9 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king; he was ruling in Jerusalem for three months and ten days, and he did evil in the eyes of the Lord.

10 And when the year was expired, kingNebuchadnezzarsent, and brought him to Babylon, with the goodlyvessels of the house of the LORD, and made Zedekiah his brotherking over Judah and Jerusalem.[x]MKJV: And when the year had ended, king Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon, with the valuable vessels of the house of the LORD. 10 In the spring of the year King Nebuchadnezzar sent and took him away to Babylon, with the beautiful vessels of the house of the Lord, and made Zedekiah, his father's brother, king over Judah and Jerusalem.

13 And he took up arms against King Nebuchadnezzar, though he had made him take an oath by God; but he made his neck stiff and his heart hard, turning away from the Lord, the God of Israel.
13 느부갓네살왕이 저로 그 하나님을 가리켜 맹세케 하였으나 저가 배반하고 목을 곧게 하며 마음을 강퍅케 하여 이스라엘 하나님 여호와께로 돌아오지 아니하였고
14 Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressedverymuch after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.[x]MKJV: Also all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the nations. 14 And more than this, all the great men of Judah and the priests and the people made their sin great, turning to all the disgusting ways of the nations; and they made unclean the house of the Lord which he had made holy in Jerusalem.
14 제사장의 어른들과 백성도 크게 범죄하여 이방 모든 가증한 일을 본받아서 여호와께서 예루살렘에 거룩하게 두신 그 전을 더럽게 하였으며
15 And the LORDGod of their fatherssent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:[x]MKJV: And the LORD God of their fathers sent to them by His messengers, rising up early and sending, for He had pity on His people and on His dwelling-place. 15 And the Lord, the God of their fathers, sent word to them by his servants, sending early and frequently, because he had pity on his people and on his living-place;

16 But they put shame on the servants of God, making sport of his words and laughing at his prophets, till the wrath of God was moved against his people, till there was no help.
16 그 백성이 하나님의 사자를 비웃고 말씀을 멸시하며 그 선지자를 욕하여 여호와의 진노로 그 백성에게 미쳐서 만회할 수 없게 하였으므로
17 Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gavethem all into his hand.[x]MKJV: And He caused the king of the Chaldeans to go up against them. And he killed their choice ones by the sword in the house of their holy place, and had no pity on the young man and the virgin, the old man and the very aged; He gave all into his hand. BBE: So he sent against them the king of the Chaldaeans, who put their young men to death with the sword in the house of their holy place, and had no pity for any, young man or virgin, old man or white-haired: God gave them all into his hands. KAV: 그러므로 그분께서 갈대아 왕을 그들에게 데려오시매 그가 그들의 성소가 있는 집에서 칼로 그들의 청년들을 죽이며 청년이나 처녀나 나이든 자나 나이 들어 등이 굽은 자나 불쌍히 여기지 아니하였더라. 그분께서 그들을 다 그의 손에 주시고
17 So he sent against them the king of the Chaldaeans, who put their young men to death with the sword in the house of their holy place, and had no pity for any, young man or virgin, old man or white-haired: God gave them all into his hands.
17 하나님이 갈대아 왕의 손에 저희를 다 붙이시매 저가 와서 그 성전에서 칼로 청년을 죽이며 청년 남녀와 노인과 백발노옹을 긍휼히 여기지 아니하였으며
18 And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.[x]MKJV: And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his rulers, he brought all [these] to Babylon. 18 And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the stored wealth of the Lord's house and the wealth of the king and his chiefs, he took away to Babylon.

19 And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodlyvessels thereof.[x]MKJV: And they burned the house of God, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burned all the palaces of it with fire, and destroyed all its beautiful vessels. 19 And the house of God was burned and the wall of Jerusalem broken down; all its great houses were burned with fire and all its beautiful vessels given up to destruction.
19 또 하나님의 전을 불사르며 예루살렘 성을 헐며 그 모든 궁실을 불사르며 그 모든 귀한 기명을 훼파하고
20 And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:[x]MKJV: And the ones who had escaped from the sword he carried away to Babylon, where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia, BBE: And all who had not come to death by the sword he took away prisoners to Babylon; and they became servants to him and to his sons till the kingdom of Persia came to power: KAV: 또 칼에서 피한 자들을 그가 바빌론으로 사로잡아 가매 그들이 거기서 페르시아 왕국이 통치할 때까지 그와 그의 아들들의 종이 되었더라.
20 And all who had not come to death by the sword he took away prisoners to Babylon; and they became servants to him and to his sons till the kingdom of Persia came to power:

21 To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and tenyears.[x]MKJV: to fulfill the word of the LORD in the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its sabbaths. All the days of the desolation it kept the sabbath, to the full measure of seventy years. BBE: So that the words of the Lord, which he said by the mouth of Jeremiah, might come true, till the land had had pleasure in her Sabbaths; for as long as she was waste the land kept the Sabbath, till seventy years were complete. 21 So that the words of the Lord, which he said by the mouth of Jeremiah, might come true, till the land had had pleasure in her Sabbaths; for as long as she was waste the land kept the Sabbath, till seventy years were complete.
21 이에 토지가 황무하여 안식년을 누림 같이 안식하여 칠십년을 지내었으니 여호와께서 예레미야의 입으로 하신 말씀이 응하였더라
22 Now in the firstyear of Cyrusking of Persia, that the word of the LORDspoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrusking of Persia, that he made a proclamationㆍ throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,[x]MKJV: And in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, so that the word of the LORD in the mouth of Jeremiah might be done, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also in writing, saying, BBE: Now in the first year of Cyrus, king of Persia, in order that the words which the Lord had said by the mouth of Jeremiah might come true, the spirit of Cyrus, king of Persia, was moved by the Lord, and he made a public statement and had it given out through all his kingdom and put in writing, saying, KAV: ¶ 이제 페르시아 왕 고레스의 제일년에 {주}께서 예레미야의 입으로 하신 {주}의 말씀을 이루시려고 페르시아 왕 고레스의 영을 움직이시매 그가 자기의 온 왕국에 두루 선포도 하고 또 글로도 기록하여 이르되,
22 Now in the first year of Cyrus, king of Persia, in order that the words which the Lord had said by the mouth of Jeremiah might come true, the spirit of Cyrus, king of Persia, was moved by the Lord, and he made a public statement and had it given out through all his kingdom and put in writing, saying,
22 바사 왕 고레스 원년에 여호와께서 예레미야의 입으로 하신 말씀을 응하게 하시려고 바사 왕 고레스의 마음을 감동시키시매 저가 온 나라에 공포도 하고 조서도 내려 가로되
23 Thus saithCyrusking of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORDGod of heavengiven me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his Godbe with him, and let him go up.[x]MKJV: So says Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth have been given to me by the LORD God. KAV: 페르시아 왕 고레스가 이같이 말하노라. {주} 곧 하늘의 [하나님]께서 땅의 모든 왕국을 내게 주시고 또 내게 명하사 유다에 있는 예루살렘에 자신을 위해 집을 건축하게 하셨나니 너희 모든 사람 가운데 누가 그분의 백성이냐? {주} 그의 [하나님]께서 그와 함께 계시기를 원하노니 그는 올라갈지니라, 하였더라.
23 Cyrus, king of Persia, has said, All the kingdoms of the earth have been given to me by the Lord, the God of heaven; and he has made me responsible for building a house for him in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever there is among you of all his people, may the Lord his God be with him and let him go up.
