KAV: 아마샤가 통치하기 시작할 때에 나이가 이십오 세더라. 그가 예루살렘에서 이십구 년 동안 통치하니라. 그의 어머니의 이름은 예루살렘의 여호앗단이더라.
1 Amaziah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he was ruling in Jerusalem for twenty-nine years; his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.
1 아마샤가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십 오세라 예루살렘에서 이십 구년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 여호앗단이라 예루살렘 사람이더라
2 And he didthat which wasright in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfectheart.[x]MKJV: And he did the right in the eyes of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart. BBE: He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, but his heart was not completely true to the Lord. KAV: 아마샤가 {주}의 눈앞에서 올바른 것을 행하였으나 완전한 마음으로 하지는 아니하였더라.

3 Now it came to pass, when the kingdom was established to him, that he slew his servants that had killed the king his father.[x]MKJV: And it happened when the kingdom was made sure to him, he killed his servants who had killed his father, the king. BBE: Now when he became strong in the kingdom, he put to death those men who had taken the life of the king his father. KAV: ¶ 이제 왕국이 자기에게 굳게 서매 그가 왕이던 자기 아버지를 죽인 자기 신하들을 죽였으나
3 Now when he became strong in the kingdom, he put to death those men who had taken the life of the king his father.
3 그 나라가 굳게 서매 그 부왕을 죽인 신복들을 죽였으나
4 But he slew not their children, but did as it iswritten in the law in the book of Moses, where the LORDcommanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the childrendie for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.[x]MKJV: But he did not kill their sons, but as [it is] written in the law in the book of Moses, where the LORD commanded, saying, The father shall not die for the sons, nor shall the sons die for the] fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin. BBE: But he did not put their children to death, for he kept the orders of the Lord recorded in the book of the law of Moses, saying, The fathers are not to be put to death for their children or the children for their fathers, but a man is to be put to death for the sin which he himself has done. KAV: 그들의 자녀들은 죽이지 아니하고 모세의 책에 있는 법에 기록된 대로 행하였더라. 거기서 {주}께서 명령하여 이르시기를, 자녀들로 인하여 아버지들을 죽이지 말며 아버지들로 인하여 자녀들을 죽이지 말라. 오직 각 사람은 자기 죄로 인하여 죽을 것이니라, 하셨더라.
4 But he did not put their children to death, for he kept the orders of the Lord recorded in the book of the law of Moses, saying, The fathers are not to be put to death for their children or the children for their fathers, but a man is to be put to death for the sin which he himself has done.
4 저희 자녀는 죽이지 아니하였으니 이는 모세 율법 책에 기록한대로 함이라 곧 여호와께서 명하여 이르시기를 자녀로 인하여 아비를 죽이지 말 것이요 아비로 인하여 자녀를 죽이지 말 것이라 오직 각 사람은 자기의 죄로 인하여 죽을 것이니라 하셨더라
5 Moreover AmaziahgatheredJudahtogether, and made them captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, according to the houses of theirfathers, throughout all Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twentyyearsold and above, and found them threehundredthousandchoicemen, able to go forth to war, that could handlespear and shield.[x]MKJV: And Amaziah gathered Judah and made them commanders over thousands and commanders over hundreds, according to the houses of the fathers, for all Judah and Benjamin. And he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them three hundred thousand choice [men, able] to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield. BBE: Then Amaziah got all Judah together and put them in order by their families, even all Judah and Benjamin, under captains of thousands and captains of hundreds: and he had those of twenty years old and over numbered, and they came to three hundred thousand of the best fighting-men, trained for war and in the use of the spear and the body-cover. KAV: ¶ 또 아마샤가 유다를 함께 모으고 그들의 조상들의 집들에 따라 그들을 위해 온 유다와 베냐민에 두루 천인 대장들과 백인 대장들을 세웠으며 또 스무 살이 넘은 자들의 수를 세어 창과 방패를 다루고 능히 전쟁에 나갈 만한 자 곧 택한 자 삼십만 명을 얻었고
5 Then Amaziah got all Judah together and put them in order by their families, even all Judah and Benjamin, under captains of thousands and captains of hundreds: and he had those of twenty years old and over numbered, and they came to three hundred thousand of the best fighting-men, trained for war and in the use of the spear and the body-cover.
