1 Now it came to pass, as Davidsat in his house, that Davidsaid to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORDremaineth under curtains.[x]MKJV: And it happened as David sat in his house, David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in a house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD [is] under curtains. 1 Now when David was living in his house, he said to Nathan the prophet, See, I am living in a house of cedar-wood, but the ark of the Lord's agreement is under the curtains of a tent.
1 다윗이 그 궁실에 거할 때에 선지자 나단에게 이르되 나는 백향목 궁에 거하거늘 여호와의 언약궤는 휘장 밑에 있도다
2 Then Nathansaid unto David, Do all that is in thine heart; for Godis with thee.[x]MKJV: And Nathan said to David, Do all that [is] in your heart, for God [is] with you. BBE: And Nathan said to David, Do whatever is in your heart, for God is with you. KAV: 그때에 나단이 다윗에게 이르되, [하나님]께서 왕과 함께 계시오니 왕의 마음속에 있는 바를 다 행하소서, 하니라.
2 And Nathan said to David, Do whatever is in your heart, for God is with you.
2 나단이 다윗에게 고하되 하나님이 왕과 함께 계시니 무릇 마음에 있는바를 행하소서
3 And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,[x]MKJV: And it happened the same night the word of God came to Nathan, saying, BBE: But that same night, the word of God came to Nathan, saying, KAV: ¶ 바로 그 밤에 [하나님]의 말씀이 나단에게 임하니라. 이르시되,

4Go and tellDavid my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me an house to dwell in:[x]MKJV: Go and tell David My servant, So says the LORD, You shall not build Me a house to dwell in. BBE: Go and say to David my servant, The Lord says, You are not to make me a house for my living-place: KAV: 가서 내 종 다윗에게 고하기를, {주}가 이같이 말하노라. 너는 나를 위해 거할 집을 건축하지 말라.
4 Go and say to David my servant, The Lord says, You are not to make me a house for my living-place:
4 가서 내 종 다윗에게 말하기를 여호와의 말씀이 너는 나의 거할 집을 건축하지 말라
5 For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought upIsrael unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from onetabernacleto another.[x]MKJV: For I have not dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up Israel until today, but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle [to another.] BBE: For from the day when I took Israel up, till this day, I have had no house, but have gone from tent to tent, and from living-place to living-place. KAV: 내가 이스라엘을 데리고 올라온 날부터 이 날까지 집에 거하지 아니하고 장막에서 장막으로, 한 성막에서 다른 성막으로 옮겨 다녔나니
5 For from the day when I took Israel up, till this day, I have had no house, but have gone from tent to tent, and from living-place to living-place.
5 내가 이스라엘을 올라오게 한 날부터 오늘날까지 집에 거하지 아니하고 오직 이 장막과 저 장막에 있으며 이 성막과 저 성막에 있었나니
6 Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?[x]MKJV: Wherever I have walked with all Israel, did I speak a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed My people, saying, Why have you not built Me a house of cedars? BBE: In all the places where I have gone with all Israel, did I ever say to any of the judges of Israel, whom I made the keepers of my people, Why have you not made for me a house of cedar? KAV: 내가 온 이스라엘과 함께 걸은 모든 곳에서 내가 내 백성을 먹이라고 명령한 이스라엘의 재판관들 가운데 어느 누구에게 이르기를, 너희가 어찌하여 나를 위해 백향목 집을 건축하지 아니하였느냐, 하고 한 마디라도 말하였느냐?
6 In all the places where I have gone with all Israel, did I ever say to any of the judges of Israel, whom I made the keepers of my people, Why have you not made for me a house of cedar?
