1 Moreover Josiahkept a passover unto the LORD in Jerusalem: and they killed the passover on the fourteenthday of the firstmonth.[x]MKJV: And Josiah kept a Passover to the LORD in Jerusalem. 3 And he said to the Levites, the teachers of all Israel, who were holy to the Lord, See, the holy ark is in the house which Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel, made; it will no longer have to be transported on your backs: now be the servants of the Lord your God and his people Israel,
3 또 여호와 앞에 구별되어서 온 이스라엘을 가르치는 레위 사람에게 이르되 거룩한 궤를 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 아들 솔로몬의 건축한 전 가운데 두고 다시는 너희 어깨에 메지 말고 마땅히 너희 하나님 여호와와 그 백성 이스라엘을 섬길 것이라
4 And prepareyourselves by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of Davidking of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.[x]MKJV: and prepare by the houses of your fathers, according to your divisions, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son. BBE: And make yourselves ready in your divisions, by your families, as it is ordered in the writings of David, king of Israel, and of Solomon his son; KAV: 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 글과 다윗의 아들 솔로몬의 글대로 행하여 너희 조상들의 집들과 너희 계열들대로 너희 자신을 예비하고
4 And make yourselves ready in your divisions, by your families, as it is ordered in the writings of David, king of Israel, and of Solomon his son;

KAV: 너희 형제들 곧 백성의 아버지들의 가족들의 구분에 따라 성소에 서며 또 레위 사람들의 가족들의 구분대로 서서

6 So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.[x]MKJV: And kill the passover lamb, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brothers so that [they] may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses. BBE: And put the Passover lamb to death, and make yourselves holy, and make it ready for your brothers, so that the orders given by the Lord through Moses may be done. KAV: 이처럼 유월절 어린양을 잡고 너희 자신을 거룩히 구별하며 너희 형제들을 예비하여 그들이 모세의 손으로 주신 {주}의 말씀대로 행하게 할지니라, 하니라.
6 And put the Passover lamb to death, and make yourselves holy, and make it ready for your brothers, so that the orders given by the Lord through Moses may be done.
6 스스로 성결케 하고 유월절 어린양을 잡아 너희 형제를 위하여 예비하되 여호와께서 모세로 전하신 말씀을 좇아 행할찌니라
7 And Josiahgave to the peopleㆍ, of the flock, lambs and kidsㆍ, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirtythousand, and threethousandbullocks: these were of the king'ssubstance.[x]MKJV: And Josiah gave to the people from the flock, lambs and kids, all for the Passover offerings, for all who were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand oxen. These [were] from what the king owned. BBE: And Josiah gave lambs and goats from the flock as Passover offerings for all the people who were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand oxen: these were from the king's private property. KAV: 요시야가 백성들 곧 거기에 있던 모든 사람을 위하여 어린양과 어린 염소 삼만 마리를 가축 떼에서 취해 모두 유월절 헌물로 주고 또 수소 삼천 마리를 주었는데 이것들은 왕의 재물이었더라.
7 And Josiah gave lambs and goats from the flock as Passover offerings for all the people who were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand oxen: these were from the king's private property.
7 요시야가 그 모인 백성들에게 자기의 소유 양떼 중에서 어린 양과 어린 염소 삼만과 수소 삼천을 내어 유월절 제물로 주매
8 And his princesgavewillingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and sixhundredsmall cattle, and threehundredoxen.[x]MKJV: And his rulers offered to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites. 8 And his captains freely gave an offering to the people, the priests, and the Levites. Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, the rulers of the house of God, gave to the priests for the Passover offerings two thousand, six hundred small cattle and three hundred oxen.

9 And Conaniah and Shemaiah and Nethanel, his brothers, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, the chiefs of the Levites, gave to the Levites for the Passover offerings five thousand small cattle and five hundred oxen.
9 또 레위 사람의 두목들 곧 고나냐와 그 형제 스마야와 느다넬과 또 하사뱌와 여이엘과 요사밧은 양 오천과 수소 오백을 레위 사람들에게 유월절 제물로 주었더라
10 So the service was prepared, and the priestsstood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king'scommandment.[x]MKJV: And the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their divisions, according to the king's command. BBE: So everything was made ready and the priests took their places with the Levites in their divisions, as the king had said. KAV: 이와 같이 섬기는 일이 예비되매 왕의 명령대로 제사장들은 자기들의 처소에 서고 레위 사람들은 자기들의 계열대로 서니라.

