KJV BBE KRV
In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah.1 In the second year of Joash, son of Joahaz, king of Israel, Amaziah, the son of Joash, became king of Judah.1 이스라엘 왕 여호아하스의 아들 요아스 이년에 유다 왕 요아스의 아들 아마샤가 왕이 되니
He was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.2 He was twenty-five years old when he became king; and he was ruling in Jerusalem for twenty-nine years; his mother's name was Jehoaddin of Jerusalem.2 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십 오세라 예루살렘에서 이십 구년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 여호앗단이라 예루살렘 사람이더라
And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did.3 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, though not like David his father; he did as Joash his father had done.3 아마샤가 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으나 그 조상 다윗과는 같지 아니하였으며 그 부친 요아스의 행한대로 다 행하였어도
Howbeit the high places were not taken away: as yet the people did sacrifice and burnt incense on the high places.4 But still the high places were not taken away; the people went on making offerings and burning them in the high places.4 산당을 제하지 아니하였으므로 백성이 오히려 산당에서 제사를 드리며 분향하였더라
And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was confirmed in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father.5 Now when he became strong in the kingdom, straight away he put to death those servants who had taken the life of the king his father;5 나라가 그 손에 굳게 서매 그 부왕을 죽인 신복들을 죽였으나
But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.6 But he did not put their children to death; for the orders of the Lord recorded in the book of the law of Moses say, The fathers are not to be put to death for the children, or the children for their fathers; but a man is to be put to death for the sin which he himself has done.6 왕을 죽인 자의 자녀들은 죽이지 아니하였으니 이는 모세의 율법책에 기록된대로 함이라 곧 여호와께서 명하여 이르시기를 자녀로 인하여 아비를 죽이지 말 것이요 아비로 인하여 자녀를 죽이지 말 것이라 오직 사람마다 자기의 죄로 인하여 죽을 것이니라 하셨더라
He slew of Edom in the valley of salt ten thousand, and took Selah by war, and called the name of it Joktheel unto this day.7 He put to the sword twelve thousand men of Edom in the Valley of Salt, and took Sela in war, naming it Joktheel, as it is to this day.7 아마샤가 염곡에서 에돔 사람 일만을 죽이고 또 셀라를 쳐서 취하고 이름을 욕드엘이라 하였더니 오늘까지 그러하니라
Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look one another in the face.8 Then Amaziah sent representatives to Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz, son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us have a meeting face to face.8 아마샤가 예후의 손자 여호아하스의 아들 이스라엘 왕 요아스에게 사자를 보내어 이르되 오라 우리가 서로 대면하자 한지라
And Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.9 And Jehoash, king of Israel, sent to Amaziah, king of Judah, saying, The thorn-tree in Lebanon sent to the cedar in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son for a wife: and a beast from the woodland in Lebanon went by, crushing the thorn under his feet.9 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 유다 왕 아마샤에게 보내어 이르되 레바논 가시나무가 레바논 백향목에게 보내어 이르기를 네 딸을 내 아들에게 주어 아내를 삼게 하라 하였더니 레바논 들짐승이 지나가다가 그 가시나무를 짓밟았느니라
Thou hast indeed smitten Edom, and thine heart hath lifted thee up: glory of this, and tarry at home: for why shouldest thou meddle to thy hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?10 It is true that you have overcome Edom and your heart is uplifted; let that glory be enough for you, and keep in your country; why do you make causes of trouble, putting yourself, and Judah with you, in danger of downfall?10 네가 에돔을 쳐서 파하였으므로 마음이 교만하였으니 스스로 영광을 삼아 궁에나 거하라 어찌하여 화를 자취하여 너와 유다가 함께 망하고자 하느냐 하나
But Amaziah would not hear. Therefore Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah.11 But Amaziah gave no attention. So Jehoash, king of Israel, went up, and he and Amaziah, king of Judah, came face to face at Beth-shemesh, which is in Judah.11 아마샤가 듣지 아니하므로 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 올라와서 유다 왕 아마샤로 더불어 유다의 벧세메스에서 대면하였더니
And Judah was put to the worse before Israel; and they fled every man to their tents.12 And Judah was overcome before Israel, so that they went in flight, every man to his tent.12 유다가 이스라엘 앞에서 패하여 각기 장막으로 도망한지라
And Jehoash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Bethshemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubits.13 And Jehoash, king of Israel, made Amaziah, king of Judah, the son of Jehoash, son of Ahaziah, prisoner at Beth-shemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and had the wall of Jerusalem pulled down from the doorway of Ephraim to the door in the angle, four hundred cubits.13 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 벧세메스에서 아하시야의 손자 요아스의 아들 유다 왕 아마샤를 사로잡고 예루살렘에 이르러 예루살렘 성벽을 에브라임 문에서부터 성 모퉁이 문까지 사백 규빗을 헐고