5 아마샤가 유다 사람을 모으고 그 여러 족속을 따라 천부장과 백부장을 세우되 유다와 베냐민을 함께 그리하고 이십세 이상으로 계수하여 창과 방패를 잡고 능히 전장에 나갈만한 자 삼십만을 얻고
6 He hired also an hundredthousandmighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundredtalents of silver.[x]MKJV: And he hired a hundred thousand mighty men of war out of Israel for a hundred talents of silver. BBE: And for a hundred talents of silver, he got a hundred thousand fighting-men from Israel. KAV: 또 은 백 달란트로 이스라엘에서 강한 용사 십만 명을 고용하였더라.
6 And for a hundred talents of silver, he got a hundred thousand fighting-men from Israel.
6 또 은 일백 달란트로 이스라엘 나라에서 큰 용사 십만을 삯내었더니
7 But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israelgo with thee; for the LORDis not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim.[x]MKJV: But a man of God came to him saying, O king, do not let the army of Israel go with you, for the LORD [is] not with Israel, with all the sons of Ephraim. BBE: But a man of God came to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with you; for the Lord is not with Israel, that is, the children of Ephraim. KAV: 그러나 [하나님]의 사람이 아마샤에게 나아와 이르되, 오 왕이여, 이스라엘 군대가 왕과 함께 가지 못하게 하옵소서. {주}께서 이스라엘 곧 온 에브라임 자손과 함께하지 아니하시나이다.
7 But a man of God came to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with you; for the Lord is not with Israel, that is, the children of Ephraim.
7 어떤 하나님의 사람이 아마샤에게 나아와서 이르되 왕이여 이스라엘 군대로 왕과 함께 가게 마옵소서 여호와께서는 이스라엘 곧 온 에브라임 자손과 함께하지 아니하시나니
8 But if thou wilt go, doit, be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fallbefore the enemy: for Godhathpower to help, and to cast down.[x]MKJV: But if you will go, do [it]! Be strong for the battle, for God shall make you fall before the enemy, for God has power to help and to throw down. BBE: But go yourself, and be strong in war; God will not let you go down before those who are fighting against you; for God has power to give help or to send you down before your attackers. KAV: 그러나 왕이 만일 가서 그 일을 하시려거든 전쟁을 위해 마음을 강하게 하소서. [하나님]께서 왕을 원수 앞에 쓰러지게 하시리니 [하나님]께는 돕는 권능도 있고 쓰러뜨리는 권능도 있나이다, 하매
8 But go yourself, and be strong in war; God will not let you go down before those who are fighting against you; for God has power to give help or to send you down before your attackers.
8 왕이 만일 가시거든 힘써 싸우소서 하나님이 왕을 대적 앞에 엎드러지게 하시리이다 하나님은 능히 돕기도 하시고 능히 패하게도 하시나이다
9 And Amaziahsaid to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundredtalents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of Godanswered, The LORDis able to give thee much more than this.[x]MKJV: And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what [shall we] do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give you much more than this. BBE: Then Amaziah said to the man of God, But what is to be done about the hundred talents which I have given for the armed band of Israel? And the man of God in answer said, God is able to give you much more than this. KAV: 아마샤가 [하나님]의 사람에게 이르되, 그러나 내가 이미 이스라엘 군대에게 준 백 달란트에 대해서는 어찌할까? 하매 [하나님]의 사람이 대답하되, {주}께서 능히 이보다 더 많은 것을 왕에게 주실 수 있나이다, 하니라.
9 Then Amaziah said to the man of God, But what is to be done about the hundred talents which I have given for the armed band of Israel? And the man of God in answer said, God is able to give you much more than this.
9 아마샤가 하나님의 사람에게 이르되 내가 일백 달란트를 이스라엘 군대에게 주었으니 어찌할꼬 하나님의 사람이 대답하되 여호와께서 능히 이보다 많은 것으로 왕에게 주실수 있나이다
10 Then Amaziahseparated them, to wit, the army that was come to him out of Ephraim, to gohomeagain: wherefore their anger was greatlykindled against Judah, and they returnedhome in greatanger.[x]MKJV: And Amaziah separated them, the army that had come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again. And their anger was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in great anger. BBE: So Amaziah, separating the armed band which had come to him from Ephraim, sent them back again; which made them very angry with Judah, and they went back burning with wrath. KAV: 그때에 아마샤가 그들 곧 에브라임에서 자기에게 나아온 군대를 분리하여 집으로 다시 돌아가게 하였으므로 그들의 분노가 유다를 향해 크게 타오르매 그들이 심히 분노하여 집으로 돌아갔더라.
