1 And Solomondetermined to build an house for the name of the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.[x]MKJV: And Solomon purposed to build a house for the name of the LORD, and a house for his kingdom. BBE: Now it was Solomon's purpose to put up a house for the name of the Lord and a house for himself as king. KAV: 솔로몬이 {주}의 이름을 위해 집을 건축하고 자기의 왕권을 위해 집을 건축할 것을 결심하니라.
1 Now it was Solomon's purpose to put up a house for the name of the Lord and a house for himself as king.
1 솔로몬이 여호와의 이름을 위하여 전을 건축하고 자기 권영을 위하여 궁궐 건축하기를 결심하니라
2 And Solomon told out threescore and tenthousandmen to bear burdens, and fourscorethousandtohew in the mountain, and threethousand and sixhundred to oversee them.[x]MKJV: And Solomon counted out seventy thousand men to bear burdens, and eighty thousand as cutters in the mountains, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them. BBE: And Solomon had seventy thousand men numbered for transport, and eighty thousand for cutting stone in the mountains, and three thousand, six hundred as overseers. KAV: 솔로몬이 짐 나르는 자 칠만 명과 산에서 돌 다듬는 자 팔만 명과 그들을 감독할 자 삼천육백 명을 뽑으니라.
2 And Solomon had seventy thousand men numbered for transport, and eighty thousand for cutting stone in the mountains, and three thousand, six hundred as overseers.
2 솔로몬이 이에 담군 칠만과 산에 올라 작벌할 자 팔만과 일을 감독할 자 삼천 육백을 뽑고
3 And Solomonsent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him an house to dwell therein, even so deal with me.[x]MKJV: And Solomon sent to Hiram the king of Tyre, saying, As you dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build him a house to dwell in, [so deal with me.] BBE: And Solomon sent to Huram, king of Tyre, saying, As you did for my father David, sending him cedar-trees for the building of his house, KAV: ¶ 솔로몬이 두로 왕 후람에게 사람을 보내어 이르되, 당신이 전에 내 아버지 다윗과 관계를 맺고 그에게 백향목을 보내어 그를 위해 거할 집을 건축하게 한 것 같이 내게도 그리하소서.
3 And Solomon sent to Huram, king of Tyre, saying, As you did for my father David, sending him cedar-trees for the building of his house,
3 사자를 두로 왕 후람에게 보내어 이르되 당신이 전에 내 부친 다윗에게 백향목을 보내어 그 거할 궁궐을 건축하게 한 것 같이 내게도 그리하소서
4 Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicateit to him, and to burnbefore him sweetincense, and for the continualshowbread, and for the burnt offeringsmorning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.[x]MKJV: Behold, I am building a house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate [it] to Him, and to burn before Him sweet incense, and for the continual showbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. 4 See! I am building a house for the name of the Lord my God, to be made holy to him, where perfumes of sweet spices will be burned before him, and the holy bread will be placed at all times, and burned offerings will be offered morning and evening, on the Sabbaths and at the new moons, and on the regular feasts of the Lord our God. This is a law for ever to Israel.
4 이제 내가 나의 하나님 여호와의 이름을 위하여 전을 건축하여 구별하여 드리고 주 앞에서 향 재료를 사르며 항상 떡을 진설하며 안식일과 초하루와 우리 하나님 여호와의 절기에 조석으로 번제를 드리려 하니 이는 이스라엘의 영원한 규례니이다
5 And the house which I buildisgreat: for greatis our God above all gods.[x]MKJV: And the house which I am building [is] great. For our God is great above all gods. BBE: And the house which I am building is to be great, for our God is greater than all gods. KAV: 내가 건축하는 집은 크니 우리 [하나님]은 모든 신보다 위대하시나이다.

