1 At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.1 At that time Abijah, the son of Jeroboam, became ill.1 그 때에 여로보암의 아들 아비야가 병든지라
2 And Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh: behold, there is Ahijah the prophet, which told me that I should be king over this people.2 And Jeroboam said to his wife, Now come, put on different clothing so that you may not seem to be the wife of Jeroboam, and go to Shiloh; see, Ahijah is there, the prophet who said I would be king over this people.2 여로보암이 그 아내에게 이르되 청컨대 일어나 변장하여 사람으로 그대가 여로보암의 아내임을 알지 못하게 하고 실로로 가라 거기 선지자 아히야가 있나니 저는 이전에 내가 이 백성의 왕이 될 것을 내게 고한 사람이니라
3 And take with thee ten loaves, and cracknels, and a cruse of honey, and go to him: he shall tell thee what shall become of the child.3 And take with you ten cakes of bread and dry cakes and a pot of honey, and go to him: he will give you word of what is to become of the child.3 그대의 손에 떡 열과 과자와 꿀 한 병을 가지고 그에게로 가라 저가 그대에게 이 아이의 어떻게 될 것을 알게 하리라
4 And Jeroboam's wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age.4 So Jeroboam's wife did so, and got up and went to Shiloh and came to the house of Ahijah. Now Ahijah was unable to see, because he was very old.4 여로보암의 아내가 그대로 하여 일어나 실로로 가서 아히야의 집에 이르니 아히야는 나이로 인하여 눈이 어두워 보지 못하더라
5 And the LORD said unto Ahijah, Behold, the wife of Jeroboam cometh to ask a thing of thee for her son; for he is sick: thus and thus shalt thou say unto her: for it shall be, when she cometh in, that she shall feign herself to be another woman.5 And the Lord had said to Ahijah, The wife of Jeroboam is coming to get news from you about her son, who is ill; give her such and such an answer; for she will make herself seem to be another woman.5 여호와께서 아히야에게 이르시되 여로보암의 아내가 그 아들이 병듦을 인하여 네게 물으러 오나니 너는 이리이리 대답하라 저가 들어올 때에 다른 사람인체 함이니라
6 And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.6 Then Ahijah, hearing the sound of her footsteps coming in at the door, said, Come in, O wife of Jeroboam; why do you make yourself seem like another? for I am sent to you with bitter news.6 저가 문으로 들어올 때에 아히야가 그 발소리를 듣고 말하되 여로보암의 처여 들어오라 네가 어찌하여 다른 사람인체 하느뇨 내가 명령을 받아 흉한 일로 네게 고하리니
7 Go, tell Jeroboam, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Forasmuch as I exalted thee from among the people, and made thee prince over my people Israel,7 Go, say to Jeroboam, These are the words of the Lord, the God of Israel: Though I took you from among the people, lifting you up to be a ruler over my people Israel,7 가서 여로보암에게 고하라 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 내가 너를 백성 중에서 들어 내 백성 이스라엘의 주권자가 되게 하고
8 And rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed ㆍ me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in mine eyes;8 And took the kingdom away by force from the seed of David and gave it to you, you have not been like my servant David, who kept my orders, and was true to me with all his heart, doing only what was right in my eyes.8 나라를 다윗의 집에서 찢어 내어 네게 주었거늘 너는 내 종 다윗이 나의 명령을 지켜 전심으로 나를 좇으며 나 보기에 정직한 일만 행하였음과 같지 아니하고
9 But hast done evil above all that were before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back:9 But you have done evil more than any before you, and have made for yourself other gods, and images of metal, moving me to wrath, and turning your back on me.9 너의 이전 사람들보다도 악을 행하고 가서 너를 위하여 다른 신을 만들며 우상을 부어만들어 나의 노를 격발하고 나를 네 등 뒤에 버렸도다
10 Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as a man taketh away dung, till it be all gone.10 So I will send evil on the line of Jeroboam, cutting off from his family every male child, those who are shut up and those who go free in Israel; the family of Jeroboam will be brushed away like a man brushing away waste till it is all gone.10 그러므로 내가 여로보암의 집에 재앙을 내려 여로보암에게 속한 사내는 이스라엘 가운데 매인 자나 놓인 자나 다 끊어 버리되 거름을 쓸어 버림 같이 여로보암의 집을 말갛게 쓸어 버릴찌라
11 Him that dieth of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat: for the LORD hath spoken it.11 Those of the family of Jeroboam who come to death in the town, will become food for the dogs; and those on whom death comes in the open country, will be food for the birds of the air; for the Lord has said it.11 여로보암에게 속한 자가 성에서 죽은즉 개가 먹고 들에서 죽은즉 공중의 새가 먹으리니 이는 여호와가 말하였음이니라 하셨나니
12 Arise thou therefore, get thee to thine own house: and when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die.12 Up, then! go back to your house; and in the hour when your feet go into the town, the death of the child will take place.12 너는 일어나 네 집으로 가라 네 발이 성에 들어갈 때에 그 아이가 죽을찌라
13 And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him: for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him there is found some good thing toward the LORD God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam.13 And all Israel will put his body to rest, weeping over him, because he only of the family of Jeroboam will be put into his resting-place in the earth; for of all the family of Jeroboam, in him only has the Lord, the God of Israel, seen some good.13 온 이스라엘이 저를 위하여 슬퍼하며 장사하려니와 여로보암에게 속한 자는 오직 이 아이만 묘실에 들어가리니 이는 여로보암의 집 가운데서 저가 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 향하여 선한 뜻을 품었음이니라
14 Moreover the LORD shall raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now.14 And the Lord will put up a king over Israel who will send destruction on the family of Jeroboam in that day;14 여호와께서 이스라엘의 위에 한 왕을 일으키신즉 저가 그 날에 여로보암의 집을 끊어 버리리라 어느 때냐 곧 이제라
15 For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to anger.15 And even now the hand of the Lord has come down on Israel, shaking it like a river-grass in the water; and, uprooting Israel from this good land, which he gave to their fathers, he will send them this way and that on the other side of the River; because they have made for themselves images, moving the Lord to wrath.15 여호와께서 이스라엘을 쳐서 물에서 흔들리는 갈대 같이 되게 하시고 이스라엘을 그 열조에게 주신 이 좋은 땅에서 뽑아 저희를 하수 밖으로 흩으시리니 저희가 아세라 목상을 만들어 여호와를 진노케 하였음이니라