10 So Amaziah, separating the armed band which had come to him from Ephraim, sent them back again; which made them very angry with Judah, and they went back burning with wrath.
10 아마샤가 이에 에브라임에서 자기에게 나아온 군대를 구별하여 본곳으로 돌아가게 하였더니 저희 무리가 유다 사람을 심히 노하여 분연히 본곳으로 돌아갔더라
11 And Amaziahstrengthened himself, and led forth his people, and went to the valley of salt, and smote of the children of Seirtenthousand.[x]MKJV: And Amaziah made himself strong, and led forth his people, and went to the Valley of Salt, and struck ten thousand of the sons of Seir. BBE: Then Amaziah took heart, and went out at the head of his people and came to the Valley of Salt, where he put to death ten thousand of the children of Seir; KAV: ¶ 아마샤가 자기 세력을 강화하고 자기 백성을 인도하여 소금 골짜기에 가서 세일 자손 만 명을 쳤고
11 Then Amaziah took heart, and went out at the head of his people and came to the Valley of Salt, where he put to death ten thousand of the children of Seir;
11 아마샤가 담력을 내어 그 백성을 거느리고 염곡에 이르러 세일 자손 일만을 죽이고
12 And othertenthousandleftalive did the children of Judah carry away captive, and brought them unto the top of the rock, and cast them down from the top of the rock, that they all were broken in pieces.[x]MKJV: And the sons of Judah carried away captive ten thousand alive, and brought them to the top of the rock, and threw them down from the top of the rock so they were all broken in pieces. BBE: And ten thousand more the children of Israel took living, and made them go up to the top of the rock, pushing them down from the top of the rock so that their bodies were broken by the fall. KAV: 유다 자손이 또 살아남은 다른 만 명을 포로로 사로잡아 바위 꼭대기로 그들을 데리고 올라가 그 바위 꼭대기에서 그들을 내던지매 그들이 다 산산조각 났더라.
12 And ten thousand more the children of Israel took living, and made them go up to the top of the rock, pushing them down from the top of the rock so that their bodies were broken by the fall.
12 유다 자손이 또 일만을 사로잡아 가지고 바위 꼭대기에 올라가서 거기서 밀쳐 내려뜨려서 그 몸이 부숴지게 하였더라
13 But the soldiers of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Judah, from Samaria even unto Bethhoron, and smotethreethousand of them, and tookmuchspoil.[x]MKJV: And the sons of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell on the cities of Judah from Samaria even to Beth-horon, and struck three thousand of them and took much plunder. BBE: But the men of the band which Amaziah sent back and did not take with him to the fight, made attacks on the towns of Judah from Samaria to Beth-horon, putting to death three thousand of their people and taking away a great store of their goods. KAV: ¶ 그러나 아마샤가 자기와 함께 전쟁에 나가지 못하게 하고 돌려보낸 군대의 병사들이 사마리아에서부터 벧호론에 이르기까지 유다의 도시들을 덮치고 그들 중에서 삼천 명을 치고 물건을 많이 노략하였더라.
13 But the men of the band which Amaziah sent back and did not take with him to the fight, made attacks on the towns of Judah from Samaria to Beth-horon, putting to death three thousand of their people and taking away a great store of their goods.
13 아마샤가 자기와 함께 전장에 나가지 못하게 하고 돌려 보낸 군사들이 사마리아에서부터 벧호론까지 유다 성읍을 엄습하고 사람 삼천을 죽이고 물건을 많이 노략하였더라
14 Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them upto be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.[x]MKJV: And it happened after Amaziah had come from the slaughter of the Edomites, he brought the gods of the sons of Seir and set them up [to be] his gods, and bowed down himself before them and burned incense to them. BBE: Now when Amaziah came back from the destruction of the Edomites, he took the gods of the children of Seir and made them his gods, worshipping them and burning offerings before them. KAV: ¶ 이제 아마샤가 에돔 족속을 살육하고 올 때에 세일 자손의 신들을 가져다가 자기의 신들로 세우고 그것들 앞에 엎드려 절하며 그것들에게 분향하니라.
