1 And Jehoshaphat the king of Judahreturned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.[x]MKJV: And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem. BBE: And Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, went back to his house in Jerusalem in peace. KAV: 유다 왕 여호사밧이 평안히 예루살렘에 돌아와서 자기 집에 이르니라.
1 And Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, went back to his house in Jerusalem in peace.
1 유다 왕 여호사밧이 평안히 예루살렘에 돌아와서 그 궁으로 들어가니라
2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to kingJehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? thereforeiswrath upon thee from before the LORD.[x]MKJV: And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him. And he said to king Jehoshaphat, Should you help the ungodly and love those who hate the LORD? And by this [bring] wrath on you from before the LORD. BBE: And Jehu, the son of Hanani the seer, went to King Jehoshaphat and said to him, Is it right for you to go to the help of evil-doers, loving the haters of the Lord? because of this, the wrath of the Lord has come on you. KAV: 하나니의 아들 선견자 예후가 여호사밧 왕을 맞으러 나가서 그에게 이르되, 왕이 경건치 아니한 자들을 돕고 {주}를 미워하는 자들을 사랑하셔야 하겠나이까? 그러므로 {주} 앞으로부터 진노가 왕에게 임하리이다.
2 And Jehu, the son of Hanani the seer, went to King Jehoshaphat and said to him, Is it right for you to go to the help of evil-doers, loving the haters of the Lord? because of this, the wrath of the Lord has come on you.
2 하나니의 아들 선견자 예후가 나가서 여호사밧 왕을 맞아 가로되 왕이 악한 자를 돕고 여호와를 미워하는 자를 사랑하는 것이 가하니이까 그러므로 여호와께로서 진노하심이 왕에게 임하리이다
3Nevertheless there are goodthingsfound in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seekGod.[x]MKJV: But there are good things found in you, in that you have taken away the Asherahs out of the land and have prepared your heart to seek God. BBE: But still there is some good in you, for you have put away the wood pillars out of the land, and have given your heart to the worship of God. KAV: 그럼에도 불구하고 왕에게서 선한 일들도 발견되었으니 곧 왕이 작은 숲들을 땅에서 제거하고 마음을 예비하여 [하나님]을 구하였나이다, 하였더라.
3 But still there is some good in you, for you have put away the wood pillars out of the land, and have given your heart to the worship of God.
3 그러나 왕에게 선한 일도 있으니 이는 왕이 아세라 목상들을 이 땅에서 없이하고 마음을 오로지하여 하나님을 찾음이니이다 하였더라
4 And Jehoshaphatdwelt at Jerusalem: and he went outagain through the people from Beersheba to mountEphraim, and brought them back unto the LORDGod of their fathers.[x]MKJV: And Jehoshaphat lived at Jerusalem. And he went out again among the people from Beer-sheba to mount Ephraim, and brought them back to the LORD God of their fathers. BBE: And Jehoshaphat was living in Jerusalem; and he went out again among the people, from Beer-sheba to the hill-country of Ephraim, guiding them back to the Lord, the God of their fathers. KAV: 여호사밧이 예루살렘에 거하다가 다시 나가서 브엘세바에서부터 에브라임 산에 이르기까지 백성 가운데 두루 다니며 그들을 {주} 곧 그들의 조상들의 [하나님]께로 돌아오게 하니라.
4 And Jehoshaphat was living in Jerusalem; and he went out again among the people, from Beer-sheba to the hill-country of Ephraim, guiding them back to the Lord, the God of their fathers.
4 여호사밧이 예루살렘에 거하더니 나가서 브엘세바에서부터 에브라임 산지까지 민간에 순행하며 저희를 그 열조의 하나님 여호와께로 돌아오게 하고
5 And he setjudges in the land throughout all the fencedcities of Judah, city by city,[x]MKJV: And he set judges in the land, in all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city. BBE: And he put judges through all the land, in every walled town of Judah, KAV: ¶ 또 그가 유다의 성벽을 두른 모든 도시에 재판관들을 세우되 도시마다 그리하고
5 And he put judges through all the land, in every walled town of Judah,
5 또 유다 온 나라 견고한 성에 재판관을 세우되 성마다 있게 하고
6 And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.[x]MKJV: And he said to the judges, Take heed what you do. For you do not judge for man, but for the LORD, who [is] with you in the judgment. BBE: And said to the judges, Take care what you do, for you are judging not for man but for the Lord, and he is with you in the decisions you give. KAV: 재판관들에게 이르되, 너희가 행하는 바를 조심하라. 너희가 사람을 위해 재판하지 아니하고 {주}를 위해 하나니 너희가 재판할 때에 그분께서 너희와 함께 계시느니라.
6 And said to the judges, Take care what you do, for you are judging not for man but for the Lord, and he is with you in the decisions you give.
6 재판관에게 이르되 너희는 행하는 바를 삼가하라 너희의 재판하는 것이 사람을 위함이 아니요 여호와를 위함이니 너희가 재판할 때에 여호와께서 너희와 함께하실지라
7 Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and doit: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.[x]MKJV: And now let the fear of the LORD be on you. Be careful and act wisely, for [there is] no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts. BBE: So now let the fear of the Lord be in you; do your work with care; for in the Lord our God there is no evil, or respect for high position, or taking of payment to do wrong. KAV: 그런즉 이제 {주}의 두려움을 너희 위에 두고 조심하여 그 일을 행하라. {주} 우리 [하나님]께는 불법도 없고 사람을 외모로 취하는 것도 없으며 뇌물을 받는 것도 없느니라, 하니라.
