1 And Ahab had seventysons in Samaria. And Jehuwroteletters, and sent to Samaria, unto the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to them that brought upAhab'schildren,saying,[x]MKJV: And Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote letters and sent to Samaria to the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to the supporters of Ahab, saying, BBE: Now there were in Samaria seventy of Ahab's sons. And Jehu sent letters to Samaria, to the rulers of the town, and to the responsible men, and to those who had the care of the sons of Ahab, saying, KAV: 아합의 아들 칠십 명이 사마리아에 있더라. 예후가 편지를 써서 사마리아로 보내되 예스르엘의 치리자들 곧 장로들과 아합의 아이들을 양육한 자들에게 보내니라. 일렀으되,
1 Now there were in Samaria seventy of Ahab's sons. And Jehu sent letters to Samaria, to the rulers of the town, and to the responsible men, and to those who had the care of the sons of Ahab, saying,
1 아합의 아들 칠십인이 사마리아에 있는지라 예후가 편지들을 써서 사마리아에 보내어 이스르엘 방백 곧 장로들과 아합의 여러 아들을 교육하는 자들에게 전하니 일렀으되
2 Now as soon as this lettercometh to you, seeing your master'ssonsare with you, and there are with you chariots and horses, a fencedcity also, and armour;[x]MKJV: And now as soon as this letter comes to you, since your master's sons [are] with you, and chariots and horses are] with you, also a fortified city and armor, BBE: Straight away, when you get this letter, seeing that your master's sons are with you, and that you have carriages and horses and a walled town and arms; KAV: 너희 주인의 아들들이 너희와 함께 있고 또 병거와 말과 성벽을 두른 도시와 갑옷이 너희에게 있으니 이제 이 편지가 너희에게 이르거든 곧바로
2 Straight away, when you get this letter, seeing that your master's sons are with you, and that you have carriages and horses and a walled town and arms;
2 너희 주의 아들들이 너희와 함께 있고 또 병거와 말과 견고한 성과 병기가 너희에게 있으니 이 편지가 너희에게 이르거든
3 Look even out the best and meetest of your master'ssons, and sethim on his father'sthrone, and fight for your master'shouse.[x]MKJV: even look for the best and fittest of your master's sons, and set [him] on his father's throne, and fight for your master's house. BBE: Take the best and most upright of your master's sons, and make him king in his father's place, and put up a fight for your master's family. KAV: 너희 주인의 아들들 중에서 가장 훌륭하고 적당한 자를 찾아 그의 아버지의 왕좌에 앉히고 너희 주인의 집을 위하여 싸우라, 하였더라.
3 Take the best and most upright of your master's sons, and make him king in his father's place, and put up a fight for your master's family.
3 너희 주의 아들들 중에서 가장 어질고 정직한 자를 택하여 그 아비의 위에 두고 너희 주의 집을 위하여 싸우라 하였더라
4 But they were exceedinglyㆍafraid, and said, Behold, twokingsstood not before him: how then shall we stand?[x]MKJV: And they were exceedingly afraid and said, Behold, two kings did not stand before him; how then shall we stand? BBE: But they were full of fear, and said, The two kings have gone down before him: how may we keep our place? KAV: 그러나 그들이 심히 두려워하여 이르되, 보라, 두 왕이 그 앞에서 서지 못하였거든 우리가 어찌 설 수 있으리요? 하고
4 But they were full of fear, and said, The two kings have gone down before him: how may we keep our place?
4 저희가 심히 두려워하여 가로되 두 왕이 저를 당치 못하였거든 우리가 어찌 당하리요 하고
5 And he that was over the house, and he that was over the city, the elders also, and the bringers upof the children,sent to Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make anyking: do thou that which isgood in thine eyes.[x]MKJV: And he who [was] over the house, and he over the city, the elders also, and the guardians, sent to Jehu saying, We [are] your servants and will do all that you shall say to us; we will not make any king. Do what is good in your eyes. BBE: So the controller of the king's house, with the ruler of the town, and the responsible men, and those who had the care of Ahab's sons, sent to Jehu, saying, We are your servants and will do all your orders; we will not make any man king; do whatever seems best to you. KAV: 그 집을 다스리는 자와 도시를 다스리는 자와 장로들과 그 아이들을 양육하는 자들이 예후에게 사람을 보내어 이르되, 우리는 당신의 종이오매 당신이 우리에게 명하는 모든 것을 우리가 행하고 아무도 왕으로 세우지 아니하리니 당신은 당신의 눈에 좋은 것을 행하소서, 하니라.