11 And they killed the passover, and the priestssprinkledthe blood from their hands, and the Levitesflayedthem.[x]MKJV: And they killed the passover lamb, and the priests sprinkled from their hands, and the Levites skinned [them]. BBE: And they put the Passover lambs to death, the blood being drained out by the priests when it was given to them, and the Levites did the skinning. KAV: 그들이 유월절 어린양을 잡으니 제사장들은 그들의 손에서 피를 받아 뿌리고 레위 사람들은 그것들의 가죽을 벗기며

12 And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the familiesof the peopleㆍ, to offer unto the LORD, as it iswritten in the book of Moses. And so did they with the oxen.[x]MKJV: And they removed the burnt offerings so that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer to the LORD, as [it is] written in the book of Moses; and so they did to the oxen. BBE: And they took away the burned offerings, so that they might give them to be offered to the Lord for the divisions of the families of the people, as it is recorded in the book of Moses. And they did the same with the oxen. KAV: 그 번제 헌물을 옮겼으니 이것은 그들이 모세의 책에 기록된 대로 {주}께 드리기 위해 백성의 가족들의 구분에 따라 주려 함이었더라. 또 그들이 소도 그와 같이 하였으며
12 And they took away the burned offerings, so that they might give them to be offered to the Lord for the divisions of the families of the people, as it is recorded in the book of Moses. And they did the same with the oxen.
12 그 번제물을 옮겨 족속의 차서대로 모든 백성에게 나누어 모세의 책에 기록된대로 여호와께 드리게 하고 소도 그와 같이 하고
13 And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance: but the otherholyofferingssod they in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided themspeedily among all the people.[x]MKJV: And they roasted the passover lamb with fire according to the law. But the holy [offerings] they boiled in pots, and in kettles, and in pans, and carried to all the sons of the people. BBE: And the Passover lamb was cooked over the fire, as it says in the law; and the holy offerings were cooked in pots and basins and vessels, and taken quickly to all the people. KAV: 또 규례대로 유월절 어린양을 불에 구웠으나 다른 거룩한 헌물들은 솥과 가마와 냄비에 삶아 온 백성 가운데서 속히 나누어 주고
13 And the Passover lamb was cooked over the fire, as it says in the law; and the holy offerings were cooked in pots and basins and vessels, and taken quickly to all the people.
13 이에 규례대로 유월절 양을 불에 굽고 그 나머지 성물은 솥과 가마와 남비에 삶아 모든 백성에게 속히 분배하고
14 And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the priests the sons of Aaronwere busied in offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levitesprepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.[x]MKJV: And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests, because the priests the sons of Aaron were offering up the burnt offerings and the fat until nightfall. And the Levites prepared for themselves and for the priests, the sons of Aaron. BBE: And after that, they made ready for themselves and for the priests; for the priests, the sons of Aaron, were offering the burned offerings and the fat till night; so the Levites made ready what was needed for themselves and for the priests, the sons of Aaron. 14 And after that, they made ready for themselves and for the priests; for the priests, the sons of Aaron, were offering the burned offerings and the fat till night; so the Levites made ready what was needed for themselves and for the priests, the sons of Aaron.
14 그 후에 자기와 제사장들을 위하여 준비하니 이는 아론의 자손 제사장들이 번제와 기름을 저녁까지 드리는고로 레위 사람들이 자기와 아론의 자손 제사장들을 위하여 준비함이더라
15 And the singers the sons of Asaphwere in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king'sseer; and the porterswaited at every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the Levitesprepared for them.[x]MKJV: And the singers, the sons of Asaph [were] in their place, according to the command of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun, the king's seer. And the gatekeepers [were] at every gate. It was not for them to depart from their service; for their brothers the Levites prepared for them. BBE: And the sons of Asaph, the makers of melody, were in their places, as ordered by David and Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, the king's seer; and the door-keepers were stationed at every door: there was no need for them to go away from their places, for their brothers the Levites made ready for them. KAV: 아삽의 아들들로 노래하는 자들은 다윗과 아삽과 헤만과 왕의 선견자 여두둔의 명령에 따라 자기들의 처소에 있었고 문지기들은 모든 문에서 섬겼더라. 그들은 자기들의 섬기는 일에서 떠날 필요가 없었으니 이는 그들의 형제 레위 사람들이 그들을 위하여 예비하였기 때문이더라.
15 And the sons of Asaph, the makers of melody, were in their places, as ordered by David and Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, the king's seer; and the door-keepers were stationed at every door: there was no need for them to go away from their places, for their brothers the Levites made ready for them.
15 아삽의 자손 노래하는 자들은 다윗과 아삽과 헤만과 왕의 선견자 여두둔의 명한대로 자기 처소에 있고 문지기들은 각 문에 있고 그 직임에서 떠날 것이 없었으니 이는 그 형제 레위 사람들이 저희를 위하여 예비하였음이더라
16 So all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of kingJosiah.[x]MKJV: And all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the Passover, and to offer burnt offerings on the altar of the LORD, according to the command of king Josiah. BBE: So everything needed for the worship of the Lord was made ready that same day, for the keeping of the Passover and the offering of burned offerings on the altar of the Lord, as King Josiah had given orders. KAV: 이와 같이 그 날에 {주}를 섬기는 모든 일이 예비되매 요시야 왕의 명령대로 유월절을 지키고 번제 헌물을 {주}의 제단 위에 드렸더라.
16 So everything needed for the worship of the Lord was made ready that same day, for the keeping of the Passover and the offering of burned offerings on the altar of the Lord, as King Josiah had given orders.
16 이와 같이 당일에 여호와를 섬길 일이 다 준비되매 요시야왕의 명대로 유월절을 지키며 번제를 여호와의 단에 드렸으며
17 And the children of Israel that were presentkept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened breadsevendays.[x]MKJV: And the sons of Israel present kept the Passover at that time, and the Feast of Unleavened [Bread] seven days. BBE: And all the children of Israel who were present kept the Passover and the feast of unleavened bread at that time for seven days. KAV: 그때에 거기에 참석한 이스라엘 자손이 유월절을 지키고 또 무교절을 이레 동안 지켰는데
17 And all the children of Israel who were present kept the Passover and the feast of unleavened bread at that time for seven days.