16 And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin.16 And he will give Israel up because of the sins which Jeroboam has done and made Israel do.16 여호와께서 여로보암의 죄로 인하여 이스라엘을 버리시리니 이는 저도 범죄하고 이스라엘로 범죄케 하였음이니라 하니라
17 And Jeroboam's wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah: and when she came to the threshold of the door, the child died;17 Then Jeroboam's wife got up and went away and came to Tirzah; and when she came to the doorway of the house, death came to the child.17 여로보암의 처가 일어나 디르사로 돌아가서 집 문지방에 이를 때에 아이가 죽은지라
18 And they buried him; and all Israel mourned for him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by the hand of his servant Ahijah the prophet.18 And all Israel put his body to rest, weeping over him, as the Lord had said by his servant Ahijah the prophet.18 온 이스라엘이 저를 장사하고 저를 위하여 슬퍼하니 여호와께서 그 종 선지자 아히야로 하신 말씀과 같이 되었더라
19 And the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he warred, and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.19 Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he made war and how he became king, are recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel.19 여로보암의 그 남은 행적 곧 저가 어떻게 싸운 것과 어떻게 다스린 것은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되니라
20 And the days which Jeroboam reigned were two and twenty years: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his son reigned in his stead.20 And Jeroboam was king for twenty-two years, and was put to rest with his fathers, and Nadab his son became king in his place.20 여로보암이 왕이 된지 이십이년이라 저가 그 열조와 함께 자매 그 아들 나답이 대신하여 왕이 되니라
21 And Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen ㆍ years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD did choose out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess.21 And Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, was king in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king, and he was king for seventeen years in Jerusalem, the town which the Lord had made his out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there; his mother's name was Naamah, an Ammonite woman.21 솔로몬의 아들 르호보암은 유다 왕이 되었으니 르호보암이 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 사십일세라 여호와께서 자기 이름을 두시려고 이스라엘 모든 지파 가운데서 빼신 성 예루살렘에서 십 칠년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 나아마라 암몬 사람이더라
22 And Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked him to jealousy with their sins which they had committed, above all that their fathers had done.22 And Judah did evil in the eyes of the Lord, and made him more angry than their fathers had done by their sins.22 유다가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하되 그 열조의 행한 모든 일보다 뛰어나게 하여 그 범한 죄로 여호와의 노를 격발하였으니
23 For they also built them high places, and images, and groves, on every high hill, and under every green tree.23 For they made high places and upright stones and wood pillars on every high hill and under every green tree;23 이는 저희도 산 위에와 모든 푸른 나무 아래 산당과 우상과 아세라 목상을 세웠음이라
24 And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.24 And more than this, there were those in the land who were used for sex purposes in the worship of the gods, doing the same disgusting crimes as the nations which the Lord had sent out before the children of Israel.24 그 땅에 또 남색하는 자가 있었고 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 쫓아내신 국민의 모든 가증한 일을 무리가 본받아 행하였더라
25 And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem:25 Now in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak, king of Egypt, came up against Jerusalem;25 르호보암왕 제 오년에 애굽 왕 시삭이 올라와서 예루살렘을 치고
26 And he took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house; he even took away all: and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made.26 And took away all the stored wealth from the house of the Lord, and from the king's house, and all the gold body-covers which Solomon had made.26 여호와의 전의 보물과 왕궁의 보물을 몰수히 빼앗고 또 솔로몬의 만든 금방패를 다 빼앗은지라
27 And king Rehoboam made in their stead brazen shields, and committed them unto the hands of the chief of the guard, which kept the door of the king's house.27 So in their place King Rehoboam had other body-covers made of brass, and gave them into the care of the captains of the armed men who were stationed at the door of the king's house.27 르호보암왕이 그 대신 놋으로 방패를 만들어 왕궁 문을 지키는 시위대 장관의 손에 맡기매
28 And it was so, when the king went into the house of the LORD, that the guard bare them, and brought them back into the guard chamber.28 And whenever the king went into the house of the Lord, the armed men went with him taking the body-covers, and then took them back to their room.28 왕이 여호와의 전에 들어갈 때마다 시위하는 자가 그 방패를 들고 갔다가 시위소로 도로 가져갔더라
29 Now the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?29 Now the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, and all he did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah?29 르호보암의 남은 사적과 무릇 그 행한 일이 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
30 And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all their days.30 And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all their days.30 르호보암과 여로보암 사이에 항상 전쟁이 있으니라
31 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess. And Abijam his son reigned in his stead.31 And Rehoboam went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth with his fathers in the town of David; his mother's name was Naamah, an Ammonite woman.