5 So the controller of the king's house, with the ruler of the town, and the responsible men, and those who had the care of Ahab's sons, sent to Jehu, saying, We are your servants and will do all your orders; we will not make any man king; do whatever seems best to you.
5 궁내 대신과 부윤과 장로들과 왕자를 교육하는 자들이 예후에게 말을 전하여 가로되 우리는 당신의 종이라 무릇 명하는 것을 우리가 행하고 아무 사람이든지 왕으로 세우지 아니하리니 당신의 소견에 좋은대로 행하라 한지라
6 Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If ye be mine, and if ye will hearken unto my voice, take ye the heads of the men your master'ssons, and come to me to Jezreel by to morrow this time. Now the king'ssons, beingseventypersons, were with the great men of the city, which brought them up.[x]MKJV: And he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If you [are] mine, and will listen to my voice, take the heads of the men, your master's sons, and come to me to Jezreel by this time tomorrow. And the king's sons, seventy persons, [were] with the great men of the city who brought them up. BBE: Then he sent them a second letter, saying, If you are on my side, and if you will do my orders, come to me at Jezreel by this time tomorrow, with the heads of your master's sons. Now the king's seventy sons were with the great men of the town, who had the care of them. KAV: 그때에 예후가 두 번째 그들에게 편지를 쓰니라. 일렀으되, 만일 너희가 내 편이 되어 내 목소리에 귀를 기울이려거든 너희 주인의 아들들 곧 그 사람들의 머리를 취하고 내일 이맘때에 예스르엘에 이르러 내게 나아오라, 하였더라. 이제 왕의 아들들 칠십 명이 자기들을 양육한 그 도시의 위대한 자들과 함께 있을 때에
6 Then he sent them a second letter, saying, If you are on my side, and if you will do my orders, come to me at Jezreel by this time tomorrow, with the heads of your master's sons. Now the king's seventy sons were with the great men of the town, who had the care of them.
6 예후가 다시 저희에게 편지를 부치니 일렀으되 만일 너희가 내 편이 되어 내 말을 들으려거든 너희 주의 아들된 사람들의 머리를 취하고 내일 이맘때에 이스르엘에 이르러 내게 나아오라 하였더라 왕자 칠십인이 성중에서 그 교육하는 존귀한 자들과 함께 있는 중에
7 And it came to pass, when the lettercame to them, that they took the king'ssons, and slewseventypersons, and put their heads in baskets, and sent him them to Jezreel.[x]MKJV: And it happened when the letter came to them, they took the king's sons and killed them, seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets and sent to him in Jezreel. BBE: And when the letter came to them, they took the king's sons and put them to death, all the seventy, and put their heads in baskets and sent them to him at Jezreel. KAV: 편지가 그들에게 이르매 그들이 왕의 아들들을 데려다가 칠십 명을 죽이고 그들의 머리를 바구니에 담아 예스르엘의 예후에게로 보내니라.
7 And when the letter came to them, they took the king's sons and put them to death, all the seventy, and put their heads in baskets and sent them to him at Jezreel.