18 And there was no passoverlike to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israelkeep such a passover as Josiahkept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.[x]MKJV: And there was no Passover like that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet. Yea, none of the kings of Israel kept such a Passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel who were found, and the people of Jerusalem. BBE: No Passover like it had been kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; and not one of the kings of Israel had ever kept a Passover like the one kept by Josiah and the priests and the Levites and all those of Judah and Israel who were present, and the people of Jerusalem. KAV: 대언자 사무엘 시대 이후로 이스라엘에서 그와 같은 유월절을 지킨 적이 없었고 이스라엘의 모든 왕들도 요시야와 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 거기에 참석한 온 유다와 이스라엘과 예루살렘 거주민들이 지킨 것 같은 유월절을 지키지 아니하였더라.
18 No Passover like it had been kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; and not one of the kings of Israel had ever kept a Passover like the one kept by Josiah and the priests and the Levites and all those of Judah and Israel who were present, and the people of Jerusalem.
18 선지자 사무엘 이후로 이스라엘 가운데서 유월절을 이같이 지키지 못하였고 이스라엘 열왕도 요시야가 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 모인 온 유다와 이스라엘 무리와 예루살렘 거민과 함께 지킨 것처럼은 유월절을 지키지 못하였더라
19 In the eighteenthㆍyear of the reign of Josiah was this passoverkept.[x]MKJV: This Passover was kept in the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah. BBE: In the eighteenth year of the rule of Josiah this Passover was kept. KAV: 요시야의 통치 제십팔년에 이 유월절을 지켰더라.

