1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king; for fifty-five years he was ruling in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Hephzi-bah.

2 And he didthat which wasevil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast outbefore the children of Israel.[x]MKJV: And he did the evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD cast out before the sons of Israel. 2 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, copying the disgusting ways of those nations whom the Lord had sent out before the children of Israel.
2 므낫세가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 쫓아내신 이방 사람의 가증한 일을 본받아서
3 For he built upagain the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared upaltars for Baal, and made a grove, as didAhabking of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.[x]MKJV: For he built up again the high places which his father Hezekiah had destroyed. And he reared up altars for Baal, and made an Asherah, as Ahab king of Israel did. And he worshiped all the host of heaven, and served them. 3 He put up again the high places which had been pulled down by Hezekiah his father; he made altars for Baal, and an Asherah, as Ahab, king of Israel, had done; he was a worshipper and servant of all the stars of heaven.
3 그 부친 히스기야의 헐어 버린 산당을 다시 세우며 이스라엘 왕 아합의 소위를 본받아 바알을 위하여 단을 쌓으며 아세라 목상을 만들며 하늘의 일월 성신을 숭배하여 섬기며

4 And he put up altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.

6 또 그 아들을 불 가운데로 지나게 하며 점치며 사술을 행하며 신접한 자와 박수를 신임하여 여호와 보시기에 악을 많이 행하여 그 진노를 격발하였으며

7 He put the image of Asherah which he had made in the house of which the Lord had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, the town which I have made mine out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my name for ever.

8 Neither will I make the feet of Israelmove any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servantMosescommanded them.[x]MKJV: And I will not again make the feet of Israel wander any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will be careful to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them. BBE: And never again will I send the feet of Israel wandering from the land which I gave to their fathers; if only they will take care to do all my orders, and keep all the law which my servant Moses gave them. 8 And never again will I send the feet of Israel wandering from the land which I gave to their fathers; if only they will take care to do all my orders, and keep all the law which my servant Moses gave them.
8 만일 이스라엘이 나의 모든 명령과 나의 종 모세의 명한 모든 율법을 지켜 행하면 내가 그들의 발로 다시는 그 열조에게 준 땅에서 떠나 유리하지 않게 하리라 하셨으나
9 But they hearkened not: and Manassehseduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the LORDdestroyedbefore the children of Israel.[x]MKJV: But they did not listen. And Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than the nations ever did, whom the LORD destroyed before the sons of Israel. BBE: But they did not give ear; and Manasseh made them do more evil than those nations did, whom the Lord gave up to destruction before the children of Israel. KAV: 그러나 그들이 귀를 기울이지 아니하였고 또 므낫세가 그들을 꾀어 {주}께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 멸하신 민족들보다 악을 더 많이 행하게 하였더라.
9 But they did not give ear; and Manasseh made them do more evil than those nations did, whom the Lord gave up to destruction before the children of Israel.
9 이 백성이 듣지 아니하였고 므낫세의 꾀임을 받고 악을 행한 것이 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 멸하신 열방보다 더욱 심하였더라

