2 And it came about in the third year, that Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, came down to the king of Israel.

3 And the king of Israelsaid unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gileadis ours, and we bestill, andtake it not out of the hand of the king of Syria?[x]MKJV: And the king of Israel said to his servants, Do you not know that Ramoth in Gilead [is] ours, and we are quiet and do not take it out of the hand of the king of Syria? BBE: And the king of Israel said to his servants, Do you not see that Ramoth-gilead is ours? and we are doing nothing to get it back from the hands of the king of Aram. 3 And the king of Israel said to his servants, Do you not see that Ramoth-gilead is ours? and we are doing nothing to get it back from the hands of the king of Aram.

4 And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramothgilead?ㆍ And Jehoshaphatsaid to the king of Israel, I am as thouart, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.[x]MKJV: And he said to Jehoshaphat, Will you go with me to battle to Ramoth in Gilead? 5 Then Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Let us now get directions from the Lord.
5 여호사밧이 또 이스라엘 왕에게 이르되 청컨대 먼저 여호와의 말씀이 어떠하신지 물어 보소서
6 Then the king of Israelgathered the prophetstogether, about fourhundredmen, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramothgileadtobattle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliverit into the hand of the king.[x]MKJV: And the king of Israel gathered the prophets, about four hundred men, and said to them, Shall I go against Ramoth in Gilead to battle, or shall I hold back? And they said, Go up! For the LORD shall deliver [it] into the hand of the king. BBE: So the king of Israel got all the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them, Am I to go to Ramoth-gilead to make war or not? 7 And Jehoshaphatsaid, Is there not here a prophet of the LORDbesides, that we might inquire of him?[x]MKJV: And Jehoshaphat said, [Is there] not here a prophet of Jehovah besides, that we might inquire of Him? BBE: But Jehoshaphat said, Is there no other prophet of the Lord here from whom we may get directions? 7 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there no other prophet of the Lord here from whom we may get directions?

8 And the king of Israelsaid unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet oneman, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesygood concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphatsaid, Let not the kingsay so.[x]MKJV: And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, [There is] still one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of Jehovah. But I hate him, for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so. BBE: And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is still one man by whom we may get directions from the Lord, Micaiah, son of Imlah; but I have no love for him, for he is a prophet of evil to me and not of good. 8 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is still one man by whom we may get directions from the Lord, Micaiah, son of Imlah; but I have no love for him, for he is a prophet of evil to me and not of good. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
8 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 이르되 오히려 이믈라의 아들 미가야 한 사람이 있으니 저로 말미암아 여호와께 물을 수 있으나 저는 내게 대하여 길한 일은 예언하지 아니하고 흉한 일만 예언하기로 내가 저를 미워하나이다 여호사밧이 가로되 왕은 그런 말씀을 마소서
9 Then the king of Israelcalledanofficer, and said, HastenhitherMicaiah the son of Imlah.[x]MKJV: And the king of Israel called an officer and said, Hurry and bring Micaiah the son of Imlah to hurry. BBE: Then the king of Israel sent for one of his unsexed servants and said, Go quickly and come back with Micaiah, the son of Imlah. KAV: 이에 이스라엘 왕이 관리 하나를 불러 이르되, 이믈라의 아들 미가야를 속히 여기로 데려오라, 하니라. 9 Then the king of Israel sent for one of his unsexed servants and said, Go quickly and come back with Micaiah, the son of Imlah.

10 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judahsateach on his throne, having put on their robes, in a void place in the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophetsprophesiedbefore them.[x]MKJV: And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah each sat on his throne, having put on their robes, in a floor in the entrance of the gate of Samaria. And all the prophets prophesied before them. BBE: Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, were seated on their seats of authority, dressed in their robes, by the doorway into Samaria; and all the prophets were acting as prophets before them. 11 And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanahmade him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have consumed them.[x]MKJV: And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made horns of iron for himself. And he said, So says Jehovah, With these you shall push the Syrians until you have crushed them. BBE: And Zedekiah, the son of Chenaanah, made himself horns of iron and said, The Lord says, Pushing back the Aramaeans with these, you will put an end to them completely. 11 그나아나의 아들 시드기야는 철로 뿔들을 만들어 가지고 말하되 여호와의 말씀이 왕이 이것들로 아람 사람을 찔러 진멸하리라 하셨다 하고
12 And all the prophetsprophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgileadㆍ, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliverit into the king'shand.[x]MKJV: And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth in Gilead and prosper, for the LORD shall deliver [it] into the king's hands. BBE: And all the prophets said the same thing, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and it will go well for you, for the Lord will give it into the hands of the king. 12 And all the prophets said the same thing, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and it will go well for you, for the Lord will give it into the hands of the king.