7 편지가 이르매 저희가 왕자 칠십인을 잡아 몰수히 죽이고 그 머리를 광주리에 담아 이스르엘 예후에게로 보내니라
8 And there came a messenger, and told him, saying, They have brought the heads of the king'ssons. And he said, Lay ye them in twoheaps at the entering in of the gate until the morning.[x]MKJV: And a messenger came and told him, saying, They have brought the heads of the king's sons. And he said, Lay them in two heaps at the entering in of the gate until the morning. BBE: And a man came and said to him, They have come with the heads of the king's sons. And he said, Put them down in two masses at the doorway of the town till the morning. KAV: ¶ 사자가 와서 예후에게 고하여 이르되, 그들이 왕의 아들들의 머리를 가지고 왔나이다, 하니 그가 이르되, 너희는 아침까지 그것들을 성문 어귀에 두 무더기로 쌓아 두라, 하고
8 And a man came and said to him, They have come with the heads of the king's sons. And he said, Put them down in two masses at the doorway of the town till the morning.
8 사자가 와서 예후에게 고하여 가로되 무리가 왕자들의 머리를 가지고 왔나이다 가로되 두 무더기로 쌓아 내일 아침까지 문 어귀에 두라 하고
9 And it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, Ye berighteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?[x]MKJV: And it happened in the morning, he went out and stood, and said to all the people, You [are] righteous. Behold, I plotted against my master and killed him. But who killed all these? BBE: And in the morning he went out and, stopping, said to all the people there, You are upright men: it is true that I made designs against my master, and put him to death; but who is responsible for the death of all these? KAV: 아침에 그가 나아가 서서 온 백성에게 이르되, 너희는 의로울지어다. 보라, 나는 내 주인을 대적하여 음모를 꾸미고 그를 죽였거니와 이 모든 사람들을 죽인 자는 누구냐?
9 And in the morning he went out and, stopping, said to all the people there, You are upright men: it is true that I made designs against my master, and put him to death; but who is responsible for the death of all these?
9 이튿날 아침에 저가 나가 서서 뭇 백성에게 이르되 너희는 의롭도다 나는 내 주를 배반하여 죽였거니와 이 여러 사람을 죽인 자는 누구냐
10Knownow that there shall fall unto the earth nothing of the word of the LORD, which the LORDspake concerning the house of Ahab: for the LORD hath donethat which he spakeby his servantElijah.[x]MKJV: Now know that there shall fall to the earth nothing of the word of the LORD, which the LORD spoke concerning the house of Ahab. For the LORD has done that which He spoke by His servant Elijah. BBE: You may be certain that nothing which the Lord has said about the family of Ahab will be without effect; for the Lord has done what he said by his servant Elijah. KAV: 그런즉 이제 알라. 곧 {주}께서 아합의 집에 관하여 말씀하신 {주}의 말씀은 하나도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하리라. {주}께서 자신의 종 엘리야를 통하여 말씀하신 것을 행하셨도다, 하니라.
10 You may be certain that nothing which the Lord has said about the family of Ahab will be without effect; for the Lord has done what he said by his servant Elijah.
10 그런즉 너희는 알라 곧 여호와께서 아합의 집에 대하여 하신 말씀은 하나도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하리라 여호와께서 그 종 엘리야로 하신 말씀을 이제 이루셨도다 하니라
11 So Jehuslew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.[x]MKJV: And Jehu killed all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his familiar friends, and his priests, until he left him none remaining. BBE: So Jehu put to death all the rest of the seed of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his relations and his near friends and his priests, till there were no more of them. KAV: 이와 같이 예후가 예스르엘에서 아합의 집에 속한 자들 가운데 남아 있던 자를 다 죽이고 그에게 속한 자가 하나도 남지 않을 때까지 그의 위대한 자들과 가까운 친척과 제사장들을 죽였더라.
11 So Jehu put to death all the rest of the seed of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his relations and his near friends and his priests, till there were no more of them.
