KJV BBE KRV
And they continued three years without war between Syria and Israel.1 Now for three years there was no war between Aram and Israel.1 아람과 이스라엘 사이에 전쟁이 없이 삼년을 지내었더라
And it came to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel.2 And it came about in the third year, that Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, came down to the king of Israel.2 제 삼년에 유다 왕 여호사밧이 이스라엘 왕에게 내려가매
And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria?3 And the king of Israel said to his servants, Do you not see that Ramoth-gilead is ours? and we are doing nothing to get it back from the hands of the king of Aram.3 이스라엘 왕이 그 신복에게 이르되 길르앗 라못은 본래 우리의 것인줄을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 우리가 어찌 아람 왕의 손에서 취하지 아니하고 잠잠히 있으리요 하고
And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramothgilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.4 And he said to Jehoshaphat, Will you go with me to Ramoth-gilead to make war? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as you are: my people as your people, my horses as your horses.4 여호사밧에게 이르되 당신은 나와 함께 길르앗 라못으로 가서 싸우시겠느뇨 여호사밧이 이스라엘 왕에게 이르되 나는 당신과 일반이요 내 백성은 당신의 백성과 일반이요 내 말들도 당신의 말들과 일반이니이다
And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Inquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.5 Then Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Let us now get directions from the Lord.5 여호사밧이 또 이스라엘 왕에게 이르되 청컨대 먼저 여호와의 말씀이 어떠하신지 물어 보소서
Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.6 So the king of Israel got all the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, Am I to go to Ramoth-gilead to make war or not? And they said, Go up: for the Lord will give it into the hands of the king.6 이스라엘 왕이 이에 선지자 사백인쯤 모으고 저희에게 이르되 내가 길르앗 라못에 가서 싸우랴 말랴 저희가 가로되 올라가소서 주께서 그 성을 왕의 손에 붙이시리이다
And Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might inquire of him?7 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there no other prophet of the Lord here from whom we may get directions?7 여호사밧이 가로되 이 외에 우리가 물을 만한 여호와의 선지자가 여기 있지 아니하니이까
And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.8 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is still one man by whom we may get directions from the Lord, Micaiah, son of Imlah; but I have no love for him, for he is a prophet of evil to me and not of good. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.8 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 이르되 오히려 이믈라의 아들 미가야 한 사람이 있으니 저로 말미암아 여호와께 물을 수 있으나 저는 내게 대하여 길한 일은 예언하지 아니하고 흉한 일만 예언하기로 내가 저를 미워하나이다 여호사밧이 가로되 왕은 그런 말씀을 마소서
Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Hasten hither Micaiah the son of Imlah.9 Then the king of Israel sent for one of his unsexed servants and said, Go quickly and come back with Micaiah, the son of Imlah.9 이스라엘 왕이 한 내시를 불러 이르되 이믈라의 아들 미가야로 속히 오게 하라 하니라
And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, having put on their robes, in a void place in the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.10 Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, were seated on their seats of authority, dressed in their robes, by the doorway into Samaria; and all the prophets were acting as prophets before them.10 이스라엘 왕과 유다 왕 여호사밧이 왕복을 입고 사마리아 문어귀 광장에서 각기 보좌에 앉았고 모든 선지자가 그 앞에서 예언을 하는데
And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have consumed them.11 And Zedekiah, the son of Chenaanah, made himself horns of iron and said, The Lord says, Pushing back the Aramaeans with these, you will put an end to them completely.11 그나아나의 아들 시드기야는 철로 뿔들을 만들어 가지고 말하되 여호와의 말씀이 왕이 이것들로 아람 사람을 찔러 진멸하리라 하셨다 하고
And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead , and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the king's hand.12 And all the prophets said the same thing, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and it will go well for you, for the Lord will give it into the hands of the king.12 모든 선지자도 그와 같이 예언하여 이르기를 길르앗 라못으로 올라가 승리를 얻으소서 여호와께서 그 성을 왕의 손에 붙이시리이다 하더라
