3 And all the congregationmade a covenant with the king in the house of God. 3 And all the people made an agreement with the king in the house of God. And he said to them, Truly, the king's son will be king, as the Lord has said about the sons of David.
3 온 회중이 하나님의 전에서 왕과 언약을 세우매 여호야다가 무리에게 이르되 여호와께서 다윗의 자손에게 대하여 말씀하신대로 왕자가 즉위하여야 할찌니
4 This is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall beporters of the doors;[x]MKJV: This [is] the thing that you shall do. A third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, [shall be] keepers of the doors. BBE: This is what you are to do: let a third of you, of the priests and Levites, who come in on the Sabbath, keep the doors; KAV: 너희가 행할 일은 이러하니라. 제사장들과 레위 사람들 중에서 곧 너희 중에서 안식일에 들어가는 자들의 삼분의 일은 문지기가 되라.
4 This is what you are to do: let a third of you, of the priests and Levites, who come in on the Sabbath, keep the doors;
4 이제 너희는 이와 같이 행하라 너희 제사장과 레위 사람 곧 안식일에 입번한 자의 삼분 일은 문을 지키고
5 And a third partshall be at the king'shouse; and a third part at the gate of the foundation: and all the peopleshall be in the courts of the house of the LORD.[x]MKJV: And a third part [shall be] at the king's house. 5 And a third are to be stationed at the king's house; and a third at the doorway of the horses: while all the people are waiting in the open spaces round the house of the Lord.
5 삼분 일은 왕궁에 있고 삼분 일은 기초문에 있고 백성들은 여호와의 전 뜰에 있을찌라
6 But let none come into the house of the LORD, save the priests, and they that minister of the Levites; they shall go in, for they areholy: but all the people shall keep the watch of the LORD.[x]MKJV: But let none come into the house of the LORD except the priests, and those of the Levites who minister. They shall go in, for they [are] holy. But all the people shall keep the watch of the LORD. 6 But let no one come into the house of the Lord but only the priests and those of the Levites who have work to do there; they may go in for they are holy; but the rest of the people are to keep the orders of the Lord.
6 제사장과 수종드는 레위 사람은 거룩한즉 여호와의 전에 들어오려니와 그 외의 다른 사람은 들어오지 못할 것이니 모든 백성은 여호와의 명하신바를 지킬찌며
7 And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and whosoever elsecometh into the house, he shall be put to death: but be ye with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out.[x]MKJV: And the Levites shall surround the king, each man with his weapons in his hand. And whoever comes into the house, he shall be put to death. But you be with the king when he comes in and when he goes out. 7 And the Levites are to make a circle round the king, every man being armed; and any man who comes into the house is to be put to death; you are to keep with the king when he comes in and when he goes out.
7 레위 사람은 각각 손에 병기를 잡고 왕을 호위하며 다른 사람이 전에 들어 오거든 죽이고 왕의 출입할 때에 시위할찌니라
8 So the Levites and all Judahdid according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that were to goout on the sabbath: for Jehoiada the priestdismissed not the courses.[x]MKJV: And the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded. And every man took his men who were to come in on the sabbath, with the ones who were to go [out] on the sabbath. For Jehoiada the priest did not dismiss the divisions. 8 So the Levites and all Judah did as Jehoiada the priest had given them orders: every one took with him his men, those who were to come in and those who were to go out on the Sabbath; for Jehoiada had not sent away the divisions.
8 레위 사람과 유다 무리가 제사장 여호야다의 모든 명한 바를 준행하여 각기 수하의 안식일에 입번할 자와 안식일에 출번할 자를 거느리고 있으니 이는 제사장 여호야다가 출번하는 자를 보내지 아니함이더라
9 Moreover Jehoiada the priestdelivered to the captains of hundredsspears, and bucklers, and shields, that had beenkingDavid's, which were in the house of God.[x]MKJV: And Jehoiada the priest delivered to the commanders of hundreds king David's spears and bucklers and shields, which [were] in the house of God. BBE: Then Jehoiada the priest gave to the captains of hundreds the spears and body-covers which had been King David's and which were kept in the house of God. 9 Then Jehoiada the priest gave to the captains of hundreds the spears and body-covers which had been King David's and which were kept in the house of God.

