In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.1 In those days Hezekiah was ill and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him, and said to him, The Lord says, Put your house in order, for your death is near.1 그 때에 히스기야가 병들어 죽게 되매 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야가 저에게 나아와서 이르되 여호와의 말씀이 너는 집을 처치하라 네가 죽고 살지 못하리라 하셨나이다
Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying,2 Then, turning his face to the wall, he made his prayer to the Lord, saying,2 히스기야가 낯을 벽으로 향하고 여호와께 기도하여 가로되
I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.3 O Lord, keep in mind how I have been true to you with all my heart, and have done what is good in your eyes. And Hezekiah gave way to bitter weeping.3 여호와여 구하오니 내가 진실과 전심으로 주 앞에 행하며 주의 보시기에 선하게 행한 것을 기억하옵소서 하고 심히 통곡하더라
And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court , that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,4 Now before Isaiah had gone out of the middle of the town, the word of the Lord came to him, saying,4 이사야가 성읍 가운데까지도 이르기 전에 여호와의 말씀이 저에게 임하여 가라사대
Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.5 Go back and say to Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, The Lord, the God of David your father, says, Your prayer has come to my ears, and I have seen your weeping; see, I will make you well: on the third day you will go up to the house of the Lord.5 너는 돌아가서 내 백성의 주권자 히스기야에게 이르기를 왕의 조상 다윗의 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 내가 네 기도를 들었고 네 눈물을 보았노라 내가 너를 낫게 하리니 네가 삼일만에 여호와의 전에 올라가겠고
And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.6 I will give you fifteen more years of life; and I will keep you and this town safe from the hands of the king of Assyria; I will keep this town safe, for my honour, and for the honour of my servant David.6 내가 네 날을 십 오년을 더할것이며 내가 너와 이 성을 앗수르 왕의 손에서 구원하고 내가 나를 위하고 또 내 종 다윗을 위하므로 이 성을 보호하리라 하셨다 하라 하셨더라
And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.7 Then Isaiah said, Take a cake of figs. So they took it and put it on his wound, and he got better.7 이사야가 가로되 무화과 반죽을 가져오라 하매 무리가 가져다가 그 종처에 놓으니 나으니라
And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?8 And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, What is to be the sign that the Lord will make me well, and that I will go up to the house of the Lord on the third day?8 히스기야가 이사야에게 이르되 여호와께서 나를 낫게 하시고 삼일만에 여호와의 전에 올라가게 하실 무슨 징조가 있나이까
And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?9 And Isaiah said, This is the sign the Lord will give you, that he will do what he has said; will the shade go forward ten degrees or back?9 이사야가 가로되 여호와의 하신 말씀을 응하게 하실 일에 대하여 여호와께로서 왕에게 한 징조가 임하리이다 해 그림자가 십도를 나아갈 것이니이까 혹 십도를 물러갈 것이니이까
And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.10 And Hezekiah said in answer, It is a simple thing for the shade to go forward; but let it go back ten degrees.10 히스기야가 대답하되 그림자가 십도를 나아가기는 쉬우니 그리할 것이 아니라 십도가 물러갈 것이니이다
And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.11 Then Isaiah the prophet made prayer to the Lord, and he made the shade go back ten degrees from its position on the steps of Ahaz.11 선지자 이사야가 여호와께 간구하매 아하스의 일영표 위에 나아갔던 해 그림자로 십도를 물러가게 하셨더라
At that time Berodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah: for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.12 At that time, Merodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters with an offering to Hezekiah, because he had news that Hezekiah had been ill.12 그 때에 발라단의 아들 바벨론 왕 부로닥발라단이 히스기야가 병 들었다 함을 듣고 편지와 예물을 저에게 보낸지라
And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah showed them not.13 And Hezekiah was glad at their coming and let them see all his store of wealth, the silver and the gold and the spices and the oil of great price, and the house of his arms, and everything there was in his stores; there was nothing in all his house or his kingdom which Hezekiah did not let them see.13 히스기야가 사자의 말을 듣고 자기 보물고의 금은과 향품과 보배로운 기름과 그 군기고와 내탕고의 모든 것을 다 사자에게 보였는데 무릇 왕궁과 그 나라 안에 있는 것을 저에게 보이지 아니한 것이 없으니라
Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.14 Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah and said to him, What did these men say and where did they come from? And Hezekiah said, They came from a far country, even from Babylon.14 선지자 이사야가 히스기야왕에게 나아와서 이르되 이 사람들이 무슨 말을 하였으며 어디서부터 왕에게 왔나이까 히스기야가 가로되 먼 지방 바벨론에서 왔나이다
And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not showed them.15 And he said, What have they seen in your house? And Hezekiah said in answer, They saw everything in my house: there is nothing among my stores which I did not let them see.15 이사야가 가로되 저희가 왕궁에서 무엇을 보았나이까 히스기야가 대답하되 내 궁에 있는 것을 저희가 다 보았나니 나의 내탕고에서 하나도 보이지 아니한 것이 없나이다
And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD.16 And Isaiah said to Hezekiah, Give ear to the word of the Lord.16 이사야가 히스기야에게 이르되 여호와의 말씀을 들으소서
Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.17 Truly, days are coming when everything in your house, and whatever your fathers have put in store till this day, will be taken away to Babylon: all will be gone, says the Lord.17 여호와의 말씀이 날이 이르리니 무릇 왕궁의 모든 것과 왕의 열조가 오늘까지 쌓아 두었던 것을 바벨론으로 옮긴바 되고 하나도 남지 아니할 것이요
And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.18 And your sons, the offspring of your body, they will take away to be unsexed servants in the house of the king of Babylon.18 또 왕의 몸에서 날 아들 중에서 사로잡혀 바벨론 왕궁의 환관이 되리라 하셨나이다
Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?19 Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, Good is the word of the Lord which you have said. Then he said, ...if in my time there is peace and righteousness?19 히스기야가 이사야에게 이르되 당신의 전한바 여호와의 말씀이 선하니이다 하고 또 가로되 만일 나의 사는 날에 태평과 진실이 있을찐대 어찌 선하지 아니하리요 하니라
And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?20 Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his power, and how he made the pool and the stream, to take water into the town, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah?20 히스기야의 남은 사적과 그 모든 권력과 못과 수도를 만들어 물을 성중으로 인도하여 들인 일은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
And Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.21 And Hezekiah went to rest with his fathers; and Manasseh his son became king in his place.21 히스기야가 그 열조와 함께 자고 그 아들 므낫세가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