And he took all the gold and silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and hostages , and returned to Samaria.14 And he took all the gold and silver and all the vessels which were in the house of the Lord and in the store-house of the king, together with those whose lives would be the price of broken faith, and went back to Samaria.14 또 여호와의 전과 왕궁 곳간에 있는 금은과 모든 기명을 취하고 또 사람을 볼모로 잡아가지고 사마리아로 돌아갔더라
Now the rest of the acts of Jehoash which he did, and his might, and how he fought with Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?15 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoash, and his power, and how he went to war with Amaziah, king of Judah, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel?15 요아스의 남은 사적과 그 권력과 또 유다 왕 아마샤와 서로 싸운 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
And Jehoash slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son reigned in his stead.16 And Jehoash went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son became king in his place.16 요아스가 그 열조와 함께 자매 이스라엘 왕들과 사마리아에 함께 장사되고 그 아들 여로보암이 대신하여 왕이 되니라
And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.17 Amaziah, the son of Joash, king of Judah, went on living for fifteen years after the death of Jehoash, son of Jehoahaz, king of Israel.17 이스라엘 왕 여호아하스의 아들 요아스가 죽은 후에도 유다 왕 요아스의 아들 아마샤가 십 오년을 생존하였더라
And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?18 And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah?18 아마샤의 남은 행적은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
Now they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem: and he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him to Lachish, and slew him there.19 Now they made a secret design against him in Jerusalem; and he went in flight to Lachish, but they sent after him to Lachish and put him to death there.19 예루살렘에서 무리가 저를 모반한고로 저가 라기스로 도망하였더니 모반한 무리가 사람을 라기스로 따라 보내어 저를 거기서 죽이게 하고
And they brought him on horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.20 And they took his body on horseback and put it into the earth with his fathers in Jerusalem, the town of David.20 그 시체를 말에 실어다가 예루살렘에서 그 열조와 함께 다윗성에 장사하니라
And all the people of Judah took Azariah, which was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amaziah.21 Then all the people of Judah took Azariah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in place of his father Amaziah.21 유다 온 백성이 아사랴로 그 부친 아마샤를 대신하여 왕을 삼으니 때에 나이 십 륙세라
He built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.22 He was the builder of Elath, which he got back for Judah after the death of the king.22 아마샤가 그 열조와 함께 잔 후에 아사랴가 엘랏을 건축하여 유다에 돌렸더라
In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel began to reign in Samaria, and reigned forty and one years.23 In the fifteenth year of the rule of Amaziah, son of Joash, king of Judah, Jeroboam, the son of Joash, king of Israel, became king in Samaria, ruling for forty-one years.23 유다 왕 요아스의 아들 아마샤 십 오년에 이스라엘 왕 요아스의 아들 여로보암이 사마리아에서 왕이 되어 사십 일년을 위에 있으며
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.24 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, not turning away from the sin which Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, did and made Israel do.24 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘로 범죄케한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 모든 죄에서 떠나지 아니하였더라
He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher.25 He got back the old limits of Israel from the way into Hamath to the sea of the Arabah, as the Lord had said by his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet of Gath-hepher.25 이스라엘 하나님 여호와께서 그 종 가드헤벨 아밋대의 아들 선지자 요나로 하신 말씀과 같이 여로보암이 이스라엘 지경을 회복하되 하맛 어귀에서부터 아라바 바다까지 하였으니
For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel.26 For the Lord saw how bitter was the trouble of Israel, and that everyone was cut off, he who was shut up and he who went free, and that Israel had no helper.26 이는 여호와께서 이스라엘의 고난이 심하여 매인 자도 없고 놓인 자도 없고 이스라엘을 도울 자도 없음을 보셨고
And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.27 And the Lord had not said that the name of Israel was to be taken away from the earth; but he gave them a saviour in Jeroboam, the son of Joash.27 여호와께서 또 이스라엘의 이름을 도말하여 천하에 없이 하겠다고도 아니하셨으므로 요아스의 아들 여로보암의 손으로 구원하심이었더라
Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, which belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?28 Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all he did, and his power, and how he went to war with Damascus, causing the wrath of the Lord to be turned away from Israel, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel?28 여로보암의 남은 사적과 모든 행한 일과 그 권력으로 싸운 일과 다메섹을 회복한 일과 이전에 유다에 속하였던 하맛을 이스라엘에 돌린 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
And Jeroboam slept with his fathers, even with the kings of Israel; and Zachariah his son reigned in his stead.29 And Jeroboam went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth with the kings of Israel; and Zechariah his son became king in his place.29 여로보암이 그 열조 이스라엘 왕들과 함께 자고 그 아들 스가랴가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
