2 But didthat which wasevil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast outbefore the children of Israel.[x]MKJV: But he did the evil in the sight of the LORD, like the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the sons of Israel. BBE: He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, copying the disgusting ways of the nations whom the Lord had sent out of the land before the children of Israel. 2 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, copying the disgusting ways of the nations whom the Lord had sent out of the land before the children of Israel.

3 For he put up again the high places which had been pulled down by his father Hezekiah; and he made altars for the Baals, and pillars of wood, and was a worshipper and servant of all the stars of heaven;

KAV: 또 힌놈의 아들의 골짜기에서 자기 아이들을 불 가운데로 지나가게 하며 또 때를 살피고 요술과 마술을 행하며 부리는 영과 마술사들과 관계를 맺고 {주}의 눈앞에서 악을 많이 행하여 그분의 분노를 일으켰더라.
6 More than this, he made his children go through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom; and he made use of secret arts, and signs for reading the future, and unnatural powers, and gave positions to those who had control of spirits and to wonder-workers: he did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, moving him to wrath.
6 또 힌놈의 아들 골짜기에서 그 아들들을 불 가운데로 지나게 하며 또 점치며 사술과 요술을 행하며 신접한 자와 박수를 신임하여 여호와 보시기에 악을 많이 행하여 그 진노를 격발하였으며

7 And he put the image he had made in the house of God, the house of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, the town which I have made mine out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:

8 Neither will I any moreremove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.[x]MKJV: Nor will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have set apart for your fathers; only if they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses. BBE: And never again will I let the feet of Israel be moved out of the land which I have given to their fathers; if only they will take care to do all my orders, even all the law and the orders and the rules given to them by Moses. 8 And never again will I let the feet of Israel be moved out of the land which I have given to their fathers; if only they will take care to do all my orders, even all the law and the orders and the rules given to them by Moses.
8 만일 이스라엘 사람이 내가 명한 일 곧 모세로 전한 모든 율법과 율례와 규례를 지켜 행하면 내가 그들의 발로 다시는 그 열조에게 정하여 준 땅에서 옮기지 않게 하리라 하셨으나

KAV: 이와 같이 므낫세가 유다와 예루살렘 거주민들로 하여금 잘못하게 하고 {주}께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 멸하신 이교도들보다 더 나쁘게 행하도록 하였더라.
9 And Manasseh made Judah and the people of Jerusalem go out of the true way, so that they did more evil than those nations whom the Lord gave up to destruction before the children of Israel.
9 유다와 예루살렘 거민이 므낫세의 꾀임을 받고 악을 행한 것이 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 멸하신 열방보다 더욱 심하였더라
10 And the LORDspake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken.[x]MKJV: And the LORD spoke to Manasseh and to His people, but they would not listen. BBE: And the word of the Lord came to Manasseh and his people, but they gave no attention. KAV: {주}께서 므낫세와 그의 백성에게 말씀하셨으나 그들이 귀를 기울이려 하지 아니하니라.