6 무릇 이스라엘 무리로 더불어 행하는 곳에서 내가 내 백성을 먹이라고 명한 이스라엘 어느 사사에게 내가 말하기를 너희가 어찌하여 나를 위하여 백향목 집을 건축하지 아니하였느냐고 말하였느냐 하고
7 Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servantDavid, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my peopleIsrael:[x]MKJV: And now you shall say this to My servant David, So says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, so that you should be ruler over My people Israel. BBE: So now, say to my servant David, The Lord of armies says, I took you from the fields, from keeping sheep, so that you might be a ruler over my people Israel; KAV: 그런즉 이제 너는 내 종 다윗에게 이같이 이르라. 만군의 {주}가 이같이 말하노라. 내가 너를 양 우리에서 곧 양들을 따르는 일에서 취하여 내 백성 이스라엘을 다스릴 치리자로 삼았고
7 So now, say to my servant David, The Lord of armies says, I took you from the fields, from keeping sheep, so that you might be a ruler over my people Israel;
7 연하여 내 종 다윗에게 이처럼 말하라 만군의 여호와께서 이처럼 말씀하시기를 내가 너를 목장 곧 양을 따르는데서 취하여 내 백성 이스라엘의 주권자를 삼고
8 And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.[x]MKJV: And I have been with you wherever you have walked, and have cut off all your enemies from before you, and have made you a name like the name of the great men in the earth. BBE: And I have been with you wherever you went, cutting off before you all those who were against you; and I will make your name like the name of the greatest ones of the earth. KAV: 네가 어디에서 걷든지 내가 너와 함께하여 네 모든 원수를 네 앞에서 멸하였으며 땅에 있는 위대한 자들의 이름 같은 이름을 네게 만들어 주었노라.
8 And I have been with you wherever you went, cutting off before you all those who were against you; and I will make your name like the name of the greatest ones of the earth.
8 네가 어디를 가든지 내가 너와 함께 있어 네 모든 대적을 네 앞에서 멸하였은즉 세상에서 존귀한 자의 이름 같은 이름을 네게 만들어 주리라
9 Also I will ordain a place for my peopleIsrael, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickednesswaste them any more, as at the beginning,[x]MKJV: And I will set a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall live in their place and shall be moved no more; nor shall the sons of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning, BBE: And I will make a resting-place for my people Israel, planting them there, so that they may be in the place which is theirs and never again be moved; and never again will they be made waste by evil men, as they were at first, KAV: 또한 내가 내 백성 이스라엘을 위해 한 처소를 정하고 그들을 심으리니 그들이 자기 처소에 거하며 다시는 움직이지 아니하리라. 또 사악한 자손들이 다시는 처음과 같이
9 And I will make a resting-place for my people Israel, planting them there, so that they may be in the place which is theirs and never again be moved; and never again will they be made waste by evil men, as they were at first,
9 내가 또 내 백성 이스라엘을 위하여 한 곳을 정하여 저희를 심고 저희로 자기 곳에 거하여 다시는 옮기지 않게 하며 악한 유로 전과 같이 저희를 해하지 못하게 하여
10 And since the time that I commandedjudgesto be over my peopleIsrael. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house.[x]MKJV: and since the time that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel. And I will subdue all your enemies. And I declare to you that the LORD will build you a house. BBE: From the time when I put judges over my people Israel; and I will overcome all those who are against you; and I will make you great and the head of a line of kings. KAV: 또 전에 내가 재판관들에게 명령하여 내 백성 이스라엘을 다스리게 하던 때 이후와 같이 그들을 피폐하게 하지 못하리라. 또 내가 네 모든 원수를 복종시키리라. 또 내가 네게 {주}가 너를 위해 집을 세우리라고 말하노라.
10 From the time when I put judges over my people Israel; and I will overcome all those who are against you; and I will make you great and the head of a line of kings.
10 전에 내가 사사를 명하여 내 백성 이스라엘을 다스리던 때와 같지 않게 하고 또 네 모든 대적으로 네게 복종하게 하리라 또 네게 이르노니 여호와가 너를 위하여 집을 세울찌라
11 And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must goto be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seedafter thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.[x]MKJV: And it will be, when your days have ended so that you must go [to be] with your fathers, I will raise up your seed after you, who shall be from your sons. And I will make his kingdom sure. BBE: And when the time comes for you to go to your fathers, I will put in your place your seed after you, one of your sons, and I will make his kingdom strong. KAV: ¶ 네 날들이 다해 네가 반드시 네 조상들과 함께 있으려고 가야 할 때에 내가 네 뒤를 이을 네 씨 곧 네 아들들 중에서 하나를 일으키고 그의 왕국을 굳게 세우리니
11 And when the time comes for you to go to your fathers, I will put in your place your seed after you, one of your sons, and I will make his kingdom strong.
