And he did not do right in the sight of the LORD his God, like David his father. BBE: Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king; he was ruling for sixteen years in Jerusalem. He did not do what was right in the eyes of the Lord his God, as David his father did. KAV: 아하스가 통치하기 시작할 때에 나이가 이십 세더라. 그가 예루살렘에서 십육 년 동안 통치하였으나 자기 조상 다윗과 같지 아니하여 {주} 자신의 [하나님]의 눈앞에서 올바른 것을 행하지 아니하고
2 Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king; he was ruling for sixteen years in Jerusalem. He did not do what was right in the eyes of the Lord his God, as David his father did.
2 아하스가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십세라 예루살렘에서 십 륙년을 치리하였으나 그 조상 다윗과 같지 아니하여 그 하나님 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행치 아니하고
3 But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.[x]MKJV: But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel. Yes, and he made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD cast out from before the sons of Israel. BBE: But he went in the ways of the kings of Israel, and even made his son go through the fire, copying the disgusting ways of the nations whom the Lord had sent out of the land before the children of Israel. 3 But he went in the ways of the kings of Israel, and even made his son go through the fire, copying the disgusting ways of the nations whom the Lord had sent out of the land before the children of Israel.
3 이스라엘 열왕의 길로 행하며 또 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 쫓아내신 이방 사람의 가증한 일을 본받아 자기 아들을 불 가운데로 지나가게 하며
4 And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every greentree.[x]MKJV: And he sacrificed and burned incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree. BBE: And he made offerings, burning them in the high places and on the hills and under every green tree. KAV: 또 여러 산당과 작은 산 위와 모든 푸른 나무 밑에서 희생물을 드리며 분향하였더라.

