여호아하스는 애굽으로 잡아갔더니 저가 거기서 죽으니라
35 And Jehoiakimgave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh: he exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, of every one according to his taxation, to giveit unto Pharaohnechoh.[x]MKJV: And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh. But he taxed the land to give the silver according to Pharaoh's command. He exacted the silver and the gold from the people of the land, from each one according to his worth, to give it to Pharaoh-necho. BBE: And Jehoiakim gave the silver and gold to Pharaoh, taxing the land by his orders to get the money; the people of the land had to give silver and gold, everyone as he was taxed, to make the payment to Pharaoh-necoh. KAV: 여호야김이 은과 금을 파라오에게 주니라. 그러나 그가 파라오의 명령대로 돈을 주기 위해 그 땅에 세금을 부과하였으니 곧 그가 그 땅의 백성에게 은과 금을 강요하되 각 사람의 세금에 따라 모든 사람에게 강요하고 그것을 파라오느고에게 주었더라.
35 And Jehoiakim gave the silver and gold to Pharaoh, taxing the land by his orders to get the money; the people of the land had to give silver and gold, everyone as he was taxed, to make the payment to Pharaoh-necoh.
35 여호야김이 은과 금을 바로에게 주니라 저가 바로느고의 명령대로 그에게 그 돈을 주기 위하여 나라에 부과하되 국민 각 사람의 힘대로 액수를 정하고 은금을 늑봉하였더라

And his mother's name [was] Zebudah, the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah. BBE: Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king; he was ruling in Jerusalem for eleven years; his mother's name was Zebidah, the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah. KAV: ¶ 여호야김이 통치하기 시작할 때에 나이가 이십오 세더라. 그가 예루살렘에서 십일 년 동안 통치하니라. 그의 어머니의 이름은 루마의 브다야의 딸 스부다더라.
36 Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king; he was ruling in Jerusalem for eleven years; his mother's name was Zebidah, the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.
36 여호야김이 왕이 될 때에 나이 이십 오세라 예루살렘에서 십 일년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 스비다라 루마 브다야의 딸이더라
37 And he didthat which wasevil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done.[x]MKJV: And he did the evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done.