14 Now when Amaziah came back from the destruction of the Edomites, he took the gods of the children of Seir and made them his gods, worshipping them and burning offerings before them.
14 아마샤가 에돔 사람을 도륙하고 돌아올 때에 세일 자손의 우상들을 가져다가 자기의 신으로 세우고 그 앞에 경배하며 분향한지라
15 Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?[x]MKJV: And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and He sent to him a prophet who said to him, Why have you sought after the gods of the people which could not deliver their own people out of your hand? BBE: And so the wrath of the Lord was moved against Amaziah, and he sent a prophet to him, who said, Why have you gone after the gods of the people who have not given their people salvation from your hands? KAV: 그러므로 {주}의 분노가 아마샤를 향해 타오르므로 그분께서 한 대언자를 보내시니 그가 그에게 이르되, 저 백성의 신들이 자기들의 백성을 왕의 손에서 능히 건져 내지 못하였거늘 왕은 어찌하여 그 신들에게 구하나이까? 하니라.
15 And so the wrath of the Lord was moved against Amaziah, and he sent a prophet to him, who said, Why have you gone after the gods of the people who have not given their people salvation from your hands?
15 그러므로 여호와께서 아마샤에게 진노하사 한 선지자를 보내시니 나아가 가로되 저 백성의 신들이 자기 백성을 왕의 손에서 능히 구원하지 못하였거늘 왕은 어찌하여 그 신들에게 구하나이까 하며
16 And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the kingsaid unto him, Art thou made of the king'scounsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophetforbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.[x]MKJV: And it happened as he talked with him, [the king] said to him, Have we made you of the king's counsel? Stop! Why should you be stricken? And the prophet stopped. And he said, I know that God has determined to destroy you because you have done this and have not listened to my counsel. BBE: But while he was talking to him the king said to him, Have we made you one of the king's government? say no more, or it will be the cause of your death. Then the prophet gave up protesting, and said, It is clear to me that God's purpose is your destruction, because you have done this and have not given ear to my words. KAV: 대언자가 왕에게 말할 때에 왕이 그에게 이르되, 네가 왕의 조언자가 되었느냐? 그치라. 어찌하여 맞으려 하느냐? 하매 이에 대언자가 그치며 이르되, 왕이 이 일을 행하고 내 조언에 귀를 기울이지 아니하였으니 [하나님]께서 왕을 멸하시기로 결정하신 줄 내가 아나이다, 하였더라.
16 But while he was talking to him the king said to him, Have we made you one of the king's government? say no more, or it will be the cause of your death. Then the prophet gave up protesting, and said, It is clear to me that God's purpose is your destruction, because you have done this and have not given ear to my words.
16 선지자가 오히려 말할 때에 왕이 이르되 우리가 너로 왕의 모사를 삼았느냐 그치라 어찌하여 맞으려 하느냐 선지자가 그치며 가로되 왕이 이 일을 행하고 나의 경고를 듣지 아니하니 하나님이 왕을 멸하시기로 결정하신줄 아노라 하였더라
17 Then Amaziahking of Judah took advice, and sent to Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us see one another in the face.[x]MKJV: And Amaziah king of Judah took advice, and sent to Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come let us look one another in the face. BBE: Then Amaziah, king of Judah, acting on the suggestion of his servants, sent to Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us have a meeting face to face. KAV: ¶ 그때에 유다 왕 아마샤가 권고를 받아 예후의 손자요, 여호아하스의 아들인 이스라엘 왕 요아스에게 사람을 보내어 이르되, 오라, 우리가 서로 대면하자, 하니라.
17 Then Amaziah, king of Judah, acting on the suggestion of his servants, sent to Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us have a meeting face to face.