11 예후가 무릇 아합의 집에 속한 이스르엘에 남아 있는 자를 다 죽이고 또 그 존귀한 자와 가까운 친구와 제사장들을 죽이되 저에게 속한 자를 하나도 남기지 아니하였더라
12 And he arose and departed, and came to Samaria. And as he was at the shearinghouseㆍ in the way,[x]MKJV: And he arose and departed, and came to Samaria. He [was] at the shepherds' shearing-house in the way, BBE: Then he got up and came to Samaria. And he was at the meeting-place of the keepers of sheep, by the way, KAV: ¶ 예후가 일어나 떠나서 사마리아로 갔더라. 그가 길에서 양털 깎는 집에 있을 때에
12 Then he got up and came to Samaria. And he was at the meeting-place of the keepers of sheep, by the way,
12 예후가 일어나서 사마리아로 가더니 노중에 목자가 양털 깎는 집에 이르러
13Jehumet with the brethren of Ahaziahking of Judah, and said, Who are ye? And they answered, We are the brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the king and the children of the queen.[x]MKJV: And Jehu met with the brothers of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, Who [are] you? And they answered, The brothers of Ahaziah. And we are going down to greet the king's sons and the queen's sons. BBE: When he came across the brothers of Ahaziah, king of Judah, and said, Who are you? And they said, We are the brothers of Ahaziah, king of Judah; we are going down to see the children of the king and of the queen. KAV: 유다 왕 아하시야의 형제들을 만나 이르되, 너희는 누구냐? 하매 그들이 대답하되, 우리는 아하시야의 형제라. 우리가 왕의 자녀들과 왕비의 자녀들에게 문안하러 내려가노라, 하니
13 When he came across the brothers of Ahaziah, king of Judah, and said, Who are you? And they said, We are the brothers of Ahaziah, king of Judah; we are going down to see the children of the king and of the queen.
13 유다 왕 아하시야의 형제들을 만나 묻되 너희는 누구냐 대답하되 우리는 아하시야의 형제라 이제 왕자들과 태후의 아들들에게 문안하러 내려가노라
14 And he said, Take them alive. And they took them alive, and slew them at the pit of the shearing house, eventwo and fortymen; neither left he any of them.[x]MKJV: And he said, Take them alive! And they took them alive and killed them at the pit of the shearing-house, forty-two men. And he left not a man of them. BBE: And he said, Take them living. So they took them living, and put them to death in the water-hole of Beth-eked; of the forty-two men he put every one to death; KAV: 그가 이르되, 그들을 산 채로 사로잡으라, 하매 그들이 그들을 산 채로 사로잡아 양털 깎는 집 구덩이에서 죽이니 곧 사십이 명이더라. 그가 그들 가운데 하나도 남기지 아니하였더라.
14 And he said, Take them living. So they took them living, and put them to death in the water-hole of Beth-eked; of the forty-two men he put every one to death;
14 가로되 사로잡으라 하매 곧 사로잡아 목자가 양털 깎는 집 웅덩이 곁에서 죽이니 사십 이인이 하나도 남지 아니하였더라
15 And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechabcoming to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thine heartright, as my heartis with thy heart? And Jehonadabanswered, It is. If it be, giveme thine hand. And he gavehim his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.[x]MKJV: And he left there and found Jehonadab the son of Rechab [coming] to meet him. And [he] greeted him and said to him, [Is] your heart right, as my heart [is] with your heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it is, give your hand. And he gave his hand. And he took him up to him into the chariot. BBE: And when he had gone away from there, he came across Jehonadab, the son of Rechab: and he said good-day to him, and said to him, Is your heart true to mine, as mine is to yours? And Jehonadab in answer said, It is; and Jehu said, If it is, give me your hand. And he gave him his hand, and he made him come up into his carriage. KAV: ¶ 예후가 거기서 떠나가다가 자기를 맞으러 오는 레갑의 아들 여호나답을 우연히 만나매 예후가 그에게 안부를 묻고 이르되, 내 마음이 네 마음을 향하여 올바른 것 같이 네 마음도 그러하냐? 하니 여호나답이 대답하되, 그러하니이다, 하매 그가 이르되, 그러면 네 손을 내게 달라, 하니 그가 손을 주매 예후가 그를 병거에 끌어올리며
15 And when he had gone away from there, he came across Jehonadab, the son of Rechab: and he said good-day to him, and said to him, Is your heart true to mine, as mine is to yours? And Jehonadab in answer said, It is; and Jehu said, If it is, give me your hand. And he gave him his hand, and he made him come up into his carriage.