10 And he set all the people, every man having his weapon in his hand, from the rightside of the temple to the leftside of the temple, along by the altar and the temple, by the king round about.[x]MKJV: And he set all the people, each man having his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the temple, along by the altar and the temple, by the king round about. 10 And he put all the people in position, every man with his instruments of war in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left, by the altar and the house and all round the king.
10 또 백성들로 각각 손에 병기를 잡고 왕을 호위하되 전 우편에서부터 전 좌편까지 단과 전 곁에 서게 하고
11 Then they brought out the king'sson, and put upon him the crown, and gave him the testimony, and made him king. And Jehoiada and his sonsanointed him, and said, God save the king.[x]MKJV: And they brought out the king's son and put the crown on him, and [gave him] the testimony, and made him king. And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him and said, Let the king live! BBE: Then they made the king's son come out, and they put the crown on his head and gave him the arm-bands and made him king: and Jehoiada and his sons put the holy oil on him and said, Long life to the king. KAV: 그때에 그들이 왕의 아들을 데리고 나와 그에게 왕관을 씌우며 증언 책을 주고 그를 왕으로 삼을 때에 여호야댜와 그의 아들들이 그에게 기름을 붓고 이르기를, 국왕 폐하 만세, 하니라.
11 Then they made the king's son come out, and they put the crown on his head and gave him the arm-bands and made him king: and Jehoiada and his sons put the holy oil on him and said, Long life to the king.
11 무리가 왕자를 인도하여 내어 면류관을 씌우며 율법 책을 주고 세워 왕을 삼을쌔 여호야다와 그 아들들이 저에게 기름을 붓고 모두 왕의 만세를 부르니라
12 Now when Athaliahheard the noise of the peoplerunning and praising the king, she came to the people into the house of the LORD:[x]MKJV: And Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and praising the king, and she came to the people into the house of the LORD. 13 And she looked, and, behold, the kingstood at his pillar at the entering in, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the landrejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of music, and such as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliahrent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.[x]MKJV: And she looked, and behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entrance, and the rulers and the trumpets by the king. And all the people of the land [were] rejoicing and sounding with trumpets, and the singers with instruments of music, and giving signals to praise. And Athaliah tore her clothes and cried, Treason! Treason! BBE: And looking, she saw the king in his place by the pillar at the doorway, and the captains and the horns by his side; and all the people of the land were giving signs of joy and sounding the horns; and the makers of melody were playing on instruments of music, taking the chief part in the song of praise. Then Athaliah, violently parting her robes, said, Broken faith, broken faith! KAV: 보매, 보라, 왕이 입구에 있는 자기 기둥 옆에 섰고 통치자들과 나팔 부는 자들이 왕 옆에 섰으며 그 땅의 온 백성이 기뻐하여 나팔을 불고 또 노래하는 자들 곧 노래로 찬양하는 것을 배운 자들은 악기로 연주하니라. 그때에 아달랴가 옷을 찢으며 이르되, 반역이로다. 반역이로다, 하매
13 And looking, she saw the king in his place by the pillar at the doorway, and the captains and the horns by his side; and all the people of the land were giving signs of joy and sounding the horns; and the makers of melody were playing on instruments of music, taking the chief part in the song of praise. Then Athaliah, violently parting her robes, said, Broken faith, broken faith!
13 보매 왕이 전 문 기둥 곁에 섰고 장관들과 나팔수가 왕의 곁에 모셨으며 국민들이 즐거워하여 나팔을 불며 노래하는 자는 주악하며 찬송을 인도하는지라 이에 아달랴가 옷을 찢으며 외치되 반역이로다 반역이로다 하매
14 Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth of the rangesㆍ: and whoso followethㆍ her, let him be slain with the sword. For the priestsaid, Slay her not in the house of the LORD.[x]MKJV: And Jehoiada the priest brought out the commanders of hundreds who were set over the army, and said to them, Take her out of the ranks. And whoever follows her shall be killed with the sword. For the priest said, Do not kill her [in the house of the LORD. BBE: Then Jehoiada the priest gave orders to the captains of hundreds who had authority over the army, saying, Take her outside the lines, and let anyone who goes after her be put to death with the sword. For the priest said, Let her not be put to death in the house of the Lord. KAV: 그때에 제사장 여호야다가 군대 위에 세운 백인 대장들을 데려다가 그들에게 이르되, 그녀를 구역 밖으로 몰아내고 누구든지 그녀를 따르는 자는 칼로 죽이라, 하였으니 그 제사장이 말하기를, {주}의 집에서는 그녀를 죽이지 말라, 하였더라.