11 네 수한이 차서 네가 열조에게로 돌아가면 내가 네 뒤에 네 씨 곧 네 아들 중 하나를 세우고 그 나라를 견고하게 하리니
12 He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throneforever.[x]MKJV: He shall build Me a house, and I will establish his throne forever. BBE: He will be the builder of my house, and I will make the seat of his authority certain for ever. KAV: 그는 나를 위해 집을 건축할 것이요, 나는 그의 왕좌를 영원토록 굳게 세우리라.
12 He will be the builder of my house, and I will make the seat of his authority certain for ever.
12 저는 나를 위하여 집을 건축할 것이요 나는 그 위를 영원히 견고하게 하리라
13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercyaway from him, as I tookit from him that was before thee:[x]MKJV: I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. And I will not take My mercy away from him as I took [it] from him who was before you. BBE: I will be to him a father and he will be to me a son; and I will not take my mercy away from him as I took it from him who was before you; KAV: 나는 그의 아버지가 되고 그는 내 아들이 되리니 내가 네 전에 있던 자에게서 내 긍휼을 빼앗은 것 같이 그에게서 그것을 빼앗지 아니하며
13 I will be to him a father and he will be to me a son; and I will not take my mercy away from him as I took it from him who was before you;
13 나는 그 아비가 되고 그는 나의 아들이 되리니 나의 자비를 그에게서 빼앗지 아니하기를 내가 네 전에 있던 자에게서 빼앗음과 같이 하지 않을 것이며
14 But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be establishedforevermore.[x]MKJV: And I will settle him in My house, and in My kingdom forever. And his throne shall be established forever. BBE: But I will make his place in my house and in my kingdom certain for ever; and the seat of his authority will never be overturned. KAV: 오직 내가 영원히 그를 내 집과 내 왕국 안에 정착시키리니 그의 왕좌가 영원히 굳게 서리라, 하라.
14 But I will make his place in my house and in my kingdom certain for ever; and the seat of his authority will never be overturned.
14 내가 영영히 그를 내 집과 내 나라에 세우리니 그 위가 영원히 견고하리라 하셨다 하라
15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathanspeak unto David.[x]MKJV: According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David. BBE: So Nathan gave David an account of all these words and this vision. KAV: 나단이 이 모든 말씀과 이 모든 환상 계시대로 그렇게 다윗에게 말하니라.
15 So Nathan gave David an account of all these words and this vision.
15 나단이 이 모든 말씀과 이 모든 묵시대로 다윗에게 고하니라
16 And David the kingcame and satbefore the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORDGod, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?[x]MKJV: And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who [am] I, O, Jehovah God, and what is my house, that You have brought me here? BBE: Then David the king went in and took his seat before the Lord, and said, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my family, that you have been my guide till now? KAV: ¶ 다윗 왕이 가서 {주} 앞에 앉아 이르되, 오 {주} [하나님]이여, 나는 누구이오며 내 집은 무엇이기에 주께서 나를 여기까지 인도하셨나이까?
16 Then David the king went in and took his seat before the Lord, and said, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my family, that you have been my guide till now?
16 다윗왕이 여호와 앞에 들어가 앉아서 가로되 여호와 하나님이여 나는 누구오며 내 집은 무엇이관대 나로 이에 이르게 하셨나이까
17 And yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast alsospoken of thy servant'shouse for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORDGod.[x]MKJV: And this was a small thing in Your eyes, O God, for You have also spoken of Your servant's house for a great while to come, and have regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God. BBE: And this was only a small thing to you, O God; but your words have even been about the far-off future of your servant's family, looking on me as on one of high position, O Lord God. KAV: 오 [하나님]이여, 이것은 주의 눈에 오히려 작은 일이었으니 주께서는 먼 장래에 있을 주의 종의 집에 대하여 말씀하셨으며, 오 {주} [하나님]이여, 또 나를 높은 지위를 지닌 자같이 중히 여기셨나이다.
17 And this was only a small thing to you, O God; but your words have even been about the far-off future of your servant's family, looking on me as on one of high position, O Lord God.
