17 And David went out to them, and said to them, If you have come in peace to give me help, my heart will be united with yours; but if you have come to give me up to those who would take my life, though my hands are clean from wrongdoing, then may the God of our fathers see it and give you punishment.
17 다윗이 나가서 맞아 저희에게 일러 가로되 만일 너희가 평화로이 와서 나를 돕고자 하면 내 마음이 너희와 연합하려니와 만일 너희가 나를 속여 내 대적에게 붙이고자 하면 내 손에 불의함이 없으니 우리 열조의 하나님이 감찰하시고 책망하시기를 원하노라 하매
18 Then the spiritcame upon Amasai, who waschief of the captainsㆍ, and he said, Thine are we,David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peacebe unto thee, and peacebe to thine helpers; for thy Godhelpeth thee. Then Davidreceived them, and made them captains of the band.[x]MKJV: And the Spirit came on Amasai, chief of the Thirty. [And he said], We [are] yours, David, and on your side, son of Jesse. 18 Then the spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, We are yours, David, we are on your side, O son of Jesse: may peace be with you and peace be with your helpers; for God is your helper. Then David took them into his army and made them captains of the band.

19 And there fellsome of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisementsent him away, saying, He will fall to his masterSaul to the jeopardy of our heads.[x]MKJV: And [some] from Manasseh fell to David when he came with the Philistines to battle against Saul. (But they did not help them. For the lords of the Philistines sent him away on advice, saying, He will fall to his master Saul with our heads.) BBE: And some of the men of Manasseh came over to David, when he went with the Philistines to the war against Saul, but he gave them no help: for the lords of the Philistines, after discussion, sent him away, saying, He will go back to his master Saul, at the price of our lives. 19 And some of the men of Manasseh came over to David, when he went with the Philistines to the war against Saul, but he gave them no help: for the lords of the Philistines, after discussion, sent him away, saying, He will go back to his master Saul, at the price of our lives.

31 And from the half-tribe of Manasseh, eighteen thousand, listed by name, came to make David king.

33 Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fiftythousand, which could keep rank: they were not of doubleheart.[x]MKJV: From Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all the weapons of war, fifty thousand who could keep rank. 37 From the other side of Jordan, there were a hundred and twenty thousand of the Reubenites and the Gadites and the men of the half-tribe of Manasseh, armed with every sort of instrument of war.
37 요단 저편 르우벤 자손과 갓 자손과 므낫세 반 지파 중에서 모든 군기를 가지고 능히 싸우는 자가 십 이만명이었더라
38 All these men of war, that could keeprank, came with a perfectheart to Hebron, to make Davidking over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israelwere of oneheart to make Davidking.[x]MKJV: All these [were] men of war, keeping rank, they came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over Israel. 40 또 근처에 있는 자로부터 잇사갈과 스불론과 납달리까지도 식물을 나귀와 약대와 노새와 소에 무수히 실어왔으니 곧 과자와 무화과병과 건포도와 포도주와 기름이요 소와 양도 많이 가져왔으니 이스라엘 가운데 희락이 있음이었더라