And they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome [him]. BBE: Then Rezin, king of Aram, and Pekah, son of Remaliah, king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem to make war; and they made an attack on Ahaz, shutting him in, but were not able to overcome him. KAV: ¶ 그때에 시리아 왕 르신과 이스라엘 왕 르말랴의 아들 베가가 싸우려고 예루살렘에 올라와서 아하스를 에워쌌으나 그를 이기지 못하니라.
5 Then Rezin, king of Aram, and Pekah, son of Remaliah, king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem to make war; and they made an attack on Ahaz, shutting him in, but were not able to overcome him.
5 이 때에 아람 왕 르신과 이스라엘 왕 르말랴의 아들 베가가 예루살렘에 올라와서 싸우려 하여 아하스를 에워쌌으나 이기지 못하니라
6 At that timeRezinking of SyriarecoveredElath to Syriaㆍ, and drave the Jews from Elath: and the Syrianscame to Elath, and dwelt there unto this day.[x]MKJV: At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drove the Jews from Elath. And the Syrians came to Elath and lived there until this day. BBE: At that time the king of Edom got Elath back for Edom, and sent the Jews out of Elath; and the Edomites came back to Elath where they are living to this day. KAV: 그때에 시리아 왕 르신이 엘랏을 시리아에 회복시키고 유대인들을 엘랏에서 쫓아내었으므로 시리아 사람들이 엘랏에 이르러 거기에 거하며 이 날까지 이르렀더라.
6 At that time the king of Edom got Elath back for Edom, and sent the Jews out of Elath; and the Edomites came back to Elath where they are living to this day.
6 당시에 아람 왕 르신이 엘랏을 회복하여 아람에 돌리고 유다 사람을 엘랏에서 쫓아내었고 아람 사람이 엘랏에 이르러 거하여 오늘날까지 이르렀더라
7 So Ahazsentmessengers to Tiglathpileserking of Assyria, saying, I am thy servant and thy son: come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, which rise up against me.[x]MKJV: And Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying, I [am] your servant and your son. Come up and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, who rise up against me. BBE: So Ahaz sent representatives to Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria, saying, I am your servant and your son; come to my help against the kings of Aram and Israel who have taken up arms against me. KAV: 이에 아하스가 아시리아 왕 디글랏빌레셀에게 사자들을 보내어 이르되, 나는 왕의 신하요, 왕의 아들이니이다. 시리아 왕과 이스라엘 왕이 일어나 나를 치니 올라와서 나를 그들의 손에서 구원하소서, 하고
7 So Ahaz sent representatives to Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria, saying, I am your servant and your son; come to my help against the kings of Aram and Israel who have taken up arms against me.
7 아하스가 앗수르 왕 디글랏 빌레셀에게 사자를 보내어 이르되 나는 왕의 신복이요 왕의 아들이라 이제 아람 왕과 이스라엘 왕이 나를 치니 청컨대 올라와서 나를 그 손에서 구원하소서 하고
8 And Ahaztook the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king'shouse, and sentit for a present to the king of Assyria.[x]MKJV: And Ahaz took the silver and gold which was found in the house of the LORD and in the treasures of the king's house, and sent a present to the king of Assyria. BBE: And Ahaz took the silver and gold which were in the house of the Lord and in the king's store-house, and sent them as an offering to the king of Assyria. KAV: {주}의 집과 왕의 집의 보고에서 찾은 은과 금을 취하여 아시리아 왕에게 예물로 보내매
8 And Ahaz took the silver and gold which were in the house of the Lord and in the king's store-house, and sent them as an offering to the king of Assyria.
8 여호와의 전과 왕궁 곳간에 있는 은금을 취하여 앗수르 왕에게 예물로 보내었더니
9 And the king of Assyriahearkened unto him: for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried the people of it captive to Kir, and slewRezin.[x]MKJV: And the king of Assyria listened to him, for the king of Assyria went up against Damascus and took it. And he carried it away captive to Kir, and killed Rezin. BBE: And the king of Assyria, in answer to his request, went up against Damascus and took it, and took its people away as prisoners to Kir, and put Rezin to death. KAV: 아시리아 왕이 그의 말에 귀를 기울였더라. 아시리아 왕이 올라와 다마스커스를 쳐서 점령하고 그곳의 백성을 포로로 사로잡아 기르로 데려가고 또 르신을 죽였더라.
9 And the king of Assyria, in answer to his request, went up against Damascus and took it, and took its people away as prisoners to Kir, and put Rezin to death.
9 앗수르 왕이 그 청을 듣고 곧 올라와서 다메섹을 쳐서 취하여 그 백성을 사로잡아 길로 옮기고 또 르신을 죽였더라
10 And kingAhazwent to Damascus to meetTiglathpileserking of Assyria, and saw an altar that was at Damascus: and kingAhazsent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof.[x]MKJV: And King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria [at] Damascus. And [he] saw an altar at Damascus. And King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the pattern of the altar, and the form of it, according to all its work. BBE: Then King Ahaz went to Damascus for a meeting with Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria; and there he saw the altar which was at Damascus; and King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest a copy of the altar, giving the design of it and all the details of its structure. KAV: ¶ 아하스 왕이 아시리아 왕 디글랏빌레셀을 만나려고 다마스커스에 갔다가 다마스커스에 있던 제단을 보고 그 제단의 모양과 양식을 그것을 만드는 모든 기술과 함께 제사장 우리야에게 보내었더니
10 Then King Ahaz went to Damascus for a meeting with Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria; and there he saw the altar which was at Damascus; and King Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest a copy of the altar, giving the design of it and all the details of its structure.
10 아하스왕이 앗수르 왕 디글랏 빌레셀을 만나러 다메섹에 갔다가 거기 있는 단을 보고 드디어 그 구조와 제도의 식양을 그려 제사장 우리야에게 보내었더니
11 And Urijah the priestbuilt an altar according to all that kingAhaz had sent from Damascus: so Urijah the priestmadeit against kingAhazcame from Damascus.[x]MKJV: And Urijah the priest built an altar according to all that King Ahaz had sent from Damascus. So Urijah the priest did until King Ahaz came in from Damascus. BBE: And from the copy King Ahaz sent from Damascus, Urijah made an altar and had it ready by the time King Ahaz came back from Damascus. KAV: 아하스 왕이 다마스커스에서 돌아오는 것에 맞추어 제사장 우리야가 아하스 왕이 다마스커스에서 보낸 모든 것에 따라 제단을 만들었으므로
11 And from the copy King Ahaz sent from Damascus, Urijah made an altar and had it ready by the time King Ahaz came back from Damascus.
11 아하스왕이 다메섹에서 돌아오기 전에 제사장 우리야가 아하스왕이 다메섹에서 보낸 모든 것대로 단을 만든지라
12 And when the king was come from Damascus, the kingsaw the altar: and the kingapproached to the altar, and offered thereon.[x]MKJV: And the king came in from Damascus, and the king saw the altar. And the king approached to the altar and offered on it. BBE: And when the king came from Damascus, he saw the altar; and he went up on it and made an offering on it. KAV: 왕이 다마스커스에서 돌아와 제단을 보고 제단에 나아가 그 위에 헌물을 드리되
12 And when the king came from Damascus, he saw the altar; and he went up on it and made an offering on it.

13 And he burnt his burnt offering and his meat offering, and poured his drink offering, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings, upon the altar.[x]MKJV: And he offered his burnt offering and his food offering, and poured his drink offering, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings, on the altar. BBE: He made his burned offering and his meal offering and his drink offering there, draining out the blood of his peace-offerings on the altar. KAV: 자기의 번제 헌물과 음식 헌물을 불태우고 음료 헌물을 부으며 또 화평 헌물의 피를 제단 위에 뿌리고

14 And he brought also the brazenaltar, which wasbefore the LORD, from the forefront of the house, from between the altar and the house of the LORD, and put it on the northside of the altar.[x]MKJV: And he also brought the bronze altar which [was] before the LORD, from the forefront of the house, from between the altar and the house of the LORD, and put it on the north side of the altar. BBE: And the brass altar, which was before the Lord, he took from the front of the house, from between his altar and the house of the Lord, and put it on the north side of his altar. KAV: 또 {주} 앞에 있던 놋 제단을 옮기되 그 집의 맨 앞에서 곧 그 제단과 {주}의 집 사이에서 옮겨 그 제단의 북쪽 편에 두니라.
14 And the brass altar, which was before the Lord, he took from the front of the house, from between his altar and the house of the Lord, and put it on the north side of his altar.