And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good.13 Now the servant who had gone to get Micaiah said to him, See now, all the prophets with one voice are saying good things to the king; so let your words be like theirs and say good things.13 미가야를 부르러 간 사자가 일러 가로되 선지자들의 말이 여출일구하여 왕에게 길하게 하니 청컨대 당신의 말도 저희 중 한 사람의 말처럼 길하게 하소서
And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak.14 And Micaiah said, By the living Lord, whatever the Lord says to me I will say.14 미가야가 가로되 여호와의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하노니 여호와께서 내게 말씀하시는것 곧 그것을 내가 말하리라 하고
So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.15 When he came to the king, the king said to him, Micaiah, are we to go to Ramoth-gilead to make war or not? And in answer he said, Go up, and it will go well for you; and the Lord will give it into the hands of the king.15 이에 왕에게 이르니 왕이 저에게 이르되 미가야야 우리가 길르앗 라못으로 싸우러 가랴 말랴 저가 왕께 이르되 올라가서 승리를 얻으소서 여호와께서 그 성을 왕의 손에 붙이시리이다
And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD?16 Then the king said to him, Have I not, again and again, put you on your oath to say nothing to me but what is true in the name of the Lord?16 왕이 저에게 이르되 내가 몇 번이나 너로 맹세케 하여야 네가 여호와의 이름으로 진실한 것으로만 내게 고하겠느냐
And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace.17 Then he said, I saw all Israel wandering on the mountains like sheep without a keeper; and the Lord said, These have no master: let them go back, every man to his house in peace.17 저가 가로되 내가 보니 온 이스라엘이 목자 없는 양 같이 산에 흩어졌는데 여호와의 말씀이 이 무리가 주인이 없으니 각각 평안히 그 집으로 돌아갈 것이니라 하셨나이다
And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?18 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not say that he would not be a prophet of good but of evil?18 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 이르되 저 사람이 내게 대하여 길한 것을 예언하지 아니하고 흉한 것을 예언하겠다고 당신에게 말씀하지 아니하였나이까
And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.19 And he said, Give ear now to the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord seated on his seat of power, with all the army of heaven in their places round him at his right hand and at his left.19 미가야가 가로되 그런즉 왕은 여호와의 말씀을 들으소서 내가 보니 여호와께서 그 보좌에 앉으셨고 하늘의 만군이 그 좌우편에 모시고 서 있는데
And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.20 And the Lord said, How may Ahab be tricked into going up to Ramoth-gilead to his death? And one said one thing and one another.20 여호와께서 말씀하시기를 누가 아합을 꾀어 저로 길르앗 라못에 올라가서 죽게 할꼬 하시니 하나는 이렇게 하겠다 하고 하나는 저렇게 하겠다 하였는데
And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.21 Then a spirit came forward and took his place before the Lord and said, I will get him to do it by a trick.21 한 영이 나아와 여호와 앞에 서서 말하되 내가 저를 꾀이겠나이다
And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.22 And the Lord said, How? And he said, I will go out and be a spirit of deceit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Your trick will have its effect on him: go out and do so.22 여호와께서 저에게 이르시되 어떻게 하겠느냐 가로되 내가 나가서 거짓말 하는 영이 되어 그 모든 선지자의 입에 있겠나이다 여호와께서 가라사대 너는 꾀이겠고 또 이루리라 나가서 그리하라 하셨은즉
Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.23 And now, see, the Lord has put a spirit of deceit in the mouth of all these your prophets; and the Lord has said evil against you.23 이제 여호와께서 거짓말하는 영을 왕의 이 모든 선지자의 입에 넣으셨고 또 여호와께서 왕에게 대하여 화를 말씀하셨나이다
But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?24 Then Zedekiah, the son of Chenaanah, came near and gave Micaiah a blow on the side of the face, saying, Where is the spirit of the Lord whose word is in you?24 그나아나의 아들 시드기야가 가까이 와서 미가야의 뺨을 치며 이르되 여호와의 영이 나를 떠나 어디로 말미암아 가서 네게 말씀하더냐
And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.25 And Micaiah said, Truly, you will see on that day when you go into an inner room to keep yourself safe.25 미가야가 가로되 네가 골방에 들어가서 숨는 그 날에 보리라
And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son;26 And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah and send him back to Amon, the ruler of the town, and to Joash, the king's son;26 이스라엘 왕이 가로되 미가야를 잡아 부윤 아몬과 왕자 요아스에게로 끌고 돌아가서
