1 Then cameDavid to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?[x]MKJV: And David came to Nob, to Ahimelech the priest. And Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said to him, Why [are] you alone, and no man with you? BBE: Then David came to Nob, to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was full of fear at meeting David, and said to him, Why are you by yourself, having no man with you? 1 Then David came to Nob, to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was full of fear at meeting David, and said to him, Why are you by yourself, having no man with you?
1 다윗이 놉에 가서 제사장 아히멜렉에게 이르니 아히멜렉이 떨며 다윗을 영접하며 그에게 이르되 어찌하여 네가 홀로 있고 함께 하는 자가 아무도 없느냐
2 And Davidsaid unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no manknow any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointedmyservants to such and such a place.[x]MKJV: And David said to Ahimelech the priest, The king has commanded me a business and has said to me, Let no man know anything [of] the business about which I send you, and what I have sent you. And I have sent servants to such and such a place. BBE: And David said to Ahimelech the priest, The king has given me orders and has said to me, Say nothing to anyone about the business on which I am sending you and the orders I have given you: and a certain place has been fixed to which the young men are to go. KAV: 다윗이 제사장 아히멜렉에게 이르되, 왕이 내게 일을 명령하고 내게 이르시기를, 내가 너를 보내어 하게 하는 일과 또 네게 명령한 것을 아무에게도 전혀 알리지 말라, 하시기에 내가 내 종들을 이러이러한 곳으로 가라고 지정하였나이다. 2 And David said to Ahimelech the priest, The king has given me orders and has said to me, Say nothing to anyone about the business on which I am sending you and the orders I have given you: and a certain place has been fixed to which the young men are to go.
2 다윗이 제사장 아히멜렉에게 이르되 왕이 내게 일을 명하고 이르시기를 내가 너를 보내는 바와 네게 명한바 일의 아무것이라도 사람에게 알게 하지 말라 하시기로 내가 나의 소년들을 여차 여차한 곳으로 약정하였나이다
3 Now therefore what is under thine hand? givemefiveloaves ofbread in mine hand, or what there is present.[x]MKJV: And therefore, what is under your hand? Give five [loaves] of bread in my hand, or what there is to be found. BBE: So now, if you have here five cakes of bread, give them into my hand, or whatever you have. KAV: 그런즉 이제 당신의 손안에 무엇이 있나이까? 빵 다섯 개나 무엇이든지 거기 있는 대로 내 손에 주소서, 하거늘 TSK: under thine: 1sa 21:4, jud 9:29, isa 3:6
3 So now, if you have here five cakes of bread, give them into my hand, or whatever you have.
3 이제 당신의 수중에 무엇이 있나이까 떡 다섯 덩이나 무엇이든지 있는 대로 내 손에 주소서
4 And the priestansweredDavid, and said, There is no commonbread under mine hand, but there ishallowedbread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women.[x]MKJV: And the priest answered David and said, [There is] no common bread under my hand, but there is holy bread if the young men have kept themselves at least from women. BBE: And the priest, answering David, said, I have no common bread here but there is holy bread; if only the young men have kept themselves from women. KAV: 제사장이 다윗에게 응답하여 이르되, 내 손안에 보통 빵은 없으나 거룩한 빵은 있나니 최소한 그 청년들이 여자들을 가까이 하지 아니하였으면 주리라, 하매 TSK: hallowed bread: 1sa 21:6, ex 25:30, le 24:5-9, mt 12:3,4; if the young: ex 19:15, zec 7:3, 1co 7:5
4 And the priest, answering David, said, I have no common bread here but there is holy bread; if only the young men have kept themselves from women.
4 제사장이 다윗에게 대답하여 가로되 항용 떡은 내 수중에 없으나 거룩한 떡은 있나니 그 소년들이 부녀를 가까이만 아니하였으면 주리라
5 And Davidanswered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truthwomenhave beenkept from us about these threedays, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a mannercommon, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.[x]MKJV: And David answered the priest and said to him, Truly women [have been] kept from us for about three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and [in] a way the holy [bread] is common. Also surely today it is sanctified in the vessels. BBE: And David in answer said to the priest, Certainly women have been kept from us; and as has been done before when I have gone out the arms of the young men were made holy, even though it was a common journey; how much more today will their arms be made holy. KAV: 다윗이 제사장에게 응답하여 이르되, 진실로 내가 떠나온 이후로 우리가 이 사흘 동안 여자를 가까이 하지 아니하였나이다. 청년들의 그릇들이 거룩하며 참으로 이 날 그 빵이 그릇에서 거룩히 구별되었을지라도 지금은 보통 방식으로 있나이다, 하니 TSK: the vessels: ac 9:15, 1th 4:3,4, 2ti 2:20,21, 1pe 3:17; in a manner: le 24:9; yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel: le 8:26
5 And David in answer said to the priest, Certainly women have been kept from us; and as has been done before when I have gone out the arms of the young men were made holy, even though it was a common journey; how much more today will their arms be made holy.