11 Because Manassehking of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amoritesdid, which werebefore him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:[x]MKJV: Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations, doing more wickedly than all that the Amorites did, who were before him, and has made Judah also to sin with his idols, BBE: Because Manasseh, king of Judah, has done these disgusting things, doing more evil than all the Amorites before him, and making Judah do evil with his false gods, KAV: 유다 왕 므낫세가 이 가증한 일들을 행하고 또 므낫세 이전에 있었던 아모리 족속이 행한 모든 것보다 더 악하게 행하며 자기의 우상들로 유다 또한 죄를 짓게 하였도다.
11 Because Manasseh, king of Judah, has done these disgusting things, doing more evil than all the Amorites before him, and making Judah do evil with his false gods,
11 유다 왕 므낫세가 이 가증한 일과 악을 행함이 그 전에 있던 아모리 사람의 행위보다 더욱 심하였고 또 그 우상으로 유다를 범죄케 하였도다
12 Therefore thus saith the LORDGod of Israel, Behold, I ambringingsuchevil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.[x]MKJV: therefore, so says the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I [am] bringing evil on Jerusalem and Judah, so that whoever hears of it, both his ears shall tingle. BBE: For this cause, says the Lord, the God of Israel, I will send such evil on Jerusalem and Judah that the ears of all to whom the news comes will be burning. KAV: 그러므로 {주} 이스라엘의 [하나님]이 이같이 말하노라. 보라, 내가 예루살렘과 유다에 이 같은 재앙을 가져올 터인즉 그것을 듣는 자가 누구든지 그의 두 귀가 울리리라.
12 For this cause, says the Lord, the God of Israel, I will send such evil on Jerusalem and Judah that the ears of all to whom the news comes will be burning.
12 그러므로 이스라엘 하나님 여호와가 말하노니 내가 이제 예루살렘과 유다에 재앙을 내리리니 듣는 자마다 두 귀가 울리리라
13 And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipeJerusalem as a manwipeth a dish, wipingit, and turningit upside down.[x]MKJV: And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the measuring line of the house of Ahab. And I will wipe Jerusalem as a dish is wiped, wiping and turning [it] upside down. BBE: And over Jerusalem will be stretched the line of Samaria and the weight of Ahab; Jerusalem will be washed clean as a plate is washed, and turned over on its face. KAV: 내가 사마리아의 줄과 아합의 집의 추를 예루살렘 위에 팽팽히 잡아당기고 또 사람이 그릇을 씻어서 뒤집어엎음같이 내가 예루살렘을 씻어 엎으리라.
13 And over Jerusalem will be stretched the line of Samaria and the weight of Ahab; Jerusalem will be washed clean as a plate is washed, and turned over on its face.
13 내가 사마리아를 잰 줄과 아합의 집을 다림보던 추로 예루살렘에 베풀고 또 사람이 그릇을 씻어 엎음 같이 예루살렘을 씻어 버릴찌라
14 And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;[x]MKJV: And I will forsake the remnant of My inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies. 14 And I will put away from me the rest of my heritage, and give them up into the hands of their haters, who will take their property and their goods for themselves;

15 Because they have done evil in my eyes, moving me to wrath, from the day when their fathers came out of Egypt till this day.
15 이는 애굽에서 나온 그 열조 때부터 오늘까지 나의 보기에 악을 행하여 나의 노를 격발하였음이니라 하셨더라
16 Moreover Manassehshedinnocentbloodverymuch, till he had filledJerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doingthat which wasevil in the sight of the LORD.[x]MKJV: And also Manasseh shed very much innocent blood, until he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another, besides his sin with which he made Judah to sin, in doing the evil in the sight of the LORD. BBE: More than this, Manasseh took the lives of upright men, till Jerusalem from one end to the other was full of blood; in addition to his sin in making Judah do evil in the eyes of the Lord. 16 More than this, Manasseh took the lives of upright men, till Jerusalem from one end to the other was full of blood; in addition to his sin in making Judah do evil in the eyes of the Lord.
16 므낫세가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 유다로 범하게한 그 죄 외에 또 무죄한 자의 피를 심히 많이 흘려 예루살렘 이 가에서 저 가까지 가득하게 하였더라
17 Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written in the book of the chroniclesof the kings of Judah?[x]MKJV: Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin which he sinned, [are] they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah? BBE: Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all he did, and his sins, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah? KAV: ¶ 이제 므낫세의 남은 행적과 그가 행한 모든 일과 그가 지은 그의 죄들은 유다 왕들의 연대기 책에 기록되어 있지 아니하냐?

And his son Amon reigned in his place. 19 Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, ruling in Jerusalem for two years; his mother's name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.

And his son Josiah reigned in his place. BBE: He was put in his last resting-place in the garden of Uzza, and Josiah his son became king in his place. KAV: 아몬이 웃사의 동산에 있는 자기의 돌무덤에 묻히니 그의 아들 요시야가 그를 대신하여 통치하니라.
