1 Now in the eighteenth ㆍ year of king Jeroboam the son of Nebat reigned Abijam over Judah.1 Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, Abijam became king over Judah.1 느밧의 아들 여로보암왕 제 십팔년에 아비얌이 유다 왕이 되고
2 Three years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.2 For three years he was king in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Maacah, the daughter of Abishalom.2 예루살렘에서 삼년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 마아가라 아비살롬의 딸이더라
3 And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.3 And he did the same sins which his father had done before him: his heart was not completely true to the Lord his God, like the heart of David his father.3 아비얌이 그 부친의 이미 행한 모든 죄를 행하고 그 마음이 그 조상 다윗의 마음 같지 아니하여 그 하나님 여호와 앞에 온전치 못하였으나
4 Nevertheless for David's sake did the LORD his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:4 But because of David, the Lord gave him a light in Jerusalem, making his sons king after him, so that Jerusalem might be safe;4 그 하나님 여호와께서 다윗을 위하여 예루살렘에서 저에게 등불을 주시되 그 아들을 세워 후사가 되게 하사 예루살렘을 견고케 하셨으니
5 Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.5 Because David did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, and never in all his life went against his orders, but only in the question of Uriah the Hittite.5 이는 다윗이 헷 사람 우리아의 일 외에는 평생에 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하고 자기에게 명하신 모든 일을 어기지 아니하였음이라
6 And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.6 ...6 르호보암과 여로보암 사이에 사는 날 동안 전쟁이 있었더니
7 Now the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 8 And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead.8 Then Abijam went to rest with his fathers, and they put him into the earth in the town of David: and Asa his son became king in his place.8 아비얌이 그 열조와 함께 자니 다윗성에 장사되고 그 아들 아사가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
9 And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah.9 In the twentieth year that Jeroboam was king of Israel, Asa became king over Judah.9 이스라엘왕 여로보암 제 이십년에 아사가 유다 왕이 되어
10 And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.10 And he was king for forty-one years in Jerusalem; his mother's name was Maacah, the daughter of Abishalom.10 예루살렘에서 사십 일년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 마아가라 아비살롬의 딸이더라
11 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.11 Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as David his father did.11 아사가 그 조상 다윗 같이 여호와 보시기에 정직하게 행하여
12 And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.12 Those used for sex purposes in the worship of the gods he sent out of the country, and he took away all the images which his fathers had made.12 남색하는 자를 그 땅에서 쫓아내고 그 열조의 지은 모든 우상을 없이 하고
13 And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.13 And he would not let Maacah his mother be queen, because she had made a disgusting image for Asherah; and Asa had the image cut down and burned by the stream Kidron.13 또 그 모친 마아가가 아세라의 가증한 우상을 만들었으므로 태후의 위를 폐하고 그 우상을 찍어서 기드론 시냇가에서 불살랐으나
14 But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days.14 The high places, however, were not taken away: but still the heart of Asa was true to the Lord all his life.14 오직 산당은 없이 하지 아니하니라 그러나 아사의 마음이 일평생 여호와 앞에 온전하였으며
15 And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the LORD, silver, and gold, and vessels.15 He took into the house of the Lord all the things which his father had made holy, and those which he himself had made holy, silver and gold and vessels.15 저가 그 부친의 구별한 것과 자기의 구별한 것을 여호와의 전에 받들어 드렸으니 곧 은과 금과 기명들이더라
16 And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.16 Now there was war between Asa and Baasha, king of Israel, all their days.16 아사와 이스라엘 왕 바아사 사이에 일생 전쟁이 있으니라
17 And Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.17 And Baasha, king of Israel, went up against Judah, building Ramah, so that no one was able to go out or in to Asa, king of Judah.17 이스라엘 왕 바아사가 유다를 치러 올라와서 라마를 건축하여 사람을 유다 왕 아사에게 왕래하지 못하게 하려한지라
18 Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants: and king Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,18 Then Asa took all the silver and gold which was still stored in the Lord's house, and in the king's house, and sent them, in the care of his servants, to Ben-hadad, son of Tabrimmon, son of Rezon, king of Aram, at Damascus, saying,18 아사가 여호와의 전 곳간과 왕궁 곳간에 남은 은금을 몰수히 취하여 그 신복의 손에 붙여 다메섹에 거한 아람 왕 헤시온의 손자 다브림몬의 아들 벤하닷에게 보내며 가로되