7 So now let the fear of the Lord be in you; do your work with care; for in the Lord our God there is no evil, or respect for high position, or taking of payment to do wrong.
7 그런즉 너희는 여호와를 두려워하는 마음으로 삼가 행하라 우리의 하나님 여호와께서는 불의함도 없으시고 편벽됨도 없으시고 뇌물을 받으심도 없으시니라
8 Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphatset of the Levites, and of the priests, and of the chief of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies, when they returned to Jerusalem.[x]MKJV: And Jehoshaphat set some of the Levites and [of] the priests and of the chief of the fathers of Israel in Jerusalem for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies, when they returned to Jerusalem. BBE: Then in Jerusalem he gave authority to certain of the Levites and the priests and the heads of families of Israel to give decisions for the Lord, and in the causes of those living in Jerusalem. KAV: ¶ 그들이 예루살렘으로 되돌아올 때에 여호사밧이 또한 예루살렘에서 레위 사람들과 제사장들과 이스라엘의 아버지들의 우두머리들 중에서 사람들을 세워 {주}의 재판을 행하게 하며 분쟁들을 다루게 하고
8 Then in Jerusalem he gave authority to certain of the Levites and the priests and the heads of families of Israel to give decisions for the Lord, and in the causes of those living in Jerusalem.
8 여호사밧이 또 예루살렘에서 레위 사람과 제사장과 이스라엘 족장 중에서 사람을 세워 여호와께 속한 일과 예루살렘 거민의 모든 송사를 재판하게 하고
9 And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfectheart.[x]MKJV: And he charged them, saying, And you shall act in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart. BBE: And he gave them their orders, saying, You are to do your work in the fear of the Lord, in good faith and with a true heart. KAV: 또 그들에게 명하여 이르되, 너희는 {주}를 두려워하며 신실하고 완전한 마음으로 이와 같이 행할지니라.
9 And he gave them their orders, saying, You are to do your work in the fear of the Lord, in good faith and with a true heart.
9 저희에게 명하여 가로되 너희는 여호와를 경외하고 충의와 성심으로 이 일을 행하라
10 And what cause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall even warn them that they trespass not against the LORD, and sowrath come upon you, and upon your brethren: thisdo, and ye shall not trespass.[x]MKJV: And whatever cause shall come to you from your brothers that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, you shall even warn them so that they do not sin against the LORD, and wrath come on you and your brothers. Do this and you shall not sin. BBE: And if any cause comes before you from your brothers living in their towns, where the death punishment is in question, or where there are questions of law or order, or rules or decisions, make them take care that they are not in the wrong before the Lord, so that wrath may not come on you and on your brothers; do this and you yourselves will not be in the wrong. KAV: 자기 도시에 거하고 있는 너희 형제들로부터 피와 피 사이에서 혹은 율법과 명령 및 법규와 법도 사이에서 무슨 사정이든지 너희에게 이르거든 너희는 그들에게 경고하여 그들이 {주}께 범법을 행하지 않게 하고 이로써 너희와 너희 형제들에게 진노가 임하지 않게 하라. 이것을 행하면 너희가 범법하지 아니하리라.
10 And if any cause comes before you from your brothers living in their towns, where the death punishment is in question, or where there are questions of law or order, or rules or decisions, make them take care that they are not in the wrong before the Lord, so that wrath may not come on you and on your brothers; do this and you yourselves will not be in the wrong.
10 무릇 어느 성읍에 거한 너희 형제가 혹 피를 흘림이나 혹 율법이나 계명이나 율례나 규례를 인하여 너희에게 와서 송사하거든 저희를 경계하여 여호와께 죄를 얻지 않게 하여 너희와 너희 형제에게 진노하심이 임하지 말게 하라 너희가 이렇게 행하면 죄가 없으리라
11 And, behold, Amariah the chiefpriestis over you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all the king'smatters: also the Levitesshall beofficersbefore you. Dealcourageously, and the LORD shall be with the good.[x]MKJV: And behold, Amariah the chief priest [is] over you in all matters of the LORD. And Zebadiah the son of Ishmael is the ruler of the house of Judah for all the king's matters. Also the Levites shall be] officers before you. Take courage and act, and the LORD shall be with the good. BBE: And now, Amariah, the chief priest, is over you in all questions to do with the Lord; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the head of the family of Judah, in everything to do with the king's business; and the Levites will be overseers for you. Be strong to do the work; and may the Lord be with the upright. KAV: 보라, {주}께 속한 모든 일에서는 수제사장 아마랴가 너희를 다스리고 왕에게 속한 모든 일을 위해서는 유다의 집 치리자 이스마엘의 아들 사바댜가 다스리며 또한 레위 사람들은 너희 앞에 관리들이 되리라. 용기 있게 행동하라. {주}께서 선한 자들과 함께하실지로다, 하니라.
11 And now, Amariah, the chief priest, is over you in all questions to do with the Lord; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the head of the family of Judah, in everything to do with the king's business; and the Levites will be overseers for you. Be strong to do the work; and may the Lord be with the upright.
11 여호와께 속한 모든 일에는 대제사장 아마랴가 너희를 다스리고 왕에게 속한 모든 일은 유다 지파의 어른 이스마엘의 아들 스바댜가 다스리고 레위 사람들은 너희 앞에 관리가 되리라 너희는 힘써 행하라 여호와께서 선한 자와 함께 하실찌로다 하니라
