1 Then David had discussions with the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds and with every chief.
1 다윗이 천부장과 백부장 곧 모든 장수로 더불어 의논하고
2 And Davidsaid unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seemgood unto you, and that it be of the LORD our God, let us sendabroad unto our brethren every where, that areleft in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Leviteswhich are in their citiesandsuburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us:[x]MKJV: And David said to all the congregation of Israel, If it is good to you, and if it has broken forth from the LORD our God, let us send to our brothers, those remaining in all the lands of Israel, and with them to the priests and Levites in their cities that they be gathered to us. BBE: And David said to all the men of Israel who had come together there, If it seems good to you and if it is the purpose of the Lord our God, let us send to all the rest of our brothers, everywhere in the land of Israel, and to the priests and the Levites in their towns and the country round them, and get them to come together here to us; KAV: 다윗이 이스라엘 온 회중에게 이르되, 만일 너희가 좋게 여기고 또 그 일이 {주} 우리 [하나님]에게서 나왔으면 우리가 이스라엘 온 땅에 남아 있는 우리 형제들과 또 그들과 함께 그들의 도시와 주변 지역에 거하는 제사장들과 레위 사람들에게 사람을 널리 보내어 그들을 우리에게로 모이게 하고
2 And David said to all the men of Israel who had come together there, If it seems good to you and if it is the purpose of the Lord our God, let us send to all the rest of our brothers, everywhere in the land of Israel, and to the priests and the Levites in their towns and the country round them, and get them to come together here to us;
2 이스라엘의 온 회중에게 이르되 만일 너희가 선히 여기고 또 우리의 하나님 여호와께로 말미암았으면 우리가 이스라엘 온 땅에 남아 있는 우리 형제와 또 저희와 함께 들어 있는 성읍에 거하는 제사장과 레위 사람에게 보내어 저희를 우리에게로 모이게 하고
3 And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we inquired not at it in the days of Saul.[x]MKJV: And let us bring again the ark of our God to us. For we did not inquire at it in the days of Saul. BBE: And let us get back for ourselves the ark of our God: for in the days of Saul we did not go to it for directions. KAV: 우리가 우리 [하나님]의 궤를 우리에게로 다시 옮겨오자. 사울 시대에는 우리가 그 궤 앞에서 여쭙지 아니하였노라, 하매
3 And let us get back for ourselves the ark of our God: for in the days of Saul we did not go to it for directions.
3 우리가 우리 하나님의 궤를 옮겨오자 사울 때에는 우리가 궤 앞에서 묻지 아니하였느니라 하매
4 And all the congregationsaid that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.[x]MKJV: And all the congregation said to do so, for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people. BBE: And all the people said they would do so, for it seemed right to them. KAV: 그 일이 온 백성의 눈에 옳게 보이므로 온 회중이 자기들이 그대로 행하겠다고 말하매
4 And all the people said they would do so, for it seemed right to them.
4 뭇 백성이 이 일을 선히 여기므로 온 회중이 그대로 행하겠다 한지라
5 So Davidgathered all Israeltogether, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjathjearim.[x]MKJV: And David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even to the entering of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjath-jearim. BBE: So David sent for all Israel to come together, from Shihor, the river of Egypt, as far as the way into Hamath, to get the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim. KAV: 이에 다윗이 기럇여아림에서 [하나님]의 궤를 가져오려고 이집트의 시홀에서부터 하맛의 입구에 이르기까지 온 이스라엘을 함께 모았더라.
5 So David sent for all Israel to come together, from Shihor, the river of Egypt, as far as the way into Hamath, to get the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.
5 이에 다윗이 애굽의 시홀 시내에서부터 하맛 어귀까지 온 이스라엘을 불러 모으고 기럇여아림에서부터 하나님의 궤를 메어 오고자 할쌔
6 And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjathjearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the LORD, that dwellethbetween the cherubims, whose name is calledon it.[x]MKJV: And David and all Israel went up to Baalah, to Kirjath-jearim of Judah, to bring up from there the ark of Jehovah God, He who dwells between the cherubs, whose name is called on it. BBE: And David went up, with all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim in Judah, to get up from there the ark of God, over which the holy Name is named, the name of the Lord whose place is between the winged ones. KAV: 다윗이 온 이스라엘을 거느리고 바알라 곧 유다에 속한 기럇여아림으로 올라가서 그룹들 사이에 거하시는 {주} [하나님]의 궤를 거기서 가져오려 하였는데 그들이 그분의 이름을 그 궤 위에서 부르느니라.
6 And David went up, with all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim in Judah, to get up from there the ark of God, over which the holy Name is named, the name of the Lord whose place is between the winged ones.
6 다윗이 온 이스라엘을 거느리고 바알라 곧 유다에 속한 기럇여아림에 올라가서 여호와 하나님의 궤를 메어오려 하니 이는 여호와께서 두 그룹 사이에 계시므로 그 이름으로 일컫는 궤라
7 And they carried the ark of God in a newcart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahiodrave the cart.[x]MKJV: And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab. And Uzza and Ahio led the cart. BBE: And they put the ark of God on a new cart, and took it out of the house of Abinadab; and Uzza and Ahio were the drivers of the cart. KAV: 그들이 [하나님]의 궤를 새 수레에 싣고 아비나답의 집에서 나오는데 웃사와 아히오는 수레를 몰며
7 And they put the ark of God on a new cart, and took it out of the house of Abinadab; and Uzza and Ahio were the drivers of the cart.