17 하나님이여 주께서 이것을 오히려 작게 여기시고 또 종의 집에 대하여 먼 장래까지 말씀하셨사오니 여호와 하나님이여 나를 존귀한 자 같이 여기셨나이다
18 What canDavidspeakmore to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.[x]MKJV: What can David [say] more to You for the honor of Your servant? For You know Your servant! BBE: What more may David say to you? for you have knowledge of your servant. KAV: 주께서 주의 종을 아시오매 주의 종에게 베푸신 존귀에 대하여 다윗이 주께 더 무엇을 말할 수 있으리이까?
18 What more may David say to you? for you have knowledge of your servant.
18 주께서 주의 종에게 베푸신 존귀에 대하여 다윗이 다시 무슨 말씀을 하오리이까 주께서는 주의 종을 아시나이다
19 O LORD, for thy servant's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.[x]MKJV: O LORD, for Your servant's sake, and according to Your own heart, You have done all this greatness, in making known all [these] great things. BBE: O Lord, because of your servant, and from your heart, you have done all these great things and let them be seen. KAV: 오 {주}여, 주께서 주의 종을 위하여 주의 마음대로 이 모든 큰일을 행하사 이 모든 큰일을 알게 하셨나이다.
19 O Lord, because of your servant, and from your heart, you have done all these great things and let them be seen.
19 여호와여 주께서 주의 종을 위하여 주의 뜻대로 이 모든 큰 일을 행하사 이 모든 큰 일을 알게 하셨나이다
20 O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there anyGodbeside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.[x]MKJV: O LORD, [there is] none like You, neither [any] God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears. BBE: O Lord, there is no one like you, and no other God but you, as is clear from everything which has come to our ears. KAV: 오 {주}여, 우리가 우리 귀로 들은 모든 것에 따르면 주와 같은 이가 없고 주 외에는 [하나님]이 없나이다.
20 O Lord, there is no one like you, and no other God but you, as is clear from everything which has come to our ears.

21 And what onenation in the earthis like thy peopleIsrael, whom Godwent to redeemto be his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving outnations from before thy people, whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?[x]MKJV: And what one nation in the earth [is] like Your people Israel, whom God went to redeem [to be] His own people, to make You a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before Your people whom You have redeemed out of Egypt? BBE: And what other nation in the earth, like your people Israel, did a god go out to take for himself, to be his people, making his name great and to be feared, driving out the nations from before your people whom you made free and took out of Egypt? KAV: 땅의 어느 민족이 주의 백성 이스라엘과 같으니이까? [하나님]께서 가셔서 그들을 구속하사 자신의 백성으로 삼으시고 또 크고 두려운 일로 인하여 친히 이름을 내시며 이집트에서 구속하신 주의 백성 앞에서 민족들을 쫓아내셨사오니
21 And what other nation in the earth, like your people Israel, did a god go out to take for himself, to be his people, making his name great and to be feared, driving out the nations from before your people whom you made free and took out of Egypt?
21 땅의 어느 한 나라가 주의 백성 이스라엘과 같으리이까 하나님이 가서 구속하사 자기 백성을 삼으시고 크고 두려운 일로 인하여 이름을 얻으시고 애굽에서 구속하신 자기 백성 앞에서 열국을 쫓아내셨사오며
22 For thy peopleIsrael didst thou make thine own peopleforever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God.[x]MKJV: And You have chosen Your people Israel for Yourself, for a people forever. And You, LORD, became their God. BBE: For your people Israel you made yours for ever; and you, Lord, became their God. KAV: 주께서 주의 백성 이스라엘을 영원토록 주의 친 백성으로 삼으셨으며, {주}여, 주께서 그들의 [하나님]이 되셨나이다.
22 For your people Israel you made yours for ever; and you, Lord, became their God.
22 주께서 주의 백성 이스라엘로 영원히 주의 백성을 삼으셨사오니 여호와여 주께서 저희 하나님이 되셨나이다
23 Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be establishedforever, and do as thou hast said.[x]MKJV: And now, O LORD, let the thing which You have spoken concerning Your servant and concerning his house be established forever, and do as You have said. BBE: And now, Lord, let your words about your servant and about his family be made certain for ever, and do as you have said. KAV: 그러므로 {주}여, 이제 주께서 주의 종과 그의 집에 관하여 말씀하신 그 일을 영원토록 굳게 세우시오며 또 주께서 말씀하신 대로 행하사
23 And now, Lord, let your words about your servant and about his family be made certain for ever, and do as you have said.