15 예후가 거기서 떠나가다가 레갑의 아들 여호나답이 맞으러 오는 것을 만난지라 그 안부를 묻고 가로되 내 마음이 네 마음을 향하여 진실함과 같이 네 마음도 진실하냐 여호나답이 대답하되 그러하니이다 가로되 그러면 나와 손을 잡자 손을 잡으니 예후가 끌어 병거에 올리며
16 And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD. So they made him ride in his chariot.[x]MKJV: And [he] said, Come with me and see my zeal for Jehovah. And they made him ride in his chariot. BBE: And he said, Come with me and see how I am on fire for the Lord's cause. So he made him go with him in his carriage. KAV: 이르되, 나와 함께 가서 {주}를 위한 내 열심을 보라, 하거늘 이에 그들이 그를 그의 병거에 태우니라.
16 And he said, Come with me and see how I am on fire for the Lord's cause. So he made him go with him in his carriage.
16 가로되 나와 함께 가서 여호와를 위한 나의 열심을 보라 하고 이에 자기 병거에 태우고
17 And when he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spake to Elijah.[x]MKJV: And he came to Samaria, and killed all that remained to Ahab in Samaria, until he had destroyed him, according to the saying of Jehovah which he spoke to Elijah. BBE: And when he came to Samaria, he put to death all those of Ahab's family who were still in Samaria, till there were no more of them, as the Lord had said to Elijah. KAV: 그가 사마리아에 이르러 {주}께서 엘리야에게 하신 말씀과 같이 사마리아에서 아합에게 남아 있던 모든 자를 죽여 마침내 그를 멸하였더라.
17 And when he came to Samaria, he put to death all those of Ahab's family who were still in Samaria, till there were no more of them, as the Lord had said to Elijah.
17 사마리아에 이르러 거기 남아 있는바 아합에게 속한 자를 죽여 진멸하였으니 여호와께서 엘리야에게 이르신 말씀과 같이 되었더라
18 And Jehugathered all the peopletogether, and said unto them, AhabservedBaal a little; butJehu shall serve him much.[x]MKJV: And Jehu gathered all the people together, and said to them, Ahab served Baal a little, [but] Jehu shall serve him much. BBE: Then Jehu got all the people together and said to them, Ahab was Baal's servant in a small way, but Jehu will be his servant on a great scale. KAV: ¶ 예후가 온 백성을 함께 모으고 그들에게 말하되, 아합은 바알을 조금 섬겼으나 예후는 많이 섬기리라.
18 Then Jehu got all the people together and said to them, Ahab was Baal's servant in a small way, but Jehu will be his servant on a great scale.

19 Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a greatsacrificeto do to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehudidit in subtlety, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.[x]MKJV: And now call to me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants and all his priests. Let no one be lacking. For I have a great sacrifice to Baal. Whoever shall be lacking, he shall not live. But Jehu was acting with cunning, to the end that he might destroy the worshipers of Baal. BBE: Now send for all the prophets of Baal and all his servants and all his priests, to come to me; let no one keep away: for I have a great offering to make to Baal; anyone who is not present, will be put to death. This Jehu did with deceit, his purpose being the destruction of the servants of Baal. KAV: 내가 큰 희생물을 바알에게 드리려 하노니 그러므로 이제 바알의 모든 대언자들과 그의 모든 종들과 모든 제사장들을 불러 내게로 나오게 하라. 누구든지 빠지는 자는 살지 못하리라, 하니라. 그러나 예후가 바알 숭배자들을 멸하려는 목적으로 그 일을 교묘히 행하였더라.
19 Now send for all the prophets of Baal and all his servants and all his priests, to come to me; let no one keep away: for I have a great offering to make to Baal; anyone who is not present, will be put to death. This Jehu did with deceit, his purpose being the destruction of the servants of Baal.
