KAV: 그가 아사를 맞으러 나가서 그에게 이르되, 아사와 온 유다와 베냐민아, 너희는 내 말을 들으라. 너희가 만일 {주} 와 함께하면 그분께서 너희와 함께하시리라. 너희가 만일 그분을 구하면 그분을 만나려니와 너희가 만일 그분을 버리면 그분께서도 너희를 버리시리라.

8 And when Asaheard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mountEphraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that wasbefore the porch of the LORD.[x]MKJV: And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim. And he renewed the altar of the LORD before the porch of the LORD. BBE: And Asa, hearing these words of Azariah, the son of Oded the prophet, took heart and put away all the disgusting things out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the towns which he had taken from the hill-country of Ephraim; and he made new again the altar of the Lord in front of the covered way of the Lord's house. KAV: 아사가 이 말들 곧 대언자 오뎃의 대언을 듣고 용기를 내어 유다와 베냐민의 온 땅에서 또 자기가 에브라임 산에서부터 빼앗은 도시들에서 가증한 우상들을 제거하고 또 {주}의 주랑 앞에 있던 {주}의 제단을 재건하였으며
8 And Asa, hearing these words of Azariah, the son of Oded the prophet, took heart and put away all the disgusting things out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the towns which he had taken from the hill-country of Ephraim; and he made new again the altar of the Lord in front of the covered way of the Lord's house.
8 아사가 이 말 곧 선지자 오뎃의 예언을 듣고 마음을 강하게 하여 가증한 물건을 유다와 베냐민 온 땅에서 제하고 또 에브라임 산지에서 빼앗은 성읍들에서 제하고 또 여호와의 낭실 앞 여호와의 단을 중수하고
9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his Godwas with him.[x]MKJV: And [he] gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon. KAV: 온 유다와 베냐민과 또 에브라임과 므낫세와 시므온에서 나와 그들과 함께 거하는 나그네들을 모았는데 그들이 {주} 곧 그의 [하나님]께서 그와 함께하심을 보고 이스라엘 가운데서 나와 아사에게로 많이 돌아왔더라.
9 And he got together all Judah and Benjamin and those of Ephraim and Manasseh and Simeon who were living with them; for numbers of them came to him out of Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.
9 또 유다와 베냐민의 무리를 모으고 에브라임과 므낫세와 시므온 가운데서 나와서 저희 중에 우거하는 자를 모았으니 이는 이스라엘 사람들이 아사의 하나님 여호와께서 그와 함께하심을 보고 아사에게로 돌아오는 자가 많았음이더라

BBE: And that anyone, small or great, man or woman, who was not true to the Lord, the God of Israel, would be put to death. KAV: 곧 누구든지 {주} 이스라엘의 [하나님]을 구하지 아니하는 자는 크든지 작든지 남녀를 막론하고 죽이기로 하니라.

And He was found by them, and the LORD gave them rest all around. BBE: And all Judah was glad because of the oath, for they had taken it with all their heart, turning to the Lord with all their desire; and he was with them and gave them rest on every side. KAV: 온 유다가 그 맹세를 기뻐하였더라. 그들이 마음을 다하여 맹세하고 전적으로 갈망하며 그분을 구하였으므로 그분을 만났고 또 {주}께서 그들의 사방에서 그들에게 안식을 주셨더라.
15 And all Judah was glad because of the oath, for they had taken it with all their heart, turning to the Lord with all their desire; and he was with them and gave them rest on every side.
15 온 유다가 이 맹세를 기뻐한지라 무리가 마음을 다하여 맹세하고 뜻을 다하여 여호와를 찾았으므로 여호와께서도 저희의 만난바가 되시고 그 사방에 평안을 주셨더라
16 And also concerningMaachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from beingqueen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stampedit, and burntit at the brookKidron.[x]MKJV: And also [as to] Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from [being] queen mother, because she had made an idol in a grove. And Asa cut down her idol and stamped it and burned [it] at the torrent Kidron. BBE: And Asa would not let Maacah, his mother, be queen, because she had made a disgusting image for Asherah; and Asa had her image cut down and broken up and burned by the stream Kidron. KAV: ¶ 또한 아사 왕의 어머니 마아가로 말하건대 그녀가 작은 숲에 한 우상을 만들었으므로 아사가 그녀를 제거하여 왕비가 되지 못하게 하고 그녀의 우상을 베어 내어 짓밟아 기드론 시내에서 불태웠으나
16 And Asa would not let Maacah, his mother, be queen, because she had made a disgusting image for Asherah; and Asa had her image cut down and broken up and burned by the stream Kidron.
16 아사왕의 모친 마아가가 아세라의 가증한 목상을 만들었으므로 아사가 그 태후의 위를 폐하고 그 우상을 찍고 빻아 기드론 시냇가에서 불살랐으니
17 But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.[x]MKJV: But the high places were not taken away out of Israel. KAV: 산당들은 이스라엘에서 제거하지 아니하였더라. 그럼에도 불구하고 아사의 마음이 평생토록 완전하였더라.

BBE: He took into the house of God all the things which his father had made holy and those which he himself had made holy, silver and gold and vessels. KAV: ¶ 또 그가 자기 아버지가 봉헌한 물건들과 자기가 봉헌한 물건들 곧 은과 금과 그릇들을 [하나님]의 집으로 가져갔더라.
18 He took into the house of God all the things which his father had made holy and those which he himself had made holy, silver and gold and vessels.

19 And there was no morewar unto the five and thirtiethyear of the reign of Asa.[x]MKJV: And there was no war to the thirty-fifth year of the reign of Asa. BBE: And there was no more war till the thirty-fifth year of the rule of Asa. KAV: 아사의 통치 제삼십오년까지 다시는 전쟁이 없었더라.
