20 And thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israelare upon thee, that thou shouldest tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the kingafter him.[x]MKJV: And you, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel [are] upon you, that you should tell them who shall sit upon the throne of my lord the king after him. BBE: And now, my lord the king, the eyes of all Israel are on you, waiting for you to say who is to take the place of my lord the king after him. BBE: For as things are, it will come about, when my lord the king is sleeping with his fathers, that I and Solomon my son will be made outlaws. 24 And Nathansaid, My lord, O king, hast thou said, Adonijah shall reignafter me, and he shall sit upon my throne?[x]MKJV: And Nathan said, My lord, O king, have you said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? BBE: And Nathan said, O my lord king, have you said, Adonijah is to be king after me, seated on the seat of my kingdom? KAV: 이르되, 오 왕이여, 내 주께서 말씀하시기를, 아도니야가 나를 이어 통치하고 내 왕좌에 앉으리라, 하셨나이까? 29 And the king took an oath, and said, By the living Lord, who has been my saviour from all my troubles,

30 Even as I sware unto thee by the LORDGod of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reignafter me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do this day.[x]MKJV: surely as I swore to you by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Surely Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place, even so I will do today. And Adonijah said to him, Come in, for you [are] a mighty man and you bring good news. This [is] the noise that you heard. 47 또 왕의 신복들이 와서 우리 주 다윗왕에게 축복하여 이르기를 왕의 하나님이 솔로몬의 이름을 왕의 이름보다 아름답게 하시고 그 위를 왕의 위보다 크게 하시기를 원하나이다 하매 왕이 침상에서 몸을 굽히고
48 And also thus said the king, Blessedbe the LORDGod of Israel, which hath givenone to sit on my throne this day, mine eyes even seeingit.[x]MKJV: And also the king said, Blessed [is] the LORD God of Israel, who has given one to sit on my throne today, my eyes even seeing [it]. BBE: Then the king said, May the God of Israel be praised, who has given one of my seed to be king in my place this day and has let my eyes see it. 49 And all the guests that were with Adonijah were afraid, and rose up, and went every man his way.[x]MKJV: And all those who were invited by Adonijah trembled and arose and left, each to his way. BBE: And Adonijah himself was full of fear because of Solomon; and he got up and went to the altar, and put his hands on its horns. 50 And Adonijah himself was full of fear because of Solomon; and he got up and went to the altar, and put his hands on its horns.
50 아도니야도 솔로몬을 두려워하여 일어나 가서 제단 뿔을 잡으니
51 And it was toldSolomon, saying, Behold, AdonijahfearethkingSolomon: for, lo, he hath caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let kingSolomonswear unto me to day that he will not slay his servant with the sword.[x]MKJV: And it was told to Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah fears King Solomon. For, lo, he has caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear to me today that he will not kill his servant with the sword. BBE: And they gave Solomon word of it, saying, See, Adonijah goes in such fear of King Solomon, that he has put his hands on the horns of the altar, saying, Let King Solomon first give me his oath that he will not put his servant to death with the sword. 51 And they gave Solomon word of it, saying, See, Adonijah goes in such fear of King Solomon, that he has put his hands on the horns of the altar, saying, Let King Solomon first give me his oath that he will not put his servant to death with the sword.
51 혹이 솔로몬에게 고하여 가로되 아도니야가 솔로몬왕을 두려워하여 지금 제단 뿔을 잡고 말하기를 솔로몬왕이 오늘날 칼로 자기 종을 죽이지 않겠다고 내게 맹세하기를 원한다 하나이다
52 And Solomonsaid, If he will show himself a worthyman, there shall not an hair of him fall to the earth: but if wickedness shall be found in him, he shall die.[x]MKJV: And Solomon said, If he becomes a son of virtue, not a hair of his head shall fall to the earth. But if wickedness shall be found in him, then he shall die. BBE: And Solomon said, If he is seen to be a man of good faith, not a hair of him will be touched; but if any wrongdoing is seen in him, he is to be put to death. 52 And Solomon said, If he is seen to be a man of good faith, not a hair of him will be touched; but if any wrongdoing is seen in him, he is to be put to death.
52 솔로몬이 가로되 저가 만일 선한 사람이 될찐대 그 머리카락 하나라도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하려니와 저의 가운데 악한 것이 보이면 죽으리라 하고
53 So kingSolomonsent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came and bowed himself to kingSolomon: and Solomonsaid unto him, Go to thine house.[x]MKJV: And King Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came and bowed himself to king Solomon. And Solomon said to him, Go to your house. BBE: So King Solomon sent, and they took him down from the altar. 53 So King Solomon sent, and they took him down from the altar. And he came and gave honour to King Solomon; and Solomon said to him, Go to your house.
53 사람을 보내어 저를 제단에서 이끌어 내리니 저가 와서 솔로몬왕께 절하매 솔로몬이 이르기를 네 집으로 가라 하였더라
