4 And Jehoashsaid to the priests, All the money of the dedicated things that is brought into the house of the LORD, even the money of every one that passeththe account, the money that every man is set at, and all the money that cometh into any man'sheart to bring into the house of the LORD,[x]MKJV: And Joash said to the priests, All the silver from things dedicated to God, which is brought into the house of the LORD, the silver from each man the silver of his valuation, all the silver that comes into any man's heart to bring to the house of the LORD, BBE: And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the holy things, which comes into the house of the Lord, (the amount fixed for every man's payment,) and all the money given by any man freely from the impulse of his heart, KAV: ¶ 여호아스가 제사장들에게 이르되, {주}의 집으로 가져와 봉헌한 물건들 중에서 모든 돈 곧 계산이 끝난 모든 사람의 돈이나 모든 사람에게 정해 준 돈이나 {주}의 집에 드리려고 어떤 사람이 마음에 정한 모든 돈을
4 And Jehoash said to the priests, All the money of the holy things, which comes into the house of the Lord, (the amount fixed for every man's payment,) and all the money given by any man freely from the impulse of his heart,
4 요아스가 제사장들에게 이르되 무릇 여호와의 전에 거룩하게 하여 드리는 은 곧 사람의 통용하는 은이나 각 사람의 몸값으로 드리는 은이나 자원하여 여호와의 전에 드리는 모든 은을
5 Let the prieststakeit to them, every man of his acquaintance: and let them repair the breaches of the house, wheresoever any breach shall be found.[x]MKJV: let the priests take [it] to themselves, each man from those he knows. And let them repair the breaks in the house, in all [places] where any break shall be found. BBE: Let the priests take, every man from his friends and neighbours, to make good what is damaged in the house, wherever it is to be seen. BBE: But in the twenty-third year of King Jehoash, the priests had not made good the damaged parts of the house. KAV: 여호아스 왕의 제이십삼년이 될 때까지 제사장들이 그 집의 무너진 곳을 보수하지 아니하므로
6 But in the twenty-third year of King Jehoash, the priests had not made good the damaged parts of the house.
6 요아스왕 이십 삼년에 이르도록 제사장들이 오히려 전의 퇴락한 데를 수리하지 아니하였는지라
7 Then kingJehoashcalled for Jehoiada the priest, and the otherpriests, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore receive no moremoney of your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house.[x]MKJV: Then king Joash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the priests, and said to them, Why are you not repairing the breaks of the house? And now take no silver from those you know, but deliver it for the breaks of the house. BBE: Then King Jehoash sent for Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said to them, Why have you not made good what is damaged in the house? now take no more money from your neighbours, but give it for the building up of the house. KAV: 여호아스 왕이 제사장 여호야다와 다른 제사장들을 불러 그들에게 이르되, 너희가 어찌하여 그 집의 무너진 곳을 보수하지 아니하였느냐? 그러므로 이제 너희가 아는 자들에게서 더 이상 돈을 받지 말고 그 집의 무너진 곳을 보수하도록 그것을 넘겨주라, 하니
7 Then King Jehoash sent for Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said to them, Why have you not made good what is damaged in the house? now take no more money from your neighbours, but give it for the building up of the house.
7 요아스왕이 대제사장 여호야다와 제사장들을 불러서 이르되 너희가 어찌하여 전의 퇴락한 데를 수리하지 아니하였느냐 이제부터는 너희 아는 사람에게서 은을 받지 말고 저희로 전 퇴락한 데를 위하여 드리게 하라
8 And the priestsconsented to receivenomoremoney of the people, neither to repair the breaches of the house.[x]MKJV: And the priests agreed to take no silver from the people, nor to repair the breaks of the house. BBE: So the priests made an agreement to take no more money from the people, and not to make good what was damaged in the house. KAV: 제사장들이 다시는 백성에게서 돈을 받지도 아니하고 그 집의 무너진 곳을 보수하지도 아니하기로 동의하니라.

