1 In the six and thirtiethyear of the reign of AsaBaashaking of Israel came up against Judah, and builtRamah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asaking of Judah.[x]MKJV: In the thirty-sixth year of the reign of Asa, Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, so that he might let no one go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. BBE: In the thirty-sixth year of the rule of Asa, Baasha, king of Israel, went up against Judah, building Ramah so that no one was able to go out or in to Asa, king of Judah. KAV: 아사의 통치 제삼십육년에 이스라엘 왕 바아사가 유다를 치러 올라와서 아무도 유다 왕 아사에게로 들어가거나 나오지 못하게 할 목적으로 라마를 건축하였더라.
1 In the thirty-sixth year of the rule of Asa, Baasha, king of Israel, went up against Judah, building Ramah so that no one was able to go out or in to Asa, king of Judah.
1 아사왕 삼십 륙년에 이스라엘 왕 바아사가 유다를 치러 올라와서 라마를 건축하여 사람을 유다 왕 아사에게 왕래하지 못하게 하려 한지라
2 Then Asa brought outsilver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king'shouse, and sent to Benhadadking of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,[x]MKJV: And Asa brought out silver and gold from the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house and sent them to Ben-hadad king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying, BBE: Then Asa took silver and gold out of the stores of the Lord's house and of the king's store-house, and sent to Ben-hadad, king of Aram, at Damascus, saying, KAV: 이에 아사가 {주}의 집의 보고와 왕의 집의 보고에서 은과 금을 가져다가 다마스커스에 거하던 시리아 왕 벤하닷에게 보내며 이르되,
2 Then Asa took silver and gold out of the stores of the Lord's house and of the king's store-house, and sent to Ben-hadad, king of Aram, at Damascus, saying,
2 아사가 여호와의 전 곳간과 왕궁 곳간의 은금을 취하여 다메섹에 거한 아람 왕 벤하닷에게 보내며 가로되
3There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baashaking of Israel, that he may depart from me.[x]MKJV: A treaty between you and me, as [there was] between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent you silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, so that he may depart from me. BBE: Let there be an agreement between me and you as there was between my father and your father: see, I have sent you silver and gold; go and put an end to your agreement with Baasha, king of Israel, so that he may give up attacking me. KAV: 내 아버지와 당신의 아버지 사이에 맹약이 있었던 것 같이 나와 당신 사이에도 있느니라. 보라, 내가 당신에게 은과 금을 보내었으니 와서 이스라엘 왕 바아사와 맺은 당신의 맹약을 깨뜨려 그가 나를 떠나게 하라, 하매
3 Let there be an agreement between me and you as there was between my father and your father: see, I have sent you silver and gold; go and put an end to your agreement with Baasha, king of Israel, so that he may give up attacking me.
3 내 부친과 당신의 부친 사이에와 같이 나와 당신 사이에 약조하자 내가 당신에게 은금을 보내노니 와서 이스라엘 왕 바아사와 세운 약조를 깨뜨려서 저로 나를 떠나게 하라 하매
4 And Benhadadhearkened unto kingAsa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smoteIjon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and all the storecities of Naphtali.[x]MKJV: And Ben-hadad listened to king Asa, and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel. And they struck Ijon and Dan, and Abel-maim, and all the store cities of Naphtali. BBE: And Ben-hadad did as King Asa said, and sent the captains of his armies against the towns of Israel, attacking Ijon and Dan and Abel-maim, and all the store-towns of Naphtali. KAV: 벤하닷이 아사 왕의 말에 귀를 기울이고 이스라엘의 도시들을 치려고 자기 군대들의 대장들을 보내니 그들이 이욘과 단과 아벨마임과 납달리의 모든 저장 도시를 치니라.
4 And Ben-hadad did as King Asa said, and sent the captains of his armies against the towns of Israel, attacking Ijon and Dan and Abel-maim, and all the store-towns of Naphtali.