14 Then Jehoiada the priest gave orders to the captains of hundreds who had authority over the army, saying, Take her outside the lines, and let anyone who goes after her be put to death with the sword. For the priest said, Let her not be put to death in the house of the Lord.
14 제사장 여호야다가 군대를 거느린 백부장들을 불러내어 명하여 가로되 반렬 밖으로 몰아내라 무릇 저를 따르는 자는 칼로 죽이라 하니 제사장의 이 말은 여호와의 전에서는 저를 죽이지 말라 함이라
15 So they laidhands on her; and when she was come to the entering of the horsegate by the king'shouse, they slew her there.[x]MKJV: And they laid hands on her; and she came to the entrance of the Gate of the Horses, beside the king's house, and they executed her there. BBE: So they put their hands on her, and she went to the king's house by the doorway of the king's horses; and there she was put to death. And they killed Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. BBE: Then all the people went to the house of Baal and had it pulled down, and its altars and images broken up; and Mattan, the priest of Baal, they put to death before the altars. KAV: 그때에 온 백성이 바알의 집으로 가서 그 집을 허물고 그의 제단들과 형상들을 산산조각 내며 제단들 앞에서 바알의 제사장 맛단을 죽이니라.
17 Then all the people went to the house of Baal and had it pulled down, and its altars and images broken up; and Mattan, the priest of Baal, they put to death before the altars.
17 온 국민이 바알의 당으로 가서 그 당을 훼파하고 그 단들과 우상들을 깨뜨리고 그 단 앞에서 바알의 제사장 맛단을 죽이니라
18 Also Jehoiadaappointed the offices of the house of the LORD by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as it iswritten in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as it was ordainedbyDavid.[x]MKJV: And Jehoiada chose the officers of the house of the LORD by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as [ it is] written in the law of Moses, with joy and with singing, by the hands of David. 18 And Jehoiada put the work and the care of the house of the Lord into the hands of the priests and the Levites, who had been grouped in divisions by David to make burned offerings to the Lord, as it is recorded in the law of Moses, with joy and song as David had said.

19 And he set the porters at the gates of the house of the LORD, that none which wasunclean in any thing should enter in.[x]MKJV: And he set the gatekeepers at the gates of the house of the LORD, so that the unclean in any way could not go in. BBE: And he put door-keepers at the doors of the Lord's house, to see that no one who was unclean in any way might come in. KAV: 또 그가 문지기들을 {주}의 집의 문들에 두어 무슨 일에서든지 부정한 자는 들어오지 못하게 하며

And they came through the Upper Gate into the king's house, and set the king on the throne of the kingdom. BBE: Then he took the captains of hundreds and the chiefs and the rulers of the people and all the people of the land, and they came down with the king from the house of the Lord through the higher doorway into the king's house, and put the king on the seat of the kingdom. KAV: 백인 대장들과 귀족들과 백성을 다스리는 자들과 그 땅의 온 백성을 거느리고 {주}의 집에서부터 왕을 모시고 내려오니라. 그들이 높은 문을 통해 들어와 왕의 집에 이르러 왕을 왕국의 왕좌에 앉히매
20 Then he took the captains of hundreds and the chiefs and the rulers of the people and all the people of the land, and they came down with the king from the house of the Lord through the higher doorway into the king's house, and put the king on the seat of the kingdom.
20 백부장들과 존귀한 자들과 백성의 방백들과 온 국민을 거느리고 왕을 인도하여 여호와의 전에서 내려와서 윗문으로 좇아 왕궁에 이르러 왕을 나라 보좌에 앉히매
21 And all the people of the landrejoiced: and the city was quiet, after that they had slainAthaliah with the sword.[x]MKJV: And all the people of the land rejoiced. And the city was quiet after they had killed Athaliah with the sword. BBE: So all the people of the land were glad and the town was quiet, for they had put Athaliah to death with the sword.