9 But Jehoiada the priesttookachest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as onecometh into the house of the LORD: and the priests that kept the doorput therein all the moneythat wasbrought into the house of the LORD.[x]MKJV: But Jehoiada the priest took a chest and bored a hole in its lid. KAV: 그러나 제사장 여호야다가 궤 하나를 취하여 그것의 뚜껑에 구멍을 뚫어 사람이 {주}의 집에 이를 때에 오른쪽에 있는 제단 옆에 두매 문을 지키는 제사장들이 사람들이 {주}의 집에 가져온 모든 돈을 그 안에 넣었더라.
9 But Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and making a hole in the cover of it, put it by the altar, on the right side when one comes into the house of the Lord; and the priests who kept the door put in it regularly all the money which was taken into the house of the Lord.
9 제사장 여호야다가 한 궤를 취하여 그 뚜껑에 구멍을 뚫어 여호와의 전문 어귀 우편 곧 단 옆에 두매 무릇 여호와의 전에 가져 오는 은을 다 문을 지키는 제사장들이 그 궤에 넣더라
10 And it was so, when they saw that there wasmuchmoney in the chest, that the king'sscribe and the highpriest came up, and they put up in bags, and told the money that was found in the house of the LORD.[x]MKJV: And it happened when they saw that much silver [was] in the chest, the king's scribe and the high priest came up. And they bound and counted the silver that was found [in] the house of the LORD. BBE: And when they saw that there was much money in the chest, the king's scribe and the high priest came and put it in bags, noting the amount of all the money there was in the house of the Lord. KAV: 이에 그들이 그 궤 안에 돈이 많은 것을 보면 왕의 서기관과 대제사장이 올라와서 {주}의 집에 있던 돈을 자루에 넣고 세서
10 And when they saw that there was much money in the chest, the king's scribe and the high priest came and put it in bags, noting the amount of all the money there was in the house of the Lord.
10 이에 그 궤 가운데 은이 많은 것을 보면 왕의 서기와 대제사장이 올라와서 여호와의 전에 있는대로 그 은을 계수하여 봉하고
11 And they gave the money, being told, into the hands of them that did the work, that had the oversight of the house of the LORD: and they laid it out to the carpentersandbuilders, that wrought upon the house of the LORD,[x]MKJV: And they gave the silver which was counted into the hands of those who did the work, those overseeing the house of the LORD. And they laid it out to the carpenters and builders who worked on the house of the LORD, BBE: And the money which was measured out they gave regularly to those who were responsible for overseeing the work, and these gave it in payment to the woodworkers and the builders who were working on the house of the Lord, KAV: 그 센 돈을 그 일을 하는 자들 곧 {주}의 집을 감독하는 자들의 손에 넘겨주었고 그들은 {주}의 집에서 일하는 목수와 건축자들에게 그것을 주며
11 And the money which was measured out they gave regularly to those who were responsible for overseeing the work, and these gave it in payment to the woodworkers and the builders who were working on the house of the Lord,
11 그 달아본 은을 일하는 자 곧 여호와의 전을 맡은 자의 손에 붙이면 저희는 또 여호와의 전을 수리하는 목수와 건축하는 자들에게 주고
12 And to masons, and hewers of stone, and to buytimber and hewedstone to repair the breaches of the house of the LORD, and for all that was laid out for the house to repairit.[x]MKJV: and to masons and cutters of stone, and to buy timber and cut stone to repair the breaks of the house of the LORD, and for all that went forth for the house, to repair [it]. BBE: And to the wall-builders and the stone-cutters, and to get wood and cut stone for building up the broken parts of the house of the Lord, and for everything needed to put the house in good order. KAV: 또 석공과 돌 다듬는 자들에게 주고 또 {주}의 집의 무너진 곳을 보수할 재목과 다듬은 돌을 사게 하며 또 그 집을 위해 그 집을 보수하는 데 필요한 모든 것을 위하여 쓰게 하였더라.
12 And to the wall-builders and the stone-cutters, and to get wood and cut stone for building up the broken parts of the house of the Lord, and for everything needed to put the house in good order.
12 또 미장이와 석수에게 주고 또 여호와의 전 퇴락한 데를 수리할 재목과 다듬은 돌을 사게 하며 그 전을 수리할 모든 물건을 위하여 쓰게 하였으되
13 Howbeit there were not made for the house of the LORDbowls of silver, snuffers, basins, trumpets, any vessels of gold, or vessels of silver, of the moneythat wasbrought into the house of the LORD:[x]MKJV: Only, there were no bowls of silver, snuffers, basins, trumpets, or any vessels of gold or vessels of silver, made for the house of the LORD from the silver which [was] brought into the house of the LORD. BBE: But the money was not used for making silver cups or scissors or basins or wind-instruments or any vessels of gold or silver for the house of the Lord; KAV: 그러나 그들이 사람들이 {주}의 집에 가져온 돈으로 그 집의 은 대접들이나 심지 자르는 기구들이나 대야들이나 나팔들이나 어떤 금 그릇이나 은그릇들을 만들지 아니하고
13 But the money was not used for making silver cups or scissors or basins or wind-instruments or any vessels of gold or silver for the house of the Lord;
13 여호와의 전에 드린 그 은으로 그 전의 은대접이나 불집게나 주발이나 나팔이나 아무 금그릇이나 은그릇을 만들지 아니하고
14 But they gave that to the workmenㆍ, and repaired therewith the house of the LORD.[x]MKJV: For they gave it to the workmen, and repaired the house of the LORD with it. BBE: But it was all given to the workmen who were building up the house. KAV: 오직 그 돈을 일하는 자들에게 주어 그 돈으로 {주}의 집을 보수하였으며