6 But who is ableㆍ to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrificebefore him?[x]MKJV: But who is able to build Him a house, since the heavens and heaven of the heavens cannot contain Him? Who [am] I then, that I should build Him a house, except only to burn sacrifice before Him? BBE: But who may have strength enough to make a house for him, seeing that the heaven and the heaven of heavens are not wide enough to be his resting-place? who am I then to make a house for him? But I am building it only for the burning of perfume before him. KAV: 그러나 하늘과 하늘들의 하늘이라도 그분을 품지 못하겠거늘 누가 능히 그분을 위해 집을 건축하리요? 그런즉 내가 누구이기에 능히 그분을 위해 집을 건축하리요? 오직 그분 앞에 희생물을 태우려 할 따름이니이다.
6 But who may have strength enough to make a house for him, seeing that the heaven and the heaven of heavens are not wide enough to be his resting-place? who am I then to make a house for him? But I am building it only for the burning of perfume before him.
6 누가 능히 하나님을 위하여 전을 건축하리요 하늘과 하늘들의 하늘이라도 주를 용납지 못하겠거든 내가 누구관대 어찌 능히 위하여 전을 건축하리요 그 앞에 분향하려 할 따름이니이다
7Send me now therefore a mancunning to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to graveㆍ with the cunning men that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide.[x]MKJV: And now send me a man skillful to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and one who is skillful to engrave with the skillful men who [are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father provided. BBE: So now send me an expert worker in gold and silver and brass and iron? in purple and red and blue, and in the cutting of all sorts of ornament, to be with the expert workmen who are here in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom my father David got together. KAV: 그러므로 이제 당신은 금과 은과 놋과 쇠와 자주색과 진홍색과 청색 실로 일하는 재주 있는 사람 하나를 내게로 보내어 내 아버지 다윗이 예비한 자들 곧 나와 함께 유다와 예루살렘에 있는 재주 있는 사람들과 함께 새기는 일을 하게 하고
7 So now send me an expert worker in gold and silver and brass and iron? in purple and red and blue, and in the cutting of all sorts of ornament, to be with the expert workmen who are here in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom my father David got together.
7 이제 청컨대 당신은 금, 은, 동, 철로 제조하며 자색 홍색 청색실로 직조하며 또 아로새길줄 아는 공교한 공장 하나를 내게 보내어 내 부친 다윗이 유다와 예루살렘에서 예비한 나의 공교한 공장과 함께 일하게 하고
8Send me also cedartrees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that thy servants can skill to cuttimber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servantsshall be with thy servants,[x]MKJV: And send me cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees out of Lebanon. For I know that your servants are skillful to cut timber in Lebanon. And, behold, my servants [shall be] with your servants BBE: And send me cedar-trees, cypress-trees and sandal-wood from Lebanon, for, to my knowledge, your servants are expert wood-cutters in Lebanon; and my servants will be with yours, KAV: 또 레바논에서 백향목과 전나무와 백단목도 내게로 보내소서. 내가 알거니와 당신의 종들은 레바논에서 나무를 잘 벨 수 있나이다. 보소서, 내 종들이 당신의 종들과 함께하리니
8 And send me cedar-trees, cypress-trees and sandal-wood from Lebanon, for, to my knowledge, your servants are expert wood-cutters in Lebanon; and my servants will be with yours,
8 또 레바논에서 백향목과 잣나무와 백단목을 내게로 보내소서 내가 알거니와 당신의 종은 레바논에서 벌목을 잘하나니 내 종이 당신의 종을 도울찌라
9 Even to prepare me timber in abundance: for the house which I am about to buildshall bewonderfulgreat.[x]MKJV: in order to prepare plenty of timber for me. For the house which I am about to build shall be great and wonderful. BBE: To get trees for me in great numbers, for the house which I am building is to be great and a wonder. KAV: 이것은 곧 나를 위해 재목을 많이 예비하게 하려 함이니이다. 내가 건축하려 하는 집은 놀랍게 크리이다.

