KJV BBE KRV
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.1 But about the times and their order, my brothers, there is no need for me to say anything to you.1 형제들아 때와 시기에 관하여는 너희에게 쓸 것이 없음은
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.2 For you yourselves have the knowledge that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.2 주의 날이 밤에 도적 같이 이를 줄을 너희 자신이 자세히 앎이라
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child ; and they shall not escape.3 When they say, There is peace and no danger, then sudden destruction will come on them, as birth-pains on a woman with child; and they will not be able to get away from it.3 저희가 평안하다, 안전하다 할 그 때에 잉태된 여자에게 해산 고통이 이름과 같이 멸망이 홀연히 저희에게 이르리니 결단코 피하지 못하리라
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.4 But you, my brothers, are not in the dark, for that day to overtake you like a thief:4 형제들아 너희는 어두움에 있지 아니하매 그 날이 도적 같이 너희에게 임하지 못하리니
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.5 For you are all sons of light and of the day: we are not of the night or of the dark.5 너희는 다 빛의 아들이요 낮의 아들이라 우리가 밤이나 어두움에 속하지 아니하나니
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.6 So then, let us not take our rest as the others do, but let us be self-controlled and awake.6 그러므로 우리는 다른 이들과 같이 자지 말고 오직 깨어 근신할찌라
For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.7 For those who are sleeping do so in the night; and those who are the worse for drink are so in the night;7 자는 자들은 밤에 자고 취하는 자들은 밤에 취하되
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.8 But let us, who are of the day, be serious, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and on our heads, the hope of salvation.8 우리는 낮에 속하였으니 근신하여 믿음과 사랑의 흉배를 붙이고 구원의 소망의 투구를 쓰자
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,9 For God's purpose for us is not wrath, but salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,9 하나님이 우리를 세우심은 노하심에 이르게 하심이 아니요 오직 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 구원을 얻게 하신 것이라
Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.10 Who was put to death for us, so that, awake or sleeping, we may have a part in his life.10 예수께서 우리를 위하여 죽으사 우리로 하여금 깨든지 자든지 자기와 함께 살게 하려 하셨느니라
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.11 So then, go on comforting and building up one another, as you have been doing.11 그러므로 피차 권면하고 피차 덕을 세우기를 너희가 하는것 같이 하라
And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;12 But we make this request to you, my brothers: give attention to those who are working among you, who are over you in the Lord to keep order among you;12 형제들아 우리가 너희에게 구하노니 너희 가운데서 수고하고 주 안에서 너희를 다스리며 권하는 자들을 너희가 알고
And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.13 And have a high opinion of them in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.13 저의 역사로 말미암아 사랑 안에서 가장 귀히 여기며 너희끼리 화목하라
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.14 And our desire is that you will keep control over those whose lives are not well ordered, giving comfort to the feeble-hearted, supporting those with little strength, and putting up with much from all.14 또 형제들아 너희를 권면하노니 규모 없는 자들을 권계하며 마음이 약한 자들을 안위하고 힘이 없는 자들을 붙들어 주며 모든 사람을 대하여 오래 참으라
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.15 Let no one give evil for evil; but ever go after what is good, for one another and for all.15 삼가 누가 누구에게든지 악으로 악을 갚지 말게 하고 오직 피차 대하든지 모든 사람을 대하든지 항상 선을 좇으라
Rejoice evermore.16 Have joy at all times.16 항상 기뻐하라
Pray without ceasing.17 Keep on with your prayers.17 쉬지 말고 기도하라
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.18 In everything give praise: for this is the purpose of God in Christ Jesus for you.18 범사에 감사하라 이는 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희를 향하신 하나님의 뜻이니라
Quench not the Spirit.19 Do not put out the light of the Spirit;19 성령을 소멸치 말며
Despise not prophesyings.20 Do not make little of the words of the prophets;20 예언을 멸시치 말고
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.21 Let all things be tested; keep to what is good;21 범사에 헤아려 좋은 것을 취하고
Abstain from all appearance of evil.22 Keep from every form of evil.22 악은 모든 모양이라도 버리라
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.23 And may the God of peace himself make you holy in every way; and may your spirit and soul and body be free from all sin at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.23 평강의 하나님이 친히 너희로 온전히 거룩하게 하시고 또 너희 온 영과 혼과 몸이 우리 주 예수 그리스도 강림하실 때에 흠없게 보전되기를 원하노라
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.24 God, by whom you have been marked out in his purpose, is unchanging and will make it complete.24 너희를 부르시는 이는 미쁘시니 그가 또한 이루시리라
Brethren, pray for us.25 Brothers, keep us in mind in your prayers.25 형제들아 우리를 위하여 기도하라
Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.26 Give all the brothers a holy kiss.26 거룩하게 입맞춤으로 모든 형제에게 문안하라
I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.27 I give orders in the name of the Lord that all the brothers are to be present at the reading of this letter.27 내가 주를 힘입어 너희를 명하노니 모든 형제에게 이 편지를 읽어 들리라
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.28 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜가 너희에게 있을찌어다