17 유다 왕 아마샤가 상의하고 예후의 손자 여호아하스의 아들 이스라엘 왕 요아스에게 사자를 보내어 이르되 오라 서로 대면하자 한지라
18 And Joashking of Israelsent to Amaziahking of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanonsent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wildbeast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.[x]MKJV: And Jehoash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah saying, The thistle that [was] in Lebanon sent to the cedar in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son for a wife. [And a beast of the field in Lebanon passed by and trampled the thistle down. BBE: And Joash, king of Israel, sent to Amaziah, king of Judah, saying, The thorn-tree in Lebanon sent to the cedar in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son for a wife: and a beast from the woodland in Lebanon went by, crushing the thorn under his feet. KAV: 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 유다 왕 아마샤에게 사람을 보내어 이르되, 레바논의 가시나무가 레바논의 백향목에게 사람을 보내어 말하기를, 네 딸을 내 아들에게 아내로 주라, 하였더니 레바논의 들짐승이 지나가다가 그 가시나무를 짓밟았느니라.
18 And Joash, king of Israel, sent to Amaziah, king of Judah, saying, The thorn-tree in Lebanon sent to the cedar in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son for a wife: and a beast from the woodland in Lebanon went by, crushing the thorn under his feet.
18 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 유다 왕 아마샤에게 보내어 이르되 레바논 가시나무가 레바논 백향목에게 보내어 이르기를 네 딸을 내 아들에게 주어 아내를 삼게 하라 하였더니 레바논 짐승이 지나가다가 그 가시나무를 짓밟았느니라
19 Thou sayest, Lo, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to thinehurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?[x]MKJV: You have said, Lo, I have stricken the Edomites, and your heart lifts you up to boast. Now stay at home why should you meddle to [your] hurt, so that you should fall, you and Judah with you? BBE: You say, See, I have overcome Edom; and your heart is lifted up with pride: now keep in your country; why do you make causes of trouble, putting yourself, and Judah with you, in danger of downfall? KAV: 보라, 네가 에돔 족속을 쳤다고 말하며 네 마음이 너를 높여 자랑하게 하는도다. 이제 네 집에나 거하라. 어찌 네가 화를 입으려고 간섭하여 너와 또 너와 함께한 유다가 쓰러지려 하느냐? 하였으나
19 You say, See, I have overcome Edom; and your heart is lifted up with pride: now keep in your country; why do you make causes of trouble, putting yourself, and Judah with you, in danger of downfall?
19 네가 에돔 사람을 쳤다 하고 네 마음이 교만하여 자긍하는도다 네 궁에나 편히 거하라 어찌하여 화를 자취하여 너와 유다가 함께 망하고자 하느냐 하나
20 But Amaziah would not hear; for it came of God, that he might deliver them into the handof their enemies, because they sought after the gods of Edom.[x]MKJV: But Amaziah would not hear, for it [was] from God so that He might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they sought after the gods of Edom. BBE: But Amaziah gave no attention; and this was the purpose of God, so that he might give them up into the hands of Joash, because they had gone after the gods of Edom. KAV: 아마샤가 들으려 하지 아니하였으니 이는 그 일이 [하나님]에게서 나왔기 때문이더라. 그들이 에돔의 신들에게 구하였으므로 그분께서 그들을 그들의 원수들의 손에 넘겨주려 하셨더라.
20 But Amaziah gave no attention; and this was the purpose of God, so that he might give them up into the hands of Joash, because they had gone after the gods of Edom.
20 아마샤가 듣지 아니하였으니 이는 하나님께로 말미암은 것이라 저희가 에돔 신들에게 구하였으므로 그 대적의 손에 붙이려 하심이더라
21 So Joash the king of Israel went up; and they saw one another in the face, both he and Amaziahking of Judah, at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah.[x]MKJV: And Jehoash the king of Israel went up. And they saw one another in the face, he and Amaziah king of Judah, at Beth-shemesh of Judah. BBE: And so Joash, king of Israel, went up; and he and Amaziah, king of Judah, came face to face at Beth-shemesh in Judah. KAV: 이에 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 올라오매 그들 곧 그와 유다 왕 아마샤가 유다에 속한 벧세메스에서 서로 대면하였는데
21 And so Joash, king of Israel, went up; and he and Amaziah, king of Judah, came face to face at Beth-shemesh in Judah.
21 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 올라와서 유다 왕 아마샤로 더불어 유다의 벧세메스에서 대면하였더니
22 And Judah was put to the worsebeforeIsrael, and they fled every man to his tent.[x]MKJV: And Judah was beaten before Israel, and each man fled to his tent. BBE: And Judah was overcome before Israel, and they went in flight, every man to his tent. KAV: 유다가 이스라엘 앞에서 패하여 그들이 각각 자기 장막으로 도망하니라.