5 다윗이 제사장에게 대답하여 가로되 우리가 참으로 삼일 동안이나 부녀를 가까이 하지 아니하였나이다 나의 떠난 길이 보통 여행이라도 소년들의 그릇이 성결하겠거든 하물며 오늘날 그들의 그릇이 성결치 아니하겠나이까 하매
6 So the priestgave him hallowedbread: for there was no bread there but the showbreadㆍ, that was taken from before the LORD, to puthotbread in the day when it was taken away.[x]MKJV: And the priest gave him holy [bread]. For there was no bread there but the Bread of the Presence that was taken from before the LORD, in order to put hot bread in on the day when it was taken away. BBE: So the priest gave him the holy bread: there was no other, only the holy bread which had been taken from before the Lord, so that new bread might be put in its place on the day when it was taken away. KAV: 이에 제사장이 거룩한 빵을 그에게 주었더라. 이는 거기에 보여 주는 빵 곧 {주} 앞에서 취한 빵밖에 다른 빵은 없었기 때문이더라. 이 빵은 더운 빵을 놓는 날에 치워놓은 것이더라. TSK: gave him: mt 12:3,4, mr 2:25-27, lu 6:3,4; hot bread: le 24:5-9
6 So the priest gave him the holy bread: there was no other, only the holy bread which had been taken from before the Lord, so that new bread might be put in its place on the day when it was taken away.
6 제사장이 그 거룩한 떡을 주었으니 거기는 진설병 곧 여호와 앞에서 물려낸 떡 밖에 없음이라 이 떡은 더운 떡을 드리는 날에 물려낸 것이더라
7 Now a certain man of the servants of Saulwas there that day, detainedbefore the LORD; and his namewasDoeg, an Edomite, the chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to Saul.[x]MKJV: And a man from the servants of Saul [was] there that day, held before the LORD. And his name [was] Doeg, an Edomite, the chief of Saul's herdsmen. BBE: Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, kept back before the Lord; his name was Doeg, an Edomite, the strongest of Saul's runners. KAV: 이제 그 날 사울의 신하들 중 어떤 사람이 거기서 {주} 앞에 머물러 있었는데 그의 이름은 도엑이요, 그는 에돔 족속으로 사울에게 속한 목자들 중에서 으뜸가는 자였더라. 7 그 날에 사울의 신하 한 사람이 여호와 앞에 머물러 있었는데 그는 도엑이라 이름하는 에돔 사람이요 사울의 목자장이었더라
8 And Davidsaid unto Ahimelech, And is therenot here under thine handspear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king'sbusinessrequiredhaste.[x]MKJV: And David said to Ahimelech, And is there not here under your hand spear or sword? For I have not brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king's business needed haste. BBE: And David said to Ahimelech, Have you no sword or spear with you here? for I have come without my sword and other arms, because the king's business had to be done quickly. KAV: ¶ 다윗이 아히멜렉에게 이르되, 여기 당신의 손안에 창이나 칼이 없나이까? 왕의 일이 신속함을 요하므로 내가 내 칼과 무기를 가져오지 못하였나이다, 하매
8 And David said to Ahimelech, Have you no sword or spear with you here? for I have come without my sword and other arms, because the king's business had to be done quickly.
8 다윗이 아히멜렉에게 이르되 여기 당신의 수중에 창이나 칼이 없나이까 왕의 일이 급하므로 내가 내 칼과 병기를 가지지 못하였나이다
9 And the priestsaid, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is herewrapped in a clothbehind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, takeit: for there is no othersave that here. And Davidsaid, There is none like that; give it me.[x]MKJV: And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the valley of Elah, behold, it [is] wrapped in a cloth under the ephod, if you will take, take it for yourself, for there is no other here except that one. And David said, There is none like that. Give it to me. BBE: And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you put to death in the valley of Elah, is here folded in a cloth at the back of the ephod: take that, if you will, for there is no other sword here. And David said, there is no other sword like that; give it to me. KAV: 제사장이 이르되, 네가 엘라 골짜기에서 죽인 블레셋 사람 골리앗의 칼을 보라. 그것이 여기에 에봇 뒤에 있는 보자기에 싸여 있으니 네가 그것을 가지려거든 가지라. 여기에 그것 말고는 다른 것이 없느니라, 하매 다윗이 이르되, 그와 같은 것이 또 없으니 그것을 내게 주소서, 하니라. 9 And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you put to death in the valley of Elah, is here folded in a cloth at the back of the ephod: take that, if you will, for there is no other sword here. And David said, there is no other sword like that; give it to me.