15 And kingAhazcommandedUrijah the priest, saying, Upon the greataltarburn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brazenaltar shall be for me to inquireby.[x]MKJV: And King Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, On the great altar burn the morning offering and the evening food offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice and his food offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their food offerings, and their drink offerings. And sprinkle all the blood of the burnt offerings on it, and all the blood of the sacrifice. And the bronze altar shall be for me to inquire by. BBE: And King Ahaz gave orders to Urijah the priest, saying, Make the morning burned offering and the evening meal offering and the king's burned offering and meal offering, with the burned offerings of all the people and their meal offerings and drink offerings, on the great altar, and put on it all the blood of the burned offerings and of the beasts which are offered; but the brass altar will be for my use to get directions from the Lord. KAV: 아하스 왕이 제사장 우리야에게 명령하여 이르되, 아침의 번제 헌물과 저녁의 음식 헌물과 왕의 번제 헌물과 그의 음식 헌물과 이 땅 온 백성의 태우는 희생물과 그들의 음식 헌물과 음료 헌물을 이 큰 제단 위에서 불태우고 또 번제 헌물의 피와 희생물의 피를 다 그 위에서 뿌리고 오직 놋 제단은 내가 여쭙는 일에 쓰게 하라, 하매
15 And King Ahaz gave orders to Urijah the priest, saying, Make the morning burned offering and the evening meal offering and the king's burned offering and meal offering, with the burned offerings of all the people and their meal offerings and drink offerings, on the great altar, and put on it all the blood of the burned offerings and of the beasts which are offered; but the brass altar will be for my use to get directions from the Lord.
15 아하스왕이 제사장 우리야에게 명하여 가로되 아침 번제와 저녁 소제와 왕의 번제와 그 소제와 모든 국민의 번제와 그 소제와 전제를 다 이 큰 단 위에 불사르고 또 번제물의 피와 다른 제물의 피를 다 그 위에 뿌리고 오직 놋단은 나의 물을 일에 쓰게 하라 하매
16 Thus didUrijah the priest, according to all that kingAhazcommanded.[x]MKJV: And Urijah the priest did according to all that King Ahaz commanded. BBE: So Urijah the priest did everything as the king said KAV: 제사장 우리야가 이와 같이 아하스 왕이 명령한 대로 다 행하였더라.

17 And kingAhaz cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the brazenoxen that were under it, and put it upon a pavement of stones.[x]MKJV: And King Ahaz cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from them. And he took down the sea from off the bronze oxen under it, and put it on a pavement of stones. BBE: And King Ahaz took off the sides of the wheeled bases, and took down the great water-vessel from off the brass oxen which were under it and put it on a floor of stone. KAV: ¶ 아하스 왕이 물두멍 받침대의 테두리를 떼어 내고 물두멍을 그 테두리에서 떼어 옮기며 또 바다를 그것 밑에 있던 놋 소들 위에서 내려다가 돌로 포장한 곳 위에 두고
17 And King Ahaz took off the sides of the wheeled bases, and took down the great water-vessel from off the brass oxen which were under it and put it on a floor of stone.
17 아하스왕이 물두멍 받침의 옆판을 떼어내고 물두멍을 그 자리에서 옮기고 또 놋바다를 놋소 위에서 내려다가 돌판 위에 두며
18 And the covertㆍ for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king'sentrywithout, turned he from the house of the LORDfor the king of Assyria.[x]MKJV: And the covered way for the sabbath which they had built in the house, and the king's entry outside, he turned from the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria. BBE: ***the house of the Lord, because of the king of Assyria. KAV: 또 안식일을 위해 그들이 그 집에 건축한 숨는 장소와 밖에 있던 왕의 출입구를 아시리아 왕으로 인하여 {주}의 집으로부터 돌려 놓으니라.

19 Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the book of the chroniclesof the kings of Judah?[x]MKJV: And the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, [are] they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah? BBE: Now the rest of the things which Ahaz did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah? KAV: ¶ 이제 아하스가 행한 행적의 남은 부분은 유다 왕들의 연대기 책에 기록되어 있지 아니하냐?
19 Now the rest of the things which Ahaz did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah?
19 아하스의 그 남은 사적은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
20 And Ahazslept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Hezekiah his sonreigned in his stead.[x]MKJV: And Ahaz slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And his son Hezekiah reigned in his place. BBE: And Ahaz went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth with his fathers in the town of David; and Hezekiah his son became king in his place. KAV: 아하스가 자기 조상들과 함께 잠들어 다윗의 도시에 자기 조상들과 함께 묻히니 그의 아들 히스기야가 그를 대신하여 통치하니라.
20 And Ahaz went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth with his fathers in the town of David; and Hezekiah his son became king in his place.
20 아하스가 그 열조와 함께 자매 다윗성에 그 열조와 함께 장사되고 그 아들 히스기야가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