19 그러므로 내가 이제 큰 제사를 바알에게 드리고자 하노니 바알의 모든 선지자와 모든 섬기는 자와 모든 제사장들을 한 사람도 빠치지 말고 불러 내게로 나오게 하라 무릇 오지 아니하는 자는 살리지 아니하리라 하니 이는 예후가 바알 섬기는 자를 멸하려 하여 궤계를 씀이라
20 And Jehusaid, Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal. And they proclaimedit.[x]MKJV: And Jehu said, Call a solemn feast for Baal. And they called [it]. BBE: And Jehu said, Let there be a special holy meeting for the worship of Baal. So a public statement was made. KAV: 예후가 이르기를, 바알을 위한 엄숙한 집회를 선포하라, 하니 그들이 그것을 선포하였더라.
20 And Jehu said, Let there be a special holy meeting for the worship of Baal. So a public statement was made.
20 예후가 바알을 위하는 대회를 거룩히 열라 하매 드디어 공포하였더라
21 And Jehusent through all Israel: and all the worshippers of Baalcame, so that there was not a manleft that came not. And they came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was full from one end to another.[x]MKJV: And Jehu sent through all Israel. And all the worshipers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left who did not come. And they came into the house of Baal. And the house of Baal was full from one end to another. BBE: And Jehu sent out through all Israel; and all the servants of Baal came, not one kept away. And they came into the house of Baal, so that it was full from end to end. KAV: 예후가 온 이스라엘에 두루 사람을 보내었더니 모든 바알 숭배자들이 오되 한 사람도 남지 아니하고 왔으며 그들이 바알의 집으로 들어가매 바알의 집이 이 끝부터 저 끝까지 가득 찼더라.
21 And Jehu sent out through all Israel; and all the servants of Baal came, not one kept away. And they came into the house of Baal, so that it was full from end to end.
21 예후가 온 이스라엘에 두루 보내었더니 무릇 바알을 섬기는 사람이 하나도 빠진 자가 없이 다 이르렀고 무리가 바알의 당에 들어가매 이편부터 저편까지 가득하였더라
22 And he said unto him that was over the vestry, Bring forthvestments for all the worshippers of Baal. And he brought them forthvestments.[x]MKJV: And he said to him who [was] over the robe-room, Bring out robes for all the worshipers of Baal. And he brought [them] out for them. BBE: And Jehu said to him who kept the robes, Get out robes for all the servants of Baal. So he got out robes for them. KAV: 예후가 예복실을 담당하는 자에게 말하되, 예복을 가져다가 모든 바알 숭배자에게 주라, 하매 그가 그들에게로 예복을 가져오니
22 And Jehu said to him who kept the robes, Get out robes for all the servants of Baal. So he got out robes for them.
23 And Jehuwent, and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal, Search, and look that there be here with you none of the servants of the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.[x]MKJV: And Jehu went, and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal. And he said to the servants of Baal, Search and look, that there [may] not [be] here with you any of the servants of the LORD, but only the servants of Baal. BBE: And Jehu, with Jehonadab, the son of Rechab, went into the house of Baal; and he said to the servants of Baal, Make a search with care, to see that no servant of the Lord is with you, but only servants of Baal. KAV: 예후가 레갑의 아들 여호나답과 함께 바알의 집에 들어가 바알 숭배자들에게 이르되, 살펴서 바알 숭배자들만 있게 하며 {주}의 종은 여기에 한 사람도 너희와 함께하지 못하게 하라, 하고
23 And Jehu, with Jehonadab, the son of Rechab, went into the house of Baal; and he said to the servants of Baal, Make a search with care, to see that no servant of the Lord is with you, but only servants of Baal.
23 예후가 레갑의 아들 여호나답으로 더불어 바알의 당에 들어가서 바알을 섬기는 자에게 이르되 너희는 살펴보아 바알을 섬기는 자만 여기 있게 하고 여호와의 종은 하나도 너희 중에 있지 못하게 하라 하고

31 But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORDGod of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin.[x]MKJV: But Jehu did not care to walk in the law of Jehovah God of Israel with all his heart, for he did not turn from the sins of Jeroboam, who made Israel to sin. BBE: But Jehu did not take care to keep the law of the Lord with all his heart: he did not keep himself from the sin which Jeroboam did and made Israel do.