23 여호와여 이제 주의 종과 그 집에 대하여 말씀하신 것을 영원히 견고케 하시며 말씀하신대로 행하사
24 Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnifiedforever, saying, The LORD of hostsis the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servantbeestablishedbefore thee.[x]MKJV: Let it even be established, so that Your name may be magnified forever, saying, The LORD of hosts [is] the God of Israel, a God to Israel. And [let] the house of David Your servant be established before You. BBE: So let your words be made certain and your name be made great, when men say, The Lord of armies is the God of Israel; and when the family of David your servant is made strong before you. KAV: 그 일을 굳게 세우시고 사람들이 주의 이름을 영원토록 크게 하여 이르기를, 만군의 {주}는 이스라엘의 [하나님] 곧 이스라엘에게 [하나님]이시라, 하게 하옵시며 또한 주의 종 다윗의 집이 주 앞에 굳게 서게 하옵소서.
24 So let your words be made certain and your name be made great, when men say, The Lord of armies is the God of Israel; and when the family of David your servant is made strong before you.
24 견고케 하시고 사람으로 영원히 주의 이름을 높여 이르기를 만군의 여호와는 이스라엘의 하나님 곧 이스라엘에게 하나님이시라 하게 하시며 주의 종 다윗의 집이 주 앞에서 견고히 서게 하옵소서
25 For thou, O my God, hast toldㆍ thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath foundin his heart to praybefore thee.[x]MKJV: For You, O my God, have told Your servant that You will build him a house. Therefore Your servant has found [in his heart] to pray before You. BBE: For you, O my God, have let your servant see that you will make him head of a line of kings; and so it has come into your servant's heart to make his prayer to you. KAV: 오 내 [하나님]이여, 주께서 주의 종을 위해 집을 건축할 것을 이미 종에게 말씀하셨으니 그러므로 주의 종이 주 앞에 기도 드려야 함을 마음속으로 알게 되었나이다.
25 For you, O my God, have let your servant see that you will make him head of a line of kings; and so it has come into your servant's heart to make his prayer to you.
25 나의 하나님이여 주께서 종을 위하여 집을 세우실 것을 이미 듣게 하셨으므로 주의 종이 주 앞에서 이 기도로 구할 마음이 생겼나이다
26 And now, LORD, thou art God, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:[x]MKJV: And now, LORD, You [are] God, and have promised this goodness to Your servant. BBE: And now, O Lord, you are God, and you have said you will give this good thing to your servant: KAV: 이제, {주}여, 주는 [하나님]이시니이다. 주께서 이 선한 일을 주의 종에게 약속하셨사오니
26 And now, O Lord, you are God, and you have said you will give this good thing to your servant:
26 여호와여 오직 주는 하나님이시라 주께서 이 좋은 것으로 주의 종에게 허락하시고
27 Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and it shall beblessed for ever.[x]MKJV: And now let it please You to bless the house of Your servant so that it may be before You forever. For You have blessed, O LORD, and it [is] blessed forever. BBE: And now you have been pleased to give your blessing to the family of your servant, so that it may go on for ever before you; you, O Lord, have given your blessing, and a blessing will be on it for ever. KAV: 그런즉 이제 주께서 주의 종의 집에 복 주시기를 기뻐하사 그 집이 주 앞에 영원토록 있게 하옵소서. 오 {주}여, 주께서 복을 주시오니 그 집이 영원토록 복을 받으리이다, 하니라.
27 And now you have been pleased to give your blessing to the family of your servant, so that it may go on for ever before you; you, O Lord, have given your blessing, and a blessing will be on it for ever.
27 이제 주께서 종의 집에 복을 주사 주 앞에 영원히 두시기를 기뻐하시나이다 여호와여 주께서 복을 주셨사오니 이 복을 영원히 누리리이다 하니라