19 There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent unto thee a present of silver and gold; come and break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.19 Let there be an agreement between me and you as there was between my father and your father: see, I have sent you an offering of silver and gold; go and put an end to your agreement with Baasha, king of Israel, so that he may give up attacking me.19 나와 당신 사이에 약조가 있고 내 부친과 당신의 부친 사이에도 있었느니라 내가 당신에게 은금 예물을 보내었으니 와서 이스라엘 왕 바아사와 세운 약조를 깨뜨려서 저로 나를 떠나게 하라 하매
20 So Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of the hosts which he had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelbethmaachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.20 So Ben-hadad did as King Asa said, and sent the captains of his armies against the towns of Israel, attacking Ijon and Dan and Abel-beth-maacah, and all Chinneroth as far as all the land of Naphtali.20 벤하닷이 아사왕의 말을 듣고 그 군대장관들을 보내어 이스라엘 성들을 치되 이욘과 단과 아벨벧마아가와 긴네렛 온 땅과 납달리 온 땅을 쳤더니
21 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.21 And Baasha, hearing of it, put a stop to the building of Ramah, and was living in Tirzah.21 바아사가 듣고 라마 건축하는 일을 그치고 디르사에 거하니라
22 Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha had builded; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.22 Then King Asa got all Judah together, making every man come; and they took away the stones and the wood with which Baasha was building Ramah, and King Asa made use of them for building Geba in the land of Benjamin, and Mizpah.22 이에 아사왕이 온 유다에 영을 내려 한 사람도 모면하지 못하게 하여 바아사가 라마를 건축하던 돌과 재목을 가져오게 하고 그것으로 베냐민의 게바와 미스바를 건축하였더라
23 The rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.23 Now the rest of the acts of Asa, and his power, and all he did, and the towns of which he was the builder, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah? But when he was old he had a disease of the feet.23 아사의 남은 사적과 모든 권세와 무릇 그 행한 일과 성읍을 건축한 것이 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐 그러나 저가 늙을 때에 발에 병이 있었더라
24 And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.24 So Asa went to rest with his fathers and was put into the earth in the town of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son became king in his place.24 아사가 그 열조와 함께 자매 그 열조와 함께 그 조상 다윗의 성에 장사되고 그 아들 여호사밧이 대신하여 왕이 되니라
25 And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years.25 Nadab, the son of Jeroboam, became king over Israel in the second year that Asa was king of Judah; and he was king of Israel for two years.25 유다 왕 아사 제 이년에 여로보암의 아들 나답이 이스라엘 왕이 되어 이년을 이스라엘을 다스리니라
26 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.26 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, copying the evil ways of his father, and the sin which he did and made Israel do.26 저가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하되 그 아비의 길로 행하며 그가 이스라엘로 범하게 한 그 죄중에 행한지라
27 And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel laid siege to Gibbethon.27 And Baasha, the son of Ahijah, of the family of Issachar, made a secret design against him, attacking him at Gibbethon, a town of the Philistines; for Nadab and the armies of Israel were making war on Gibbethon.27 이에 잇사갈 족속 아히야의 아들 바아사가 저를 모반하여 블레셋 사람에게 속한 깁브돈에서 저를 죽였으니 이는 나답과 온 이스라엘이 깁브돈을 에워싸고 있었음이더라
28 Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead.28 In the third year of the rule of Asa, king of Judah, Baasha put him to death, and became king in his place.28 유다 왕 아사 제 삼년에 바아사가 나답을 죽이고 대신하여 왕이 되고
29 And it came to pass, when he reigned, that he smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according unto the saying of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite:29 And straight away when he became king, he sent destruction on all the offspring of Jeroboam; there was not one living person of all the family of Jeroboam whom he did not put to death, so the word of the Lord, which he said by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite, came about;29 왕이 될 때에 여로보암의 온 집을 쳐서 생명 있는 자를 하나도 남기지 아니하고 다 멸하였는데 여호와께서 그 종 실로 사람 아히야로 하신 말씀과 같이 되었으니
30 Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger.30 Because of the sins which Jeroboam did and made Israel do, moving the Lord, the God of Israel, to wrath.30 이는 여로보암이 범죄하고 또 이스라엘로 범하게 한 죄로 인함이며 또 저가 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 노를 격동시킨 일을 인함이었더라
31 Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?31 Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all he did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel?31 나답의 남은 사적과 무릇 행한 일이 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