9 이와 같이 나를 위하여 재목을 많이 예비하게 하소서 내가 건축하려 하는 전은 크고 화려할 것이니이다
10 And, behold, I will give to thy servants, the hewers that cuttimber, twentythousandmeasures of beatenwheat, and twentythousandmeasures of barley, and twentythousandbaths of wine, and twentythousandbaths of oil.[x]MKJV: And behold, I will give to the hewers, those who cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil. BBE: And I will give as food to your servants, the wood-cutters, twenty thousand measures of grain, and twenty thousand measures of barley and twenty thousand measures of wine and twenty thousand measures of oil. KAV: 보소서, 내가 당신의 종들 곧 나무 베는 자들에게 찧은 밀 이만 고르와 보리 이만 고르와 포도즙 이만 바스와 기름 이만 바스를 주리이다, 하였더라.
10 And I will give as food to your servants, the wood-cutters, twenty thousand measures of grain, and twenty thousand measures of barley and twenty thousand measures of wine and twenty thousand measures of oil.
11 Then Huram the king of Tyreanswered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the LORD hath loved his people, he hath made thee king over them.[x]MKJV: And Hiram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the LORD has loved His people, He has made you king over them. BBE: Then Huram, king of Tyre, sent Solomon an answer in writing, saying, Because of his love for his people the Lord has made you king over them. KAV: ¶ 이에 두로 왕 후람이 글을 써서 솔로몬에게 응답하되, {주}께서 자신의 백성을 사랑하셨으므로 당신을 그들을 다스릴 왕으로 삼으셨도다, 하고
11 Then Huram, king of Tyre, sent Solomon an answer in writing, saying, Because of his love for his people the Lord has made you king over them.
11 두로 왕 후람이 솔로몬에게 답장하여 가로되 여호와께서 그 백성을 사랑하시므로 당신을 세워 그 왕을 삼으셨도다
12Huramsaid moreover, Blessedbe the LORDGod of Israel, that madeheaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wiseson, endued with prudence and understanding, that might build an house for the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.[x]MKJV: And Hiram said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son blessed with judgment and understanding, who might build a house for the LORD and a house for his kingdom. BBE: And Huram said, Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, maker of heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, full of wisdom and good sense, to be the builder of a house for the Lord and a house for himself as king. KAV: 또 후람이 이르되, 하늘과 땅을 만드신 {주} 이스라엘의 [하나님]을 찬송할지로다. 그분께서 다윗 왕에게 분별과 명철이 있는 지혜로운 아들을 주사 그가 {주}를 위해 집을 건축하고 또 자기 왕권을 위해 집을 건축하게 하시는도다.
12 And Huram said, Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, maker of heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, full of wisdom and good sense, to be the builder of a house for the Lord and a house for himself as king.
12 또 가로되 천지를 지으신 이스라엘 하나님 여호와는 송축을 받으실찌로다 다윗왕에게 지혜로운 아들을 주시고 명철과 총명을 품부하시사 능히 여호와를 위하여 전을 건축하고 자기 권영을 위하여 궁궐을 건축하게 하시도다
13 And now I have sent a cunningman, endued with understanding, of Huram my father's,[x]MKJV: And now I have sent a skillful man blessed with understanding, of Hiram my father, BBE: And now I am sending you a wise and expert man, Huram who is as my father, KAV: 내가 이제 명철이 있고 재주가 많은 사람 후람을 보내었는데 그는 내 아버지에게 속하였던 자니이다.