And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison , and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.27 And say, It is the king's order that this man is to be put in prison and given prison food till I come again in peace.27 말하기를 왕의 말씀이 이놈을 옥에 가두고 내가 평안히 돌아올 때까지 고생의 떡과 고생의 물로 먹이라 하라
And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you.28 And Micaiah said, If you come back at all in peace, the Lord has not sent his word by me.28 미가야가 가로되 왕이 참으로 평안히 돌아오시게 될찐대 여호와께서 나로 말씀하지 아니하셨으리이다 또 가로되 너희 백성들아 다 들을찌어다 하니라
So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead.29 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, went up to Ramoth-gilead.29 이스라엘 왕과 유다 왕 여호사밧이 길르앗 라못으로 올라가니라
And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.30 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, I will make a change in my clothing, so that I do not seem to be the king, and will go into the fight; but do you put on your robes. So the king of Israel made a change in his dress and went into the fight.30 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 이르되 나는 변장하고 군중으로 들어가려 하노니 당신은 왕복을 입으소서 하고 이스라엘 왕이 변장하고 군중으로 들어가니라
But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel.31 Now the king of Aram had given orders to the thirty-two captains of his war-carriages, saying, Make no attack on small or great, but only on the king of Israel.31 아람 왕이 그 병거의 장관 삼십 이인에게 명하여 이르기를 너희는 작은 자나 큰 자나 더불어 싸우지 말고 오직 이스라엘 왕과 싸우라 한지라
And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out.32 So when the captains of the war-carriages saw Jehoshaphat, they said, Truly, this is the king of Israel; and turning against him, they came round him, but Jehoshaphat gave a cry.32 병거의 장관들이 여호사밧을 보고 이르되 이가 필연 이스라엘 왕이라 하고 돌이켜 저와 싸우려 한즉 여호사밧이 소리지르는지라
And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.33 And when the captains of the war-carriages saw that he was not the king of Israel, they went back from going after him.33 병거의 장관들이 저가 이스라엘 왕이 아님을 보고 쫓기를 그치고 돌이켰더라
And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.34 And a certain man sent an arrow from his bow without thought of its direction, and gave the king of Israel a wound where his breastplate was joined to his clothing; so he said to the driver of his war-carriage, Go to one side and take me away out of the army, for I am badly wounded.34 한 사람이 우연히 활을 당기어 이스라엘 왕의 갑옷 솔기를 쏜지라 왕이 그 병거 모는 자에게 이르되 내가 부상하였으니 네 손을 돌이켜 나로 군중에서 나가게 하라 하였으나
And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the midst of the chariot.35 But the fight became more violent while the day went on; and the king was supported in his war-carriage facing the Aramaeans, and the floor of the carriage was covered with the blood from his wound, and by evening he was dead.35 이 날에 전쟁이 맹렬하였으므로 왕이 병거 가운데 붙들려 서서 아람 사람을 막다가 저녁에 이르러 죽었는데 상처의 피가 흘러 병거 바닥에 고였더라
And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his own country.36 And about sundown a cry went up from all parts of the army, saying, Let every man go back to his town and his country, for the king is dead.36 해가 질 즈음에 군중에서 외치는 소리 있어 가로되 각기 성읍으로, 각기 본향으로 하더라
So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria.37 And they came to Samaria, and put the king's body to rest in Samaria.37 왕이 이미 죽으매 그 시체를 메어 사마리아에 이르러 거기 장사하니라
And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the word of the LORD which he spake.38 And the war-carriage was washed by the pool of Samaria, which was the bathing-place of the loose women, and the dogs were drinking his blood there, as the Lord had said.38 그 병거를 사마리아 못에 씻으매 개들이 그 피를 핥았으니 여호와의 하신 말씀과 같이 되었더라 거기는 창기들의 목욕하는 곳이었더라
Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he made, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?39 Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all he did, and his ivory house, and all the towns of which he was the builder, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel?39 아합의 남은 행적과 무릇 그 행한 일과 그 건축한 상아궁과 그 건축한 모든 성은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