23 And Joash the king of IsraeltookAmaziahking of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, at Bethshemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the cornergate, fourhundredcubits.[x]MKJV: And Jehoash the king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash the son of Ahaziah, at Beth-shemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate, four hundred cubits. 23 And Joash, king of Israel, made Amaziah, king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, prisoner at Beth-shemesh, and took him to Jerusalem; and he had the wall of Jerusalem pulled down from the doorway of Ephraim to the doorway in the angle, four hundred cubits.
23 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 벧세메스에서 여호아하스의 손자 요아스의 아들 유다 왕 아마샤를 사로잡고 예루살렘에 이르러 예루살렘 성벽을 에브라임 문에서부터 성 모퉁이 문까지 사백 규빗을 헐고
24 And he took all the gold and the silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of God with Obededom, and the treasures of the king'shouse, the hostagesalso, and returned to Samaria.[x]MKJV: And [he took] all the gold and the silver, and all the vessels which were found in the house of God with Obed-edom, and the treasures of the king's house, the hostages also, and returned to Samaria. BBE: And he took all the gold and silver and all the vessels which were in the house of the Lord, under the care of Obed-edom, and all the wealth from the king's house, as well as those whose lives would be the price of broken faith, and went back to Samaria. KAV: 또 오벳에돔과 더불어 [하나님]의 집에서 찾은 모든 금과 은과 모든 그릇을 취하고 또 왕의 집 보물을 취하며 또 사람들을 볼모로 잡아서 사마리아로 돌아갔더라.
24 And he took all the gold and silver and all the vessels which were in the house of the Lord, under the care of Obed-edom, and all the wealth from the king's house, as well as those whose lives would be the price of broken faith, and went back to Samaria.
24 또 하나님의 전 안에 오벧에돔의 지키는 모든 금은과 기명과 왕궁의 재물을 취하고 또 사람을 볼모로 잡아가지고 사마리아로 돌아갔더라
25 And Amaziah the son of Joashking of Judahlivedafter the death of Joashson of Jehoahazking of Israelfifteenㆍyears.[x]MKJV: And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived fifteen years after the death of Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz king of Israel. 25 Amaziah, son of Joash, king of Judah, went on living for fifteen years after the death of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, king of Israel.
25 이스라엘 왕 요아하스의 아들 요아스가 죽은 후에도 유다 왕 요아스의 아들 아마샤가 십 오년을 생존하였더라
26 Now the rest of the acts of Amaziah, first and last, behold, are they not written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel?[x]MKJV: And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, first and last, behold, [are] they not written in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel? 27 Now after the time that Amaziah did turn away from following the LORD they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but they sent to Lachishafter him, and slew him there.[x]MKJV: And after the time that Amaziah turned away from following the LORD, they made a plot against him in Jerusalem. And he fled to Lachish. But they sent to Lachish after him and killed him there. BBE: Now from the time when Amaziah gave up worshipping the Lord, they made secret designs against him in Jerusalem; and he went in flight to Lachish: but they sent to Lachish after him and put him to death there. KAV: ¶ 이제 아마샤가 {주}를 따르는 일에서 돌이킨 이후에 그들이 예루살렘에서 그를 대적하여 음모를 꾸몄으므로 그가 라기스로 도망하였으나 그들이 그를 따라 라기스로 사람을 보내어 그를 거기서 죽이고
27 Now from the time when Amaziah gave up worshipping the Lord, they made secret designs against him in Jerusalem; and he went in flight to Lachish: but they sent to Lachish after him and put him to death there.
27 아마샤가 돌이켜 여호와를 버린 후로부터 예루살렘에서 무리가 저를 모반한고로 저가 라기스로 도망하였더니 모반한 무리가 사람을 라기스로 따라 보내어 저를 거기서 죽이게 하고
28 And they brought him upon horses, and buried him with his fathers in the city of Judah.[x]MKJV: And they brought him on horses and buried him with his fathers in the city of Judah. BBE: And they took his body on horseback and put it into the earth with his fathers in the town of David. KAV: 그를 말에 실어다가 그의 조상들과 함께 유다의 도시에 묻었더라.