9 제사장이 가로되 네가 엘라 골짜기에서 죽인 블레셋 사람 골리앗의 칼이 보자기에 싸여 에봇 뒤에 있으니 네가 그것을 가지려거든 가지라 여기는 그 밖에 다른것이 없느니라 다윗이 가로되 그같은 것이 또 없나니 내게 주소서
10 And Davidarose, and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath.[x]MKJV: And David arose and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath. BBE: Then David got up and went in flight that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish, the king of Gath. KAV: ¶ 그 날에 다윗이 사울을 두려워하였으므로 일어나 도망하여 가드 왕 아기스에게로 가니 TSK: fled: 1sa 27:1, 1ki 19:3, jer 26:21; Achish: 1sa 27:2, ps 34:1
10 Then David got up and went in flight that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish, the king of Gath.
10 그 날에 다윗이 사울을 두려워하여 일어나 도망하여 가드 왕 아기스에게로 가니
11 And the servants of Achishsaid unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?[x]MKJV: And the servants of Achish said to him, [Is] not this David the king of the land? Did they not sing to one another of him in dances, saying, Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands? BBE: And the servants of Achish said to him, Is not this David, the king of the land? did they not make songs about him in their dances, saying, Saul has put to death thousands, and David tens of thousands? KAV: 아기스의 신하들이 그에게 이르되, 이 사람은 그 땅의 왕 다윗이 아니니이까? 그들이 춤추며 그에 관해 서로 노래하여 이르되, 사울이 죽인 자는 수천이요, 다윗은 수만이로다, 하지 아니하였나이까? 하므로 TSK: the servants: ps 56:1; the king: 1sa 16:1, 1sa 18:7,8, 1sa 29:5
11 And the servants of Achish said to him, Is not this David, the king of the land? did they not make songs about him in their dances, saying, Saul has put to death thousands, and David tens of thousands?
11 아기스의 신하들이 아기스에게 고하되 이는 그 땅의 왕 다윗이 아니니이까 무리가 춤추며 이 사람의 일을 창화하여 가로되 사울의 죽인 자는 천천이요 다윗은 만만이로다 하지 아니하였나이까 한지라
12 And David laid up these words in his heart, and was soreafraidofAchish the king of Gath.[x]MKJV: And David laid up these words in his heart, and was very much afraid of Achish the king of Gath. BBE: And David took these words to heart, fearing Achish, the king of Gath. 12 And David took these words to heart, fearing Achish, the king of Gath.

13 And he changed his behaviourbefore them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard.[x]MKJV: And he changed his behavior before them, and pretended himself to be mad in their hands, and marked on the doors of the gate and let his spittle fall down on his beard. BBE: So changing his behaviour before them, he made it seem as if he was off his head, hammering on the doors of the town, and letting the water from his mouth go down his chin. KAV: 그들 앞에서 자기 행동을 바꾸고 그들의 손 안에서 미친 체하며 바깥문의 문짝들에 휘갈겨 쓰고 침을 수염에 흘리매 TSK: changed: ps 34:1, pr 29:25, ec 7:7
13 So changing his behaviour before them, he made it seem as if he was off his head, hammering on the doors of the town, and letting the water from his mouth go down his chin.
13 그들의 앞에서 그 행동을 변하여 미친 체 하고 대문짝에 그적거리며 침을 수염에 흘리매
14 Then saidAchish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me?[x]MKJV: Then Achish said to his servants, Lo, you see the man is mad. Why have you brought him to me? BBE: Then Achish said to his servants, Look! the man is clearly off his head; why have you let him come before me? KAV: 그때에 아기스가 자기 신하들에게 이르되, 보라, 너희도 보거니와 이 사람이 미쳤도다. 그런즉 어찌하여 너희가 그를 내게로 데려왔느냐? TSK: is mad: ec 7:7
14 Then Achish said to his servants, Look! the man is clearly off his head; why have you let him come before me?
14 아기스가 그 신하에게 이르되 너희도 보거니와 이 사람이 미치광이로다 어찌하여 그를 내게로 데려왔느냐
15 Have I need of mad men, that ye have brought this fellow to play the mad man in my presence? shall this fellowcome into my house?[x]MKJV: Do I have need of mad men, that you have brought this one to show madness in my presence? Shall this one come into my house? BBE: Are there not enough unbalanced men about me, that you have let this person come and do such tricks before me? is such a man to come into my house? KAV: 내게 미치광이가 필요하여 너희가 이 자를 데려다가 내 앞에서 미친 짓을 하게 하느냐? 이 자가 내 집에 들어오겠느냐? 하니라.
15 Are there not enough unbalanced men about me, that you have let this person come and do such tricks before me? is such a man to come into my house?
15 내게 미치광이가 부족하여서 너희가 이 자를 데려다가 내 앞에서 미친짓을 하게 하느냐 이 자가 어찌 내 집에 들어 오겠느냐 하니라