8 And David and all IsraelplayedbeforeGod with all theirmight, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.[x]MKJV: And David and all Israel played before God with all [their] might, and with singing, and with lyres, and with harps, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets. BBE: Then David and all Israel made melody before God with all their strength, with songs and corded instruments of music, and with brass instruments and horns. KAV: 다윗과 온 이스라엘은 [하나님] 앞에서 힘을 다하여 놀고 노래하며 하프와 비파와 작은북과 심벌즈와 나팔로 연주하니라.
8 Then David and all Israel made melody before God with all their strength, with songs and corded instruments of music, and with brass instruments and horns.
8 다윗과 이스라엘 온 무리는 하나님 앞에서 힘을 다하여 뛰놀며 노래하며 수금과 비파와 소고와 제금과 나팔로 주악하니라
9 And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxenstumbled.[x]MKJV: And when they came to the threshing-floor of Chidon, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark for the oxen stumbled. BBE: And when they came to the grain-floor of Chidon, Uzza put out his hand to keep the ark in its place, for the oxen were slipping. KAV: ¶ 그들이 기돈의 타작마당에 이르렀을 때에 소들이 비틀거리므로 웃사가 자기 손을 내밀어 그 궤를 붙들었더니
9 And when they came to the grain-floor of Chidon, Uzza put out his hand to keep the ark in its place, for the oxen were slipping.
9 기돈의 타작 마당에 이르러서는 소들이 뛰므로 웃사가 손을 펴서 궤를 붙들었더니
10 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he diedbeforeGod.[x]MKJV: And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and He struck him because he put his hand to the ark. And he died there before the LORD. BBE: And the wrath of the Lord, burning against Uzza, sent destruction on him because he had put his hand on the ark, and death came to him there before God. KAV: 웃사가 궤에 손을 대었으므로 {주}의 분노가 그를 향해 타올라 그분께서 웃사를 치시매 그가 거기서 [하나님] 앞에서 죽으니라.
10 And the wrath of the Lord, burning against Uzza, sent destruction on him because he had put his hand on the ark, and death came to him there before God.
10 웃사가 손을 펴서 궤를 붙듦을 인하여 여호와께서 진노하사 치시매 웃사가 거기 하나님 앞에서 죽으니라
11 And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzza: wherefore that place is calledPerezuzza to this day.[x]MKJV: And David was displeased because the LORD had made a break on Uzza. And he called that place The Breach of Uzza to this day. BBE: And David was angry because of the Lord's outburst of wrath against Uzza, and he gave that place the name Perez-uzza, to this day. KAV: {주}께서 웃사를 찢으셨으므로 다윗이 기쁘게 여기지 아니하니라. 그러므로 그가 그곳을 베레스웃사라 하니 이 날까지 이르니라.
11 And David was angry because of the Lord's outburst of wrath against Uzza, and he gave that place the name Perez-uzza, to this day.
11 여호와께서 웃사를 충돌하시므로 다윗이 분하여 그곳을 베레스 웃사라 칭하니 그 이름이 오늘날까지 이르니라
12 And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of Godhome to me?[x]MKJV: And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God to me? BBE: And so great was David's fear of God that day, that he said, How may I let the ark of God come to me? KAV: 그 날에 다윗이 [하나님]을 두려워하여 이르되, 내가 어찌 [하나님]의 궤를 집으로 곧 내게로 가져오리요? 하고
12 And so great was David's fear of God that day, that he said, How may I let the ark of God come to me?
12 그 날에 다윗이 하나님을 두려워하여 가로되 내가 어찌 하나님의 궤를 내 곳으로 오게 하리요 하고
13 So Davidbrought not the arkhome to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.[x]MKJV: And David did not bring the ark to himself to the City of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. BBE: So David did not let the ark come back to him to the town of David, but had it turned away and put into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. KAV: 이에 그 궤를 집으로 자기에게로 곧 다윗의 도시로 가져가지 아니하고 궤를 옆으로 가져가 가드 사람 오벳에돔의 집에 이르게 하였으므로
13 So David did not let the ark come back to him to the town of David, but had it turned away and put into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
13 궤를 옮겨 다윗성 자기에게 메어들이지 못하고 치우쳐 가드 사람 오벧에돔의 집으로 메어가니라
14 And the ark of Godremained with the family of Obededom in his housethreemonths. And the LORDblessed the house of Obededom, and all that he had.[x]MKJV: And the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that he had. BBE: And the ark of God was in the house of Obed-edom for three months; and the Lord sent a blessing on the house of Obed-edom and on all he had. KAV: [하나님]의 궤가 오벳에돔의 집에서 그의 가족과 함께 석 달 동안 머물렀고 {주}께서 오벳에돔의 집과 그가 소유한 모든 것에 복을 주셨더라.
14 And the ark of God was in the house of Obed-edom for three months; and the Lord sent a blessing on the house of Obed-edom and on all he had.
14 하나님의 궤가 오벧에돔의 집에서 그 권속과 함께 석달을 있으니라 여호와께서 오벧에돔의 집과 그 모든 소유에 복을 내리셨더라