13 And now I am sending you a wise and expert man, Huram who is as my father,
13 내가 이제 공교하고 총명한 사람을 보내오니 전에 내 부친 후람에게 속하였던 자라
14 The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his fatherwas a man of Tyre, skilful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson; also to grave any manner of graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lordDavid thy father.[x]MKJV: the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father [was] a man of Tyre, skillful to work in gold, and in silver, in bronze, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson. He also can engrave any kind of engraving, and can invent every device which shall be put to him, with your skillful men, and with the skillful men of my lord David your father. BBE: The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, whose father was a man of Tyre, an expert worker in gold and silver and brass and iron, in stone and wood, in purple and blue and fair linen and red, trained in the cutting of every sort of ornament and the invention of every sort of design; let him be given a place among your expert workmen and those of my lord, your father David. 14 The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, whose father was a man of Tyre, an expert worker in gold and silver and brass and iron, in stone and wood, in purple and blue and fair linen and red, trained in the cutting of every sort of ornament and the invention of every sort of design; let him be given a place among your expert workmen and those of my lord, your father David.
14 이 사람은 단의 여자 중 한 여인의 아들이요 그 아비는 두로 사람이라 능히 금, 은, 동, 철과 돌과 나무와 자색 청색 홍색실과 가는 베로 일을 잘하며 또 모든 아로새기는 일에 익숙하고 모든 기묘한 식양에 능한 자니 당신의 공교한 공장과 당신의 부친 내 주 다윗의 공교한 공장과 함께 일하게 하소서
15 Now therefore the wheat, and the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord hath spoken of, let him send unto his servants:[x]MKJV: And now the wheat, and the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord has spoken of, let him send to his servants. BBE: So now let my lord send to his servants the grain and the oil and the wine as my lord has said; KAV: 그런즉 이제 내 주께서 말씀하신 밀과 보리와 기름과 포도즙을 주의 종들에게 보내소서.
15 So now let my lord send to his servants the grain and the oil and the wine as my lord has said;
15 내 주의 말씀하신 밀과 보리와 기름과 포도주는 주의 종들에게 보내소서
16 And we will cutwood out of Lebanon, as much as thou shalt need: and we will bring it to thee in floats by sea to Joppa; and thou shalt carry it up to Jerusalem.[x]MKJV: And we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as you shall need. And we will bring it to you in floats by sea to Joppa. And you shall carry it up to Jerusalem. BBE: And we will have wood cut from Lebanon, as much as you have need of, and will send it to you on flat boats by sea to Joppa, and from there you may take it up to Jerusalem. KAV: 우리가 레바논에서 당신이 필요로 하는 만큼 나무를 베어 뗏목으로 바다에 띄워 욥바로 보내리니 당신은 그것을 예루살렘으로 올려가소서, 하였더라.
16 And we will have wood cut from Lebanon, as much as you have need of, and will send it to you on flat boats by sea to Joppa, and from there you may take it up to Jerusalem.

17 And Solomonnumbered all the strangersthatwere in the land of Israel, after the numbering wherewith David his father had numbered them; and they were found an hundred and fiftythousand and threethousand and sixhundred.[x]MKJV: And Solomon numbered all the aliens in the land of Israel, according to the numbering with which David his father had numbered them. And they [were] found to be a hundred and fifty-three thousand and six hundred. BBE: Then Solomon took the number of all the men from strange lands who were living in Israel, as his father David had done; there were a hundred and fifty-three thousand, six hundred. KAV: ¶ 전에 솔로몬의 아버지 다윗이 이스라엘 땅에 있던 모든 타국인들의 수를 센 것과 같이 솔로몬이 그들의 수를 세매 그들이 십오만 삼천육백 명으로 드러나니라.
17 Then Solomon took the number of all the men from strange lands who were living in Israel, as his father David had done; there were a hundred and fifty-three thousand, six hundred.
17 전에 솔로몬의 부친 다윗이 이스라엘 땅에 거한 이방 사람을 조사하였더니 이제 솔로몬이 다시 조사하매 모두 십 오만 삼천 육백인이라

18 Seventy thousand he put to the work of transport, eighty thousand to cutting stone in the mountains, and three thousand, six hundred as overseers to put the people to work.
18 그 중에 칠만인은 담군이 되게 하였고 팔만인은 산에서 벌목하게 하였고 삼천 육백인은 감독을 삼아 백성들에게 일을 시키게 하였더라