4 벤하닷이 아사왕의 말을 듣고 그 군대 장관들을 보내어 이스라엘 두어 성읍을 치되 이욘과 단과 아벨마임과 납달리의 모든 국고성을 쳤더니
5 And it came to pass, when Baashaheardit, that he left offbuilding of Ramah, and let his workcease.[x]MKJV: And it happened when Baasha heard, he left off building Ramah, and let his work stop. BBE: Then Baasha, hearing of it, put a stop to the building of Ramah, and let his work come to an end. KAV: 바아사가 그것을 듣고 라마를 건축하기를 그만두고 자기의 일을 그치니라.
5 Then Baasha, hearing of it, put a stop to the building of Ramah, and let his work come to an end.
5 바아사가 듣고 라마 건축하는 일을 파하여 그 공역을 그친지라
6 Then Asa the kingtook all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.[x]MKJV: And Asa the king took all Judah. And they carried away the stones of Ramah, and timber with which Baasha was building. And he built with it Geba and Mizpah. BBE: Then King Asa, with all Judah, took away the stones and wood with which Baasha was building Ramah, and he made use of them for building Geba and Mizpah. KAV: 이에 아사 왕이 온 유다를 취하였고 그들이 바아사가 건축할 때에 쓰던 라마의 돌과 재목을 가져오므로 그가 그것들로 게바와 미스바를 건축하였더라.
6 Then King Asa, with all Judah, took away the stones and wood with which Baasha was building Ramah, and he made use of them for building Geba and Mizpah.
6 아사왕이 온 유다 무리를 거느리고 바아사가 라마를 건축하던 돌과 재목을 수운하여다가 게바와 미스바를 건축하였더라
7 And at that timeHanani the seercame to Asaking of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syriaescaped out of thine hand.[x]MKJV: And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him, Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on the LORD your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped out of your hand. BBE: At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa, king of Judah, and said to him, Because you have put your faith in the king of Aram and not in the Lord your God, the army of the king of Aram has got away out of your hands. KAV: ¶ 그때에 선견자 하나니가 유다 왕 아사에게 나아와 이르되, 왕이 시리아 왕을 의지하고 {주} 왕의 [하나님]을 의지하지 아니하였으므로 시리아 왕의 군대가 왕의 손에서 피하였나이다.
7 At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa, king of Judah, and said to him, Because you have put your faith in the king of Aram and not in the Lord your God, the army of the king of Aram has got away out of your hands.
7 때에 선견자 하나니가 유다 왕 아사에게 나아와서 이르되 왕이 아람 왕을 의지하고 왕의 하나님 여호와를 의지하지 아니한고로 아람 왕의 군대가 왕의 손에서 벗어났나이다
8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a hugehost, with verymanychariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.[x]MKJV: Were not the Cushites and the Libyans a huge army with many chariots and horsemen? Yet, because you relied on the LORD, he delivered them into your hand. BBE: Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubim a very great army, with war-carriages and horsemen more than might be numbered? but because your faith was in the Lord, he gave them up into your hands. KAV: 이디오피아 사람들과 룹 사람들이 많은 병거와 기병을 갖춘 큰 군대가 아니었나이까? 그러나 왕이 {주}를 의지하였으므로 그분께서 그들을 왕의 손에 넘겨주셨나이다.
8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubim a very great army, with war-carriages and horsemen more than might be numbered? but because your faith was in the Lord, he gave them up into your hands.
8 구스 사람과 룹 사람의 군대가 크지 아니하며 말과 병거가 심히 많지 아니하더이까 그러나 왕이 여호와를 의지한고로 여호와께서 왕의 손에 붙이셨나이다
9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heartisperfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt havewars.[x]MKJV: For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro in all the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart [is] perfect toward Him. You have done foolishly in this; therefore from now on you shall have wars. BBE: For the eyes of the Lord go this way and that, through all the earth, letting it be seen that he is the strong support of those whose hearts are true to him. In this you have done foolishly, for from now you will have wars. KAV: {주}의 눈은 이리저리 온 땅을 두루 다니며 완전한 마음으로 자신에게 향하는 자들을 위하여 자신의 강하심을 보이시나니 이 일로 왕이 어리석게 행하였은즉 이제부터는 왕에게 전쟁이 있으리이다, 하매
9 For the eyes of the Lord go this way and that, through all the earth, letting it be seen that he is the strong support of those whose hearts are true to him. In this you have done foolishly, for from now you will have wars.
