1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he became king; and he was ruling in Jerusalem for sixteen years; and his mother's name was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok.
1 요담이 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십 오세라 예루살렘에서 십 륙년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 여루사라 사독의 딸이더라
2 And he didthat which wasright in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fatherUzziahdid: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet corruptly.[x]MKJV: And he did the right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah did. Only, he did not enter into the temple of the LORD. And the people still did evilly. BBE: He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as his father Uzziah had done; but he did not go into the Temple of the Lord. And the people still went on in their evil ways. KAV: 요담이 자기 아버지 웃시야가 행한 모든 것에 따라 {주}의 눈앞에서 올바른 것을 행하였으나 {주}의 성전에는 들어가지 아니하였고 백성은 여전히 악하게 행하였더라.
2 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as his father Uzziah had done; but he did not go into the Temple of the Lord. And the people still went on in their evil ways.

KAV: ¶ 또 그가 암몬 족속의 왕과 싸워 그들을 이겼더니 바로 그 해에 암몬 자손이 은 백 달란트와 밀 만 고르와 보리 만 고르를 그에게 주었고 또 둘째 해와 셋째 해에도 암몬 자손이 그 만큼을 그에게 바쳤더라.
5 He went to war with the king of the children of Ammon and overcame them. That year, the children of Ammon gave him a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of grain and ten thousand measures of barley. And the children of Ammon gave him the same amount the second year and the third.
5 암몬 자손의 왕으로 더불어 싸워 이기었더니 그 해에 암몬 자손이 은 일백 달란트와 밀 일만석과 보리 일만석을 드렸고 제 이년과 제 삼년에도 암몬 자손이 그와 같이 드렸더라
6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his waysbefore the LORD his God.[x]MKJV: And Jotham became mighty because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God. And his son Ahaz reigned in his place. BBE: And Jotham went to rest with his fathers, and they put his body into the earth in the town of David; and Ahaz his son became king in his place. 9 And Jotham went to rest with his fathers, and they put his body into the earth in the town of David; and Ahaz his son became king in his place.