15 Moreover they reckoned not with the men, into whose hand they delivered the money to be bestowed on workmen: for they dealtfaithfully.[x]MKJV: And they did not make an accounting with the men into whose hands they gave the silver to be given to the workmen. For they dealt faithfully. BBE: And they did not get any statement of accounts from the men to whom the money was given for the workmen, for they made use of it with good faith. KAV: 또한 그 돈을 손에 넘겨받아 일하는 자들에게 나누어 주는 사람들과 계산하지 아니하였으니 이는 그들이 신실하게 나누어 주었기 때문이더라.
15 And they did not get any statement of accounts from the men to whom the money was given for the workmen, for they made use of it with good faith.
15 또 그 은을 받아 일군에게 주는 사람들과 회계하지 아니하였으니 이는 성실히 일을 하였음이라
16 The trespassmoney and sinmoney was not brought into the house of the LORD: it was the priests.[x]MKJV: The trespass silver and sin silver was not brought into the house of the LORD. It was the priests'. BBE: The money of the offerings for error and the sin-offerings was not taken into the house of the Lord; it was the priests'. KAV: 그들이 범법으로 인한 돈과 죄로 인한 돈은 {주}의 집으로 가져가지 아니하였으며 그것은 제사장의 것이 되었더라.

And Hazael set his face to go up to Jerusalem. BBE: Then Hazael, king of Aram, went up against Gath and took it; and his purpose was to go up to Jerusalem. KAV: ¶ 그때에 시리아 왕 하사엘이 올라와서 가드와 싸워 그곳을 점령하고 예루살렘을 향해 얼굴을 들고 올라오려 하였으므로
17 Then Hazael, king of Aram, went up against Gath and took it; and his purpose was to go up to Jerusalem.

18 And Jehoashking of Judahtook all the hallowed things that Jehoshaphat, and Jehoram, and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own hallowed things, and all the goldthat wasfound in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and in the king'shouse, and sentit to Hazaelking of Syria: and he went away from Jerusalem.[x]MKJV: And Joash king of Judah took all the holy things which Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own holy things, and all the gold found in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and in the king's house, and sent [it] to Hazael king of Syria. KAV: 유다 왕 여호아스가 전에 자기 조상 유다 왕 여호사밧과 여호람과 아하시야가 봉헌한 모든 거룩한 것과 자기의 거룩한 것과 또 {주}의 집의 보고와 왕의 집에서 찾은 모든 금을 취하여 시리아 왕 하사엘에게 보내었더니 하사엘이 예루살렘에서 떠나갔더라.
18 Then Jehoash, king of Judah, took all the holy things which Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah his fathers, the kings of Judah, had given to the Lord, together with the things he himself had given, and all the gold in the Temple store and in the king's house, and sent it to Hazael, king of Aram; and he went away from Jerusalem.
18 유다 왕 요아스가 그 열조 유다 왕 여호사밧과 여호람과 아하시야가 구별하여 드린 모든 성물과 자기가 구별하여 드린 성물과 여호와의 전 곳간과 왕궁에 있는 금을 다 취하여 아람 왕 하사엘에게 보내었더니 하사엘이 예루살렘에서 떠나갔더라

BBE: Now the rest of the acts of Joash, and all he did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel? KAV: ¶ 요아스의 남은 행적과 그가 행한 모든 일은 유다 왕들의 연대기 책에 기록되어 있지 아니하냐?

20 And his servantsarose, and made a conspiracy, and slewJoash in the house of Milloㆍ, which goeth down to Silla.[x]MKJV: And his servants arose and made a plot. And they killed Joash in the house of Millo, which goes down [to] Silla. BBE: And his servants made a secret design and put Joash to death at the house of Millo on the way down to Silla. KAV: 요아스의 신하들이 일어나 음모를 꾸며 실라로 내려가는 곳에 있는 밀로의 집에서 그를 죽였으니

21 For Jozachar the son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, smote him, and he died; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Amaziah his sonreigned in his stead.[x]MKJV: For Jozachar the son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, struck him, and he died. And they buried him with his fathers in the city of David. And Amaziah his son reigned in his place. BBE: And Jozacar, the son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad, the son of Shomer, his servants, came to him and put him to death; and they put him into the earth with his fathers in the town of David; and Amaziah his son became king in his place. KAV: 그의 신하인 시므앗의 아들 요사갈과 소멜의 아들 예호사밧이 그를 쳐서 죽였더라. 그들이 그를 그의 조상들과 함께 다윗의 도시에 묻으니 그의 아들 아마샤가 그를 대신하여 통치하니라.
21 And Jozacar, the son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad, the son of Shomer, his servants, came to him and put him to death; and they put him into the earth with his fathers in the town of David; and Amaziah his son became king in his place.
21 저를 쳐서 죽인 신복은 시므앗의 아들 요사갈과 소멜의 아들 여호사바드이었더라 저는 다윗성에 그 열조와 함께 장사되고 그 아들 아마샤가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