9 여호와의 눈은 온 땅을 두루 감찰하사 전심으로 자기에게 향하는 자를 위하여 능력을 베푸시나니 이 일은 왕이 망령되이 행하였은즉 이 후부터는 왕에게 전쟁이 있으리이다 하매
10 Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prisonhouse; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asaoppressedsome of the people the same time.[x]MKJV: And Asa was angry with the seer and put him in a prison-house. For [he was] in a rage with him because of this. And Asa oppressed some of the people at that time. BBE: Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in prison, burning with wrath against him because of this thing. And at the same time Asa was cruel to some of the people. KAV: 그때에 아사가 그 선견자에게 노하여 그를 감옥 집에 가두었더라. 그가 이 일로 인하여 그에게 격노하였더라. 또 그때에 아사가 백성 중에서 몇 사람을 학대하였더라.
10 Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in prison, burning with wrath against him because of this thing. And at the same time Asa was cruel to some of the people.
10 아사가 노하여 선견자를 옥에 가두었으니 이는 그 말에 크게 노하였음이며 그 때에 아사가 또 몇 백성을 학대하였더라
11 And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they arewritten in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.[x]MKJV: And behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they [are] written in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel. BBE: Now the acts of Asa, first and last, are recorded in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. KAV: ¶ 보라, 아사의 행적은 처음부터 끝까지 유다와 이스라엘의 왕들의 책에 기록되어 있느니라.

12 And Asa in the thirty and ninthyear of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his diseasewasexceedinggreat: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.[x]MKJV: And in the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa [was] diseased in his feet, until his disease [was] very grievous. Yet in his disease he did not seek to the LORD, but to the physicians. BBE: In the thirty-ninth year of his rule, Asa had a very bad disease of the feet; but he did not go to the Lord for help in his disease, but to medical men. KAV: 아사의 통치 제삼십구년에 그의 발에 병이 있었고 그의 병이 심히 중하였으나 병이 있을 때에 그가 {주}께 구하지 아니하고 의사들에게 구하였더라.
12 In the thirty-ninth year of his rule, Asa had a very bad disease of the feet; but he did not go to the Lord for help in his disease, but to medical men.
12 아사가 왕이 된지 삼십 구년에 그 발이 병들어 심히 중하나 병이 있을 때에 저가 여호와께 구하지 아니하고 의원들에게 구하였더라
13 And Asaslept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortiethyear of his reign.[x]MKJV: And Asa slept with his fathers and died in the forty-first year of his reign. BBE: So Asa went to rest with his fathers, and death came to him in the forty-first year of his rule. KAV: ¶ 아사가 자기의 통치 제사십일년에 자기 조상들과 함께 잠들어 죽으니

14 And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kindsof spicesprepared by the apothecariesart: and they made a verygreatburning for him.[x]MKJV: And they buried him in his own tomb, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odors and kinds [of spices] prepared by the perfumers art. And they made a very great burning for him. BBE: And they put him into the resting-place which he had made for himself in the town of David, in a bed full of sweet perfumes of all sorts of spices, made by the perfumer's art, and they made a great burning for him. KAV: 그들이 아사가 다윗의 도시에 자기를 위하여 만든 그의 돌무덤에 그를 묻고 또 약제사의 기술로 예비한 향수와 여러 가지 향료를 가득히 채운 상에 그를 두고 또 그를 위하여 크게 향을 태웠더라.
14 And they put him into the resting-place which he had made for himself in the town of David, in a bed full of sweet perfumes of all sorts of spices, made by the perfumer's art, and they made a great burning for him.
14 다윗성에 자기를 위하여 파 두었던 묘실에 무리가 장사하되 그 시체를 법대로 만든 각양 향재료를 가득히 채운 상에 두고 또 위하여 많이 분향하였더라