11 Wherefore the LORDbrought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which tookManasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.[x]MKJV: And the LORD brought on them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh among the thorns and bound him with chains and carried him to Babylon. BBE: So the Lord sent against them the captains of the army of Assyria, who made Manasseh a prisoner and took him away in chains to Babylon. KAV: ¶ 그러므로 {주}께서 아시리아 왕의 군대 대장들을 그들에게 보내시매 이들이 므낫세를 붙잡아 가시 가운데 넣고 족쇄로 결박하여 바빌론으로 끌고 가니
11 So the Lord sent against them the captains of the army of Assyria, who made Manasseh a prisoner and took him away in chains to Babylon.
11 여호와께서 앗수르 왕의 군대 장관들로 와서 치게 하시매 저희가 므낫세를 사로잡고 쇠사슬로 결박하여 바벨론으로 끌어 간지라
12 And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatlybefore the God of his fathers,[x]MKJV: And when he was in affliction, he sought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. 13 And prayed unto him: and he was entreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manassehknew that the LORD he wasGod.[x]MKJV: And he prayed to Him, and He was entreated of him, and heard his prayer, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. And Manasseh knew that Jehovah [is] God. BBE: And made prayer to him; and in answer to his prayer God let him come back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. 13 And made prayer to him; and in answer to his prayer God let him come back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh was certain that the Lord was God.
13 기도한고로 하나님이 그 기도를 받으시며 그 간구를 들으시사 저로 예루살렘에 돌아와서 다시 왕위에 거하게 하시매 므낫세가 그제야 여호와께서 하나님이신 줄을 알았더라
14 Now after this he built a wallwithout the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fishgate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and putcaptains of war in all the fencedcities of Judah.[x]MKJV: And after this he built a wall outside the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entrance of the Fish Gate, and went around Ophel, and raised it to a very great height. And he put army commanders in all the fortified cities of Judah. BBE: After this he made an outer wall for the town of David, on the west side of Gihon in the valley, as far as the way into the town by the fish doorway; and he put a very high wall round the Ophel; and he put captains of the army in all the walled towns of Judah. KAV: 이제 이 일 후에 그가 다윗의 도시 밖으로 기혼의 서쪽 편 골짜기에 성벽을 쌓아 물고기 문 입구까지 이르게 하고 오벨 주변을 에워싸며 그것을 심히 높이 올리고 또 유다의 성벽을 두른 모든 도시에 전투 대장들을 두며
14 After this he made an outer wall for the town of David, on the west side of Gihon in the valley, as far as the way into the town by the fish doorway; and he put a very high wall round the Ophel; and he put captains of the army in all the walled towns of Judah.
14 그 후에 다윗성 밖 기혼 서편 골짜기 안에 외성을 쌓되 생선문 어귀까지 이르러 오벨을 둘러 심히 높이 쌓고 또 유다 모든 견고한 성읍에 군대 장관을 두며
15 And he took away the strangegods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and castthemout of the city.[x]MKJV: And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mountain of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and threw [them] out of the city. BBE: He took away the strange gods and the image out of the house of the Lord, and all the altars he had put up on the hill of the Lord's house and in Jerusalem, and put them out of the town. KAV: {주}의 집에서 이방 신들과 우상을 제거하고 또 자기가 {주}의 집이 있는 산과 예루살렘에 쌓은 모든 제단을 제거하고 그것들을 도시에서 끄집어내어 버리며
15 He took away the strange gods and the image out of the house of the Lord, and all the altars he had put up on the hill of the Lord's house and in Jerusalem, and put them out of the town.
15 이방 신들과 여호와의 전의 우상을 제하며 여호와의 전을 건축한 산에와 예루살렘에 쌓은 모든 단을 다 성 밖에 던지고
16 And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peaceofferings and thank offerings, and commandedJudah to serve the LORDGod of Israel.[x]MKJV: And he repaired the altar of the LORD and sacrificed on it peace offerings and thank-offerings. And he commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel. BBE: And he put the altar of the Lord in order, offering peace-offerings and praise-offerings on it, and said that all Judah were to be servants of the Lord, the God of Israel. KAV: {주}의 제단을 보수하고 화평 헌물과 감사 헌물을 그 제단 위에 드리며 유다에게 명령하여 {주} 이스라엘의 [하나님]을 섬기게 하니라.
16 And he put the altar of the Lord in order, offering peace-offerings and praise-offerings on it, and said that all Judah were to be servants of the Lord, the God of Israel.

17Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places, yet unto the LORD their God only.[x]MKJV: But the people still sacrificed in the high places, [but only] to the LORD their God. KAV: ¶ 보라, 이제 므낫세의 남은 행적과 그가 자기 [하나님]께 드린 기도와 선견자들이 {주} 이스라엘의 [하나님]의 이름으로 그에게 전한 말씀들은 이스라엘의 왕들의 책에 기록되어 있고

19 And the prayer which he made to God, and how God gave him an answer, and all his sin and his wrongdoing, and the places where he made high places and put up pillars of wood and images, before he put away his pride, are recorded in the history of the seers.
19 또 그 기도와 그 기도를 들으신것과 그 모든 죄와 건과와 겸비하기 전에 산당을 세운 곳과 아세라 목상과 우상을 세운 곳들이 다 호새의 사기에 기록되니라
20 So Manassehslept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house: and Amon his sonreigned in his stead.[x]MKJV: And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house. And his son Amon reigned in his place. BBE: So Manasseh went to rest with his fathers, and they put his body to rest in his house, and Amon his son became king in his place. 20 So Manasseh went to rest with his fathers, and they put his body to rest in his house, and Amon his son became king in his place.

BBE: He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as Manasseh his father had done; and Amon made offerings to all the images which his father Manasseh had made, and was their servant. 22 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as Manasseh his father had done; and Amon made offerings to all the images which his father Manasseh had made, and was their servant.

23 And humbled not himself before the LORD, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but Amontrespassed more and more.[x]MKJV: And [he] did not bow before the LORD, like the humbling of his father Manasseh. For Amon himself multiplied guilt. BBE: He did not make himself low before the Lord, as his father Manasseh had done, but went on sinning more and more. KAV: 자기 아버지 므낫세가 자기를 낮춘 것 같이 {주} 앞에서 자기를 낮추지 아니하고 오히려 더욱 죄를 지었더라.

24 And his servantsconspired against him, and slew him in his own house.[x]MKJV: And his servants conspired against him and killed him in his own house. BBE: And his servants made a secret design against him, and put him to death in his house. KAV: 그의 신하들이 그를 대적하여 음모를 꾸미고 그의 집에서 그를 죽이니라.

25 But the people of the landslew all them that had conspired against kingAmon; and the people of the landmadeJosiah his sonking in his stead.[x]MKJV: And the people of the land killed all those who conspired against king Amon. BBE: But the people of the land put to death all those who had taken part in the design against King Amon, and made his son Josiah king in his place. KAV: ¶ 그러나 그 땅의 백성이 아몬 왕을 대적하여 음모를 꾸민 자들을 다 죽이고 그를 대신하여 그의 아들 요시야를 왕으로 삼으니라.
25 But the people of the land put to death all those who had taken part in the design against King Amon, and made his son Josiah king in his place.