So Ahab slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.40 So Ahab was put to rest with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son became king in his place.40 아합이 그 열조와 함께 자매 그 아들 아하시야가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel.41 And Jehoshaphat, the son of Asa, became king over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab's rule over Israel.41 이스라엘 왕 아합 제 사년에 아사의 아들 여호사밧이 유다 왕이 되니
Jehoshaphat was thirty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.42 Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he became king, and he was king for twenty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Azubah, the daughter of Shilhi.42 여호사밧이 왕이 될 때에 나이 삼십 오세라 예루살렘에서 이십 오년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 아수바라 실히의 딸이더라
And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.43 He did as Asa his father had done, not turning away from it, but doing what was right in the eyes of the Lord; but the high places were not taken away: the people went on making offerings and burning them in the high places.43 여호사밧이 그 부친 아사의 모든 길로 행하며 돌이켜 떠나지 아니하고 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으나 산당은 폐하지 아니하였으므로 백성이 오히려 산당에서 제사를 드리며 분향하였더라
And Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel.44 And Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel.44 여호사밧이 이스라엘 왕으로 더불어 평화하니라
Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he showed, and how he warred, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?45 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his great power, and how he went to war, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah?45 여호사밧의 남은 사적과 그 베푼 권세와 그 어떻게 전쟁한 것은 다 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land.46 He put an end to the rest of those who were used for sex purposes in the worship of the gods, all those who were still in the land in the time of his father Asa.46 저가 그 부친 아사의 시대에 남아 있던 남색하는 자를 그 땅에서 쫓아내었더라
There was then no king in Edom: a deputy was king.47 At that time there was no king in Edom;47 그 때에 에돔에는 왕이 없고 섭정왕이 있었더라
Jehoshaphat made ships of Tharshish to go to Ophir for gold: but they went not; for the ships were broken at Eziongeber.48 And the representative of King Jehoshaphat made a Tarshish-ship to go to Ophir for gold, but it did not go, because it was broken at Ezion-geber.48 여호사밧이 다시스의 선척을 제조하고 오빌로 금을 취하러 보내려 하였더니 그 배가 에시온게벨에서 파선하였으므로 가지 못하게 되매
Then said Ahaziah the son of Ahab unto Jehoshaphat, Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships. But Jehoshaphat would not.49 Then Ahaziah, the son of Ahab, said to Jehoshaphat, Let my men go with yours in the ships. But Jehoshaphat would not let them.49 아합의 아들 아하시야가 여호사밧에게 이르되 나의 종으로 당신의 종과 함께 배에 가게 하라 하나 여호사밧이 허락지 아니하였더라
And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.50 Then Jehoshaphat went to rest with his fathers, and his body was put into the earth in the town of David his father; and Jehoram his son became king in his place.50 여호사밧이 그 열조와 함께 자매 그 조상 다윗성에 그 열조와 함께 장사되고 그 아들 여호람이 대신하여 왕이 되니라
Ahaziah the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned two years over Israel.51 Ahaziah, the son of Ahab, became king over Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of the rule of Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, and he was king over Israel for two years.51 유다 왕 여호사밧 제 십 칠년에 아합의 아들 아하시야가 사마리아에서 이스라엘 왕이 되어 이년을 이스라엘을 다스리니라
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin:52 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, going in the ways of his father and his mother, and in the ways of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, who made Israel do evil.52 저가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 그 아비의 길과 그 어미의 길과 이스라엘로 범죄케한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 길로 행하며
For he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger the LORD God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.53 He was a servant and worshipper of Baal, moving the Lord, the God of Israel, to wrath, as his father had done.53 바알을 섬겨 숭배하여 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 노를 격동하기를 그 아비의 온갖 행위 같이 하였더라
