1 Now the queen of Sheba, hearing great things of Solomon, came to put his wisdom to the test with hard questions.

2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels weighted down with spices, and stores of gold and jewels: and when she came to Solomon she had talk with him of everything in her mind.

3 And Solomontold her all her questions: there was not anythinghid from the king, which he told her not.[x]MKJV: And Solomon answered all her questions for her. 6 And she said to the king, It was a truereport that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.[x]MKJV: And she said to the king, It was a true report which I heard in my own land of your acts and of your wisdom. 7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seenit: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperityexceedeth the fame which I heard.[x]MKJV: And I did not believe the words until I came and my eyes had seen. And behold! The half was not told me. Your wisdom and blessings are more than the fame which I heard. BBE: But I had no faith in what was said about you, till I came and saw for myself; and now I see that it was not half the story; your wisdom and your wealth are much greater than they said. 7 But I had no faith in what was said about you, till I came and saw for myself; and now I see that it was not half the story; your wisdom and your wealth are much greater than they said.

8Happyare thy men, happyare these thy servants, which standcontinuallybefore thee, and that hear thy wisdom.[x]MKJV: Happy [are] your men, happy are these who are your servants, who stand always before you, and who hear your wisdom. 10 And she gave the king an hundred and twentytalents of gold, and of spicesvery great store, and preciousstones: there came no more suchabundance of spices as these which the queen of Shebagave to kingSolomon.[x]MKJV: And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, a very great store of spices, and precious stones. No spice like that came any more for abundance, that the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon. BBE: And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and a great store of spices and jewels: never again was such a wealth of spices seen as that which the queen of Sheba gave King Solomon. 10 이에 저가 금 일백 이십 달란트와 심히 많은 향품과 보석을 왕께 드렸으니 스바 여왕이 솔로몬왕께 드린 것처럼 많은 향품이 다시 오지 아니하였더라
11 And the navy also of Hiram, that broughtgold from Ophir, brought in from Ophirgreatplenty of almugtrees, and preciousstones.[x]MKJV: And also the navy of Hiram which brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great abundance of almug trees and precious stones. BBE: And the sea-force of Hiram, in addition to gold from Ophir, came back with much sandal-wood and jewels. 12 And the kingmade of the almugtreespillars for the house of the LORD, and for the king'shouse, harps also and psalteries for singers: there came no such almugtrees, nor were seen unto this day.[x]MKJV: And the king made of the almug trees a support for the house of the LORD, and for the king's house, also lyres and harps for singers. No such almug wood has come or been seen to this day. BBE: And from the sandal-wood the king made pillars for the house of the Lord, and for the king's house, and instruments of music for the makers of melody: never has such sandal-wood been seen to this day. 12 왕이 백단목으로 여호와의 전과 왕궁의 난간을 만들고 또 노래하는 자를 위하여 수금과 비파를 만들었으니 이같은 백단목은 전에도 온 일이 없었고 오늘까지도 보지 못하였더라]
13 And kingSolomongave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which Solomongave her of his royalbounty. 17 And he madethreehundredshieldsofbeatengold; threepound of goldwent to oneshield: and the kingput them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.[x]MKJV: And [he made] three hundred shields of beaten gold; three minas of gold went into one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon. 17 And he made three hundred smaller body-covers of hammered gold, with three pounds of gold in every cover: and the king put them in the house of the Woods of Lebanon.
17 또 쳐서 늘인 금으로 작은 방패 삼백을 만들었으니 매 방패에 든 금이 삼 마네라 왕이 이것들을 레바논 나무 궁에 두었더라
18 Moreover the kingmade a greatthrone of ivory, and overlaid it with the bestgold.[x]MKJV: And the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the best gold. 19 The throne had sixsteps, and the top of the thronewasroundbehind: and there werestays on either side on the place of the seat, and twolionsstoodbeside the stays.[x]MKJV: The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne [was] round in the back part. 19 There were six steps going up to it, and the top of it was round at the back, there were arms on the two sides of the seat, and two lions by the side of the arms;
19 그 보좌에는 여섯 층계가 있고 보좌 뒤에 둥근 머리가 있고 앉는 자리 양편에는 팔걸이가 있고 팔걸이 곁에는 사자가 하나씩 섰으며
20 And twelveㆍlionsstood there on the one side and on the other upon the sixsteps: there was not the likemade in any kingdom.[x]MKJV: and two lions were standing on the six steps, on this and on that [side]. There was not the like made in any kingdom. BBE: And twelve lions were placed on the one side and on the other side on the six steps: there was nothing like it in any kingdom. 21 And all kingSolomon'sdrinkingvesselswere ofgold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanonwere ofpuregold; none were ofsilver: it was nothingaccounted of in the days of Solomon.[x]MKJV: And all King Solomon's drinking vessels [were of] gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon [were of] pure gold. None were of silver; it was counted nothing in the days of Solomon. 21 솔로몬왕의 마시는 그릇은 다 금이요 레바논 나무 궁의 그릇들도 다 정금이라 은 기물이 없으니 솔로몬의 시대에 은을 귀히 여기지 아니함은
22 For the king had at sea a navy of Tharshish with the navy of Hiram: once in threeyearscame the navy of Tharshish, bringinggold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.[x]MKJV: For the king had at sea a navy of Tarshish with the navy of Hiram. Once in three years the navy of Tarshish came bringing gold and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks. 23 So kingSolomonexceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.[x]MKJV: And King Solomon was greater than all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom. 25 And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rateyear by year.[x]MKJV: And every man brought his presents, vessels of silver and vessels of gold, and clothing and armor, and spices, horses and mules, so much year by year. 29 A war-carriage might be got from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty; they got them at the same rate for all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Aram.
29 애굽에서 내어올린 병거는 하나에 은 육백 세겔이요 말은 일백 오십 세겔이라 이와 같이 헷 사람의 모든 왕과 아람 왕들을 위하여도 그 손으로 내어왔더라