13 And the messenger that was gone to callMicaiahspake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophetsdeclaregood unto the king with onemouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speakthat which isgood.[x]MKJV: And the messenger that had gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets [are] good to the king with one mouth. Please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak good. BBE: Now the servant who had gone to get Micaiah said to him, See now, all the prophets with one voice are saying good things to the king; so let your words be like theirs and say good things. 14 And Micaiahsaid, As the LORDliveth, what the LORDsaith unto me, that will I speak.[x]MKJV: And Micaiah said, [As] the LORD lives, what the LORD says to me, that I will speak. BBE: And Micaiah said, By the living Lord, whatever the Lord says to me I will say. KAV: 미가야가 이르되, {주}께서 살아 계심을 두고 맹세하노니 {주}께서 내게 말씀하시는 것 즉 그것을 내가 말하리라, 하니라. 15 So he came to the king. And the kingsaid unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgileadtobattle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliverit into the hand of the king.[x]MKJV: So he came to the king. And the king said to him, Micaiah, Shall we go against Ramoth in Gilead to battle, or shall we hold off? And he answered him, Go and prosper. For the LORD shall deliver [it] into the hand of the king. BBE: When he came to the king, the king said to him, Micaiah, are we to go to Ramoth-gilead to make war or not? And in answer he said, Go up, and it will go well for you; and the Lord will give it into the hands of the king. 15 When he came to the king, the king said to him, Micaiah, are we to go to Ramoth-gilead to make war or not? And in answer he said, Go up, and it will go well for you; and the Lord will give it into the hands of the king.

16 And the kingsaid unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which istrue in the name of the LORD?[x]MKJV: And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure you that you tell me nothing but [what is] true, in the name of Jehovah? BBE: Then the king said to him, Have I not, again and again, put you on your oath to say nothing to me but what is true in the name of the Lord? 16 Then the king said to him, Have I not, again and again, put you on your oath to say nothing to me but what is true in the name of the Lord?
16 왕이 저에게 이르되 내가 몇 번이나 너로 맹세케 하여야 네가 여호와의 이름으로 진실한 것으로만 내게 고하겠느냐
17 And he said, I saw all Israelscattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORDsaid, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace.[x]MKJV: And he said, I saw all Israel scattered on the hills, like sheep that have no shepherd. And the LORD said, These have no master. Let each man return to his house in peace. BBE: Then he said, I saw all Israel wandering on the mountains like sheep without a keeper; and the Lord said, These have no master: let them go back, every man to his house in peace. 17 저가 가로되 내가 보니 온 이스라엘이 목자 없는 양 같이 산에 흩어졌는데 여호와의 말씀이 이 무리가 주인이 없으니 각각 평안히 그 집으로 돌아갈 것이니라 하셨나이다
18 And the king of Israelsaid unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?[x]MKJV: And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell you that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil? BBE: And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not say that he would not be a prophet of good but of evil? 18 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not say that he would not be a prophet of good but of evil?

19 And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORDsitting on his throne, and all the host of heavenstanding by him on his right hand and on his left.[x]MKJV: And he said, Hear therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by Him on His right hand and on His left. BBE: And he said, Give ear now to the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord seated on his seat of power, with all the army of heaven in their places round him at his right hand and at his left. 19 미가야가 가로되 그런즉 왕은 여호와의 말씀을 들으소서 내가 보니 여호와께서 그 보좌에 앉으셨고 하늘의 만군이 그 좌우편에 모시고 서 있는데
20 And the LORDsaid, Who shall persuadeAhab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead?ㆍ And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.[x]MKJV: And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab that he may go up and fall at Ramoth in Gilead? And one said this way, and another said that way. BBE: And the Lord said, How may Ahab be tricked into going up to Ramoth-gilead to his death? And one said one thing and one another. 20 And the Lord said, How may Ahab be tricked into going up to Ramoth-gilead to his death? And one said one thing and one another.

21 And there came forth a spirit, and stoodbefore the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.[x]MKJV: And there came forth a spirit and stood before the LORD and said, I will entice him. BBE: Then a spirit came forward and took his place before the Lord and said, I will get him to do it by a trick. KAV: 한 영이 나아와 {주} 앞에 서서 이르되, 내가 그를 설득하겠나이다, 하거늘 TSK: And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.: 1ki 22:23, job 1:6,7, job 2:1
21 Then a spirit came forward and took his place before the Lord and said, I will get him to do it by a trick.
21 한 영이 나아와 여호와 앞에 서서 말하되 내가 저를 꾀이겠나이다
22 And the LORDsaid unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lyingspirit in the mouth of all his prophets. 53 For he servedBaal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger the LORDGod of Israel, according to all that his father had done.[x]MKJV: And [he] did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