20After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Nechoking of Egypt came up to fight against Charchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went outagainst him.[x]MKJV: After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates. And Josiah went out against him. BBE: After all this, and after Josiah had put the house in order, Neco, king of Egypt, went up to make war at Carchemish by the river Euphrates; and Josiah went out against him. KAV: ¶ 이 모든 일이 있은 뒤 곧 요시야가 성전을 예비한 뒤에 이집트 왕 느고가 유프라테스 옆의 갈그미스와 싸우러 올라왔으므로 요시야가 그를 치려고 나갔으나
20 After all this, and after Josiah had put the house in order, Neco, king of Egypt, went up to make war at Carchemish by the river Euphrates; and Josiah went out against him.
20 이 모든 일 후 곧 요시야가 전을 정돈하기를 마친 후에 애굽 왕 느고가 유브라데강 가의 갈그미스를 치러 올라온고로 요시야가 나가서 방비하였더니
21 But he sentambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for Godcommanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling withGod, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.[x]MKJV: But he sent messengers to him, saying, What have I to do with you, king of Judah? [I do] not [come] against you today, but against the house [with which] I have war. For God commanded me to make haste. You must cease from [opposing] God, who [is] with me, so that He does not destroy you. BBE: But he sent representatives to him, saying, What have I to do with you, O king of Judah? I have not come against you this day, but against those with whom I am at war; and God has given me orders to go forward quickly: keep out of God's way, for he is with me, or he will send destruction on you. KAV: 느고가 요시야에게 사신들을 보내어 이르되, 유다의 왕이여, 내가 그대와 무슨 상관이 있느냐? 내가 이 날 그대를 치러 오지 아니하고 나와 싸우는 집을 치러 왔노라. [하나님]께서 내게 명령하사 빨리 행하게 하셨느니라. 나와 함께 계시는 [하나님]께서 그대를 멸하지 아니하도록 그대는 그분을 방해하지 말라, 하였으나
21 But he sent representatives to him, saying, What have I to do with you, O king of Judah? I have not come against you this day, but against those with whom I am at war; and God has given me orders to go forward quickly: keep out of God's way, for he is with me, or he will send destruction on you.
21 느고가 요시야에게 사자를 보내어 가로되 유다 왕이여 내가 그대와 무슨 관계가 있느뇨 내가 오늘날 그대를 치려는 것이 아니요 나로 더불어 싸우는 족속을 치려는 것이라 하나님이 나를 명하사 속히 하라 하셨은즉 하나님이 나와 함께 계시니 그대는 하나님을 거스리지 말라 그대를 멸하실까 하노라 하나
22 Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.[x]MKJV: But Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself so that he might fight with him. And he did not listen to the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo. BBE: However, Josiah would not go back; but keeping to his purpose of fighting against him, and giving no attention to the words of Neco, which came from God, he went forward to the fight in the valley of Megiddo. KAV: 그럼에도 불구하고 요시야가 그에게서 자기 얼굴을 돌이키려 하지 아니하고 오히려 변장을 하고 그와 싸우기 위해 [하나님]의 입에서 나온 느고의 말에 귀를 기울이지 아니하며 므깃도 골짜기에서 싸우러 가니라.
22 However, Josiah would not go back; but keeping to his purpose of fighting against him, and giving no attention to the words of Neco, which came from God, he went forward to the fight in the valley of Megiddo.
22 요시야가 몸을 돌이켜 떠나기를 싫어하고 변장하고 싸우고자 하여 하나님의 입에서 나온 느고의 말을 듣지 아니하고 므깃도 골짜기에 이르러 싸울 때에
23 And the archersshot at kingJosiah; and the kingsaid to his servants, Have me away; for I am sorewounded.[x]MKJV: And the archers shot at king Josiah. And the king said to his servants, Take me away, for I am grievously wounded. BBE: And the bowmen sent their arrows at King Josiah, and the king said to his servants, Take me away, for I am badly wounded. KAV: 활 쏘는 자들이 요시야 왕을 쏘매 왕이 자기 신하들에게 이르되, 내가 중상을 입었으니 나를 데리고 나가라, 하매
23 And the bowmen sent their arrows at King Josiah, and the king said to his servants, Take me away, for I am badly wounded.
23 활 쏘는 자가 요시야왕을 쏜지라 왕이 그 신복에게 이르되 내가 중상하였으니 나를 도와 나가게 하라
24 His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the secondchariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in one of the sepulchres of his fathers. 24 So his servants took him out of the line of war-carriages, and put him in his second carriage and took him to Jerusalem, where he came to his end, and they put his body in the resting-place of his fathers. And in all Judah and Jerusalem there was great weeping for Josiah.
24 그 신복이 저를 병거에서 내리게 하고 저의 버금 병거에 태워 예루살렘에 이른 후에 저가 죽으니 그 열조의 묘실에 장사하니라 온 유다와 예루살렘 사람들이 요시야를 슬퍼하고
25 And Jeremiahlamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing womenspake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they arewritten in the lamentations.[x]MKJV: And Jeremiah mourned for Josiah. And all the singing men and the singing women have spoken of Josiah in their lamentations until this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel. And behold, they [are] written in the Lamentations. BBE: And Jeremiah made a song of grief for Josiah; and to this day Josiah is named by all the makers of melody, men and women, in their songs of grief; they made it a rule in Israel; and the songs are recorded among the songs of grief. KAV: ¶ 예레미야는 요시야로 인하여 애곡하였으며 또 이 날까지 노래하는 남자들과 여자들은 다 애가로 요시야에 대해 노래하고 그 애가들을 이스라엘에서 규례로 삼았더라. 보라, 그것들이 애가에 기록되어 있느니라.
25 And Jeremiah made a song of grief for Josiah; and to this day Josiah is named by all the makers of melody, men and women, in their songs of grief; they made it a rule in Israel; and the songs are recorded among the songs of grief.
25 예레미야는 저를 위하여 애가를 지었으며 노래하는 남자와 여자는 요시야를 슬피 노래하니 이스라엘에 규례가 되어 오늘날까지 이르렀으며 그 가사는 애가 중에 기록되었더라
